Chapter 1: Prolonged
Once upon a wild time, a man named Emrys possessed immense power beyond anyone's wildest imagination. Many sought after his abilities, but the weight of his strength became too much for him to bear.
Overwhelmed and fearing the consequences of his power, Emrys decided to flee and seek solace on an unknown island he had bought off of someone.
At least that's what has been said. Even then, it's not the full truth. No, instead he was done with everybody's bullshit, so he left. Not only him but also his son Damian. He went, and he was glad that he left. If only that was the last of the bullshitting.
Let's just say it wasn't, and this is how it all started.

"When are we close, papa?" Damian yet again asked, making Emrys sigh in frustration. They have been on the road for a good hour, and honestly, Emrys couldn't take it anymore. Instead, he has to deal with it until they arrive.
"You had asked that already not even five minutes ago and my answer is still the same son. Which is whenever I feel like telling you." A laugh followed with what he said and it made Damian grumble and turn his head to the side.
"Well, you-" Damian's eyes widened in awe, and yelled at his papa to stop the car. With a halt, Damian roughly tapped on Emrys's shoulder before getting out of the car, making Emrys close his eyes before getting out as well.
On the side of the road, you can see a big wolf pup. Its fur was a mixture of gray and white, and its eyes sparkled with curiosity and innocence.
Emrys chuckled at his son's excitement and approached the pup.
Damian turned around to look at his Papa with a dark look in his eyes. "He will be coming with us, Papa. For I will rain horror on everything around us if he does not come with us."
Emrys scoffed out a laugh before waving his hand at him as a sign of dismissal and started walking back to the car.
"Do you hear me, Papa?! I will do it!"
As Emrys ignored him while waiting in the car, Damian huffed a sigh and picked up the pup, walking to the car.
Damian slammed the door while gently putting the pup on the seat beside Umbra.
It was silent for a little while before Damian glared slightly at his papa. "You didn't have to ignore me as such, Papa.
Now that's when Emrys started laughing. He wiped a single tear before starting the car up and leaving. "You and I both know you will be asking for my help to rain horror, and I would not do it."
Damian huffed before turning his head, staying quiet in the car ride now.
"We are here." Emrys had stated before stepping out of the car. In front of them was a private jet. A big, dark private jet, and in front of the jet was no other than Basi.
Basi is Emrys familiar. A unicorn that have sharp horns with sharp fangs to go with it. Basi was the size of a horse, but he was still growing. When he becomes a full adult, he will be the size of the largest elephant to ever live.
"Basi!!" Not only did Emrys scream his name, but both Emrys and Basi started jumping around each other.
"Oh, have I missed you so much, Basi? Were you good to the people?" Basi stomped his two front hides.
Emrys sighed softly, knowing the answer. "Don't worry, Basi. I won't say anything." Now, that was when Basi shook his vibrant yet dark fur and strutted inside the jet now that he saw his beloved papa.
Emrys, without turning all the way, took Umbra and started walking to the jet. "Well, let's go. It's 30 hours away."
Damian ran into the jet with Fenrir in his arms.
30 hours here we go.
Time Skip
While storms and swirling fog were happening in the background, Damian looked out the window to finally see the island.
"Papa! Papa! Look, papa!"
Emrys smiled softly at his son before the jet did a sharp turn and started heading to the island. "Nirathil." He whispered while looking at Emrys with a soft expression. He will always be his miracle son.
Once they had landed, Damian had rushed out with Basi, Umbra, and Fenrir right behind him.
"Welcome to The Island of Elysara. Name it myself if I do say so." Emrys said while walking off the jet with a whole bunch of bags and boxes floating behind.
Walking up so he was next to his son, he started talking once more. "Before this, I went to check out the island by myself. It was plain. So so plain. I didn't go all the way, though. I only stepped on the island for a good two to three minutes before I left. So, me being me, before I completely left, I infused some of my magic to make this island like a life force that flows every living being on this island. Or, as I like to call it, Essctenia. Kinda proud, if I do say so myself. BUT, enough of me rambling."
Emrys snapped his fingers three times, making everything build itself.
They both look up to see how, instead of storms and fog around them, all they see is the sun hanging low in the sky, casting a golden hue over the lush landscape of Elysara.
Before Emrys and Basi can get excited and start jumping around once more, a breeze rustles through the Heartwood Grove (Emrys, of course, comes up with the name).
Call them crazy, but the towering trees around them started whispering. Literally whispering some secrets.
Basi, being himself, ran towards the whispering, which made both Damian and Emrys run after him.
"Damnit Basi! You are supposed to be this broody unicorn!!"
They found him lying against a tree; the son-and-father duo huffed out a breath because of that.
Damian started to look around, which made Fenrir look around as well, while Umbra was just sleeping on Basi's fur.
"Do you think we'll find anything unknown living here, papa?" Damian asked, glancing up at his father, curiosity filling up in his eyes.
Emily chuckled softly. "In Elysara? Hopefully. I don't want to live a boring life."
Finally, Basi was done with his power nap before jumping on Emrys while they started walking further since Damian wanted to explore a little, and who is Emrys to say no to his son?
As they wandered, they stumbled upon a shimmering pool hidden beneath a canopy of luminescent leaves. The water sparkled like a thousand stars, beckoning them closer. Damian knelt while Aeneas stood next to him.
"Look, Papa," Damina stated, pointing a little. "We should get a sample so we can test for what it is. I thi-what the fu-"
Before he could finish what he was saying, he cut himself off twice.
Why, you may ask? Well, because emerging from the water was a creature unlike any they had seen before, and they had seen a lot.
An elegant, iridescent being with flowing fins and delicate wings. It danced gracefully above the surface, leaving trails of light.
"It's beautiful," Emrys said while in deep thought. "I heard whispers of the Aquael; the description of it describes it perfectly well." He nodded his head before smiling and looked at Basi. "It could be a good meal for my baby Basi."
Basi started stomping his hides on the ground with happiness once he heard that.
But before anything can be stated even more, a gentle tremor shook the ground beneath their feet. The Aquael froze mid-dive, and another creature that started flying over froze as well.
A thick fog began to roll in front of the edges of the grove, swirling around them, making everything turn dark.
"Let's go." Emrys swirls his hands with slow but sharp motions before crystal smoke forms around them. Now, inside the built mansion, Emrys looked out the window while Damian started magic-locking everything.
It looks like the fog enveloped the whole island completely, feeling thick and cold still. The sounds of the ocean faded, replaced by an otherworldly hum that resonated deep within their chests. The world around them seemed to dissolve, and in an instant, they were surrounded by an intense light.
When the light finally faded, Emrys and Damian found their windows and doors banging open around them.
Emrys's eyes glow silver with a hint of darkness around his eyes. He snapped his wrist to the right, closing everything once again.
Damian looked out the window, and his eyes widened. "Uh, Papa? I think you want to see this."
Emrys walked up to him and looked at the window as well.
"What the hell," Emrys whispered before heading to the front door, making Basi run up behind him, following him right away, with Damian, Umbra, and Fenrir right behind them.
Now out of their home, they were standing on a rocky outcrop, overlooking a vast landscape unlike anything they had ever seen. The sky was a deep shade of violet, dotted with three moons, and towering mountains shimmered with crystalline and purple-greyish flame formations.
"The fuck we at Papa?" Damian whispered, staying close to his papa.
Emrys sighed before shaking his head. "Not on Earth. I can tell you that much."
As they took in their surroundings, creatures began to appear one by one. The Aquael and other creatures started glowing brighter, their colors more vivid against the alien sky.
"Okay, now this is getting weird," Damian said with a shake of his head.
"Very," Emrys replied, feeling a surge of confusion. "But now we gotta understand where we are because the magic feels different here, and we obviously can breathe in this."
Emry closed his eyes before slowly tilting his head. Smoke started to form his hands, swirling around slowly.
After a minute, he opened his eyes before waving his hands softly. "Nobody lives here. Like at all."
"This could be our planet." Damian had said it with a bright smile on his face. "But what would we call it?"
Emrys looked at Damian before patting Basi.
"Why don't you name the planet? I know you always wanted to name one."
Umbra and Damian started running around, making Fenrir look at them with confusion.
"Xyloria!" Damian yelled out while Umbra screeched loudly.
Emrys chuckled softly before looking ahead.
As the two of them stood side by side now, surrounded by creatures under the light of the moons, they felt an unbreakable bond with the Xyloria itself. With the magic and mysteries that awaited them in Xyloria.
Sadly, the adventure had just begun, and Emrys could already see that this would be a challenge.
