Chapter 5: Princes:The Care Taker,Part 1
Well, when I was about to leave forest village to Royal Capital. Alicia reached me at Horse Cart stop and suggested that she wanted to help me because I healed her yesterday that took entire half night by using her magic to reach Royal Capital within blink of an eye with help of a teleportation magic, performed by teleportation mages.
"It would be a problem, princes. If someone saw me with you in royal capital."
It was a shock when she revealed how she ended up here. She had known teleportation magic very well.
"Do not worry I will teleport us on the top of our appartment." She said.
"You know teleportation magic. Nothing less from princes." I praised.
Though, we were neighbours but we never had spoken. But this type of development was hard to digest because I had not fought any monster or demon yesterday and my frustration was rising and I was unable to make any wise decision.
"Okay, do as your wish."
We started walking towards forest, so that no one could see princes performing teleportation magic.
"Royals are on different level they can perform different types of magic and acquire skills as they level up."
"I have observed you from yesterday night to up until now. You act differently there and here you are normally behaving."
She dodged my question without a thought. And she also had hesitated a moment. She had observed me quite well and also was able to figure diffrence.
"I am behaving normally."
And I have an advantage here to divert here like she never talked to me so she could not possibly know how I live and behave.
"Well then, it's like none is here,I can perform teleportation magic." She announced.
And she did not asked anything else.
We had reached apartment instantly via teleportation magic, then we went downstairs to our floor.
"I hope, we must not engage in conversation ever."
I told her and without wanting or waiting for answer, I entered in my apartment.
__
Next day, I went to academy.
I reached to my seat which was place top third corner to the window. The thing was I was in Year 1, Class E and Place Princes Alicia was in Year 1,Class A.
"Ken, your sniffling's annoying."
In the class it was I who had ended up with the cold.
As homeroom teacher had pointed out, I had been trying not to snort everything back up my nose. Trying to exhale only resulted in a terrible, wet and unnecessary sound,I was pure loss for me.
Reason was too simple why I had been feeling cold because I had healed injury caused by demon's wound, no one had ever cured demon's wound. If It was normal injury I would not have to face cold.
My throbbing pain was spreading across the back of my head. Though I had taken some over-the-counter magic dificiency medicine, but it was not making any dent in my symptoms even one percent.I was a sad sight.I congested face twisted in nasal distress as I became well acquainted with a tissue.
As the day wore on, my condition had continued to worse.
The headache and runny nose were soon accompanied by throat pain and a fatigue that permeated my body. Though, I single-mindedly hurried home after academy, my body seemed to be losing its battle against the disease, and my pace was slow. I had never thought I would caught up in this message.
Anyway, I had reached the lobby of my apartment building and forced my heavy legs to move them into the stairs, where I leaned against the wall. My breathing was rougher than usual, and I felt hot.
I had been able to face it when I was at school, but I had let my guard down now that home was in sight, and my condition had suddenly taken a turn into the worse, the main problem was I would not use any magic to cure myself as I would create a huge mess. Even the peculiar floating sensation of climbing the stairs, normally not a concern, was now a source of dull agony.
I claimed the victory when eventually stopped on my floor, I struggled to move feet yet forced to began to shuffle toward my apartment. Almost immediately, I was confronted by a sight which was unexpected.
Right there in front of me was the girl I had not expected to speak to her again. Her princes features were on top, she was vibrant and glowing.
"If I let my guard down and tell you these words, I would be drop dead." I thought.
It was good that she was definitely seemed fine and she was healthy as could be. The benefits of her self-care were on openly display.
She hesitated as soon as she got a good look at my face.
"What is this ? You have a fever, it means you had not taken care of yourself after reaching here. You should have known the side effects of low magic."
"It's got nothing to do with you."
I made a face somewhat angry and sad. This was the worst possible outcome to run into her.She was smart, that is why she was sure to quickly figure out how I had caught a cold.
"If you had not healed me you should have fine, atleast."
"There is no connection between these two, I swear."
From my point of view,I had only done her the favor for my own self-satisfaction, and I did not want her fussing over me now.I even did not like it someone taking care of me without my concern.
However, she did not seem likely to just leave me alone. Anxiety was written all over her.
"I am fine, see you later, I am going."
I forced decided to force myself to way out of Alicia's interrogation.
Everything was going fine, To be honest. But, I fell a quite bit when I opened the door of my apartment. Even when The moment got it open, all of my strength left the body.
I was indeed knew and fully trusted that the wall was enough solid that it wouldn't break, and he would not break. Surely it would catch me, and I would be fine.
"The impact will probably hurt a bit, but I guess there's no avoiding it." I murmured, resigning myself to the pain. This was the first time I had facing cold, and I was done.
However, It felt like she firmly took hold of mh arm and forcefully I was upright by her brutal force.
"You.. really are slob. Well atleast I have a chance to repay you."
My head was spinning but I tried to make sense of the words, but really I quickly gave up at this moment. Before I understood what was happening, she had propped up my limp body and opened the door of my apartment. Death was certainly coming for me.
"I think I should... Am going to help you inside. There's no other way, so please forgive the intrusion."
The fever hold, who had no willpower to resist, I meant for me though. I was pulled along, entering my apartment with a girl of my own age for the first time in my life, I was not some sort of normal boy so it had not going to bother me. It was true that I did not had a girlfriend to nurse me back to health, though. It was also common to have a students in these type of relationships specially nobles and royals, may be sometimes commoners too.
but it seemed for me that the princes had descended to care for me, even not a typical princes, she was the Place Princes.
