Chapter 5: Chapter 5
The fierce clash in the dojo left everyone gasping. Kuina's wide eyes locked onto her father, Koshiro, disbelief written all over her face.
"Father! What the hell is going on?!"
But Koshiro didn't respond to her immediately. Instead, he spoke in a low voice, directing his words toward Zoro.
"Zoro, how can a swordsman's duel ever be decided by luck?"
Zoro's eyes widened as Koshiro's words sank in. Realization struck him like a blade—there was no such thing as luck in battle. His grip on his bamboo sword tightened, and without a word, he turned back to the sword basket, retrieving two more bamboo swords.
With three swords in hand, Zoro assumed his Santoryu stance, the air around him shifting. His gaze hardened, exuding a killing intent far beyond an ordinary sparring match.
"AHHHHHHH!"
With a fierce roar, Zoro lunged forward like a beast, the bamboo swords in his hands slicing through the air with terrifying force. This was no longer just a friendly duel—it was an all-out battle.
But once again… it was useless.
Dongze's bamboo sword moved like the hand of a god, striking precisely at the weak points of Zoro's blades. But this time, he didn't stop at a single strike—his sword intercepted all three of Zoro's in perfect unison.
SMACK!
Zoro's breath hitched. His mind struggled to process what had just happened. His bamboo swords, his pride, had been stopped effortlessly. It felt as if his entire technique had been dismantled in an instant.
"Impossible!"
"This is impossible!!"
Refusing to accept defeat, rage surged through Zoro's veins. His swords blurred into afterimages as he launched another relentless barrage of strikes.
But Dongze remained unfazed. Every single attack was interrupted halfway, his sword precisely intercepting the point of impact before Zoro could land a proper strike.
The dojo fell into stunned silence.
"H-Hey… am I dreaming?!"
"Y-Yeah… It feels like I haven't woken up yet—someone, slap me!"
"AHHHHH!"
"DAMN IT, WHERE THE HELL DID YOU KICK ME?!"
…
