Planet Xyloria: The Witches' Island

Chapter 3: Twa

While the dramatics of Damian and Umbra were happening, far, far away, in the world of Vorithis—a realm that strode with pride and shimmered in various colors—a group of individuals adorned in glowing purple robes convened in a dimly lit room.

Kneeling before the thrones was none other than Aélius, his aura of mystery bathing him in pure elegance.

"A planet came to be," Aélius began, his rough, low tone echoing around the room. "It was of nothing importance, My Kings, but then there were sightings of power. Ancient-like powers, My Kings."

The elders around the table exchanged looks of curiosity.

"What is different about this found power?" one of them asked.

Aélius rose from his kneeling position, his thoughtful gaze settling on each of the Kings in front of him. "It's not from our realm, My Kings."

Gasps echoed within the room, and the Kings rose from their thrones, their eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"How can this be?" King Serifyio demanded, his authoritarian voice cutting through the tension.

Aélius shook his head, unable to answer the question himself.

"We must investigate this further," King Serifyio declared. The Kings turned to one another, engaging in a silent conversation, debating what to do with this information. Finally, King Jurityfre spoke.

"Aélius, you wish to become one of us?"

Aélius was a hybrid—a mixture of Vorithi and an unknown species. Growing up, he had been belittled for his unique appearance: pure white skin that faded to black, diamond-like wings, and an aura that set him apart from the translucent, shimmering Vorithis.

Looking in King Jurityfre's general direction, Aélius nodded, though his eyes told another story.

"Then go. Go and see what you can uncover about this power." King Jurityfre's tone left no room for argument. "Go and spy. Five months. We are giving you five months before you must return."

Aélius bowed his head, suppressing a sigh. "Every week on the third moon, you will report to us your findings," King Serifyio added.

With a curt nod, Aélius turned and exited the chamber.

Once he was officially gone, he groaned loudly, running a hand through his hair. "Why does it have to be me?" he muttered, stomping down the shimmering hallway. "All I was supposed to do was report what someone else was supposed to report, but of course, they called in sick."

---

Aélius arrived at his modest home, still grumbling under his breath. He flung open the door and began packing his belongings into a large, enchanted satchel. As he tossed in a few shimmering robes and a handful of glowing crystals, his roommate, Sirlous, wandered in, leaning against the doorway with a raised eyebrow.

"What are you doing?" Sirlous asked, his voice dripping with curiosity.

Aélius paused, holding a pair of boots mid-air. "I have to leave," he said, his tone exasperated. "They're sending me to some godsforsaken planet called Xyloria to investigate some ancient power or whatever."

Sirlous blinked. "Xyloria? Never heard of it. What's there?"

Aélius opened his mouth to complain further but suddenly clamped it shut, his eyes narrowing. "I… can't say," he muttered, turning back to his packing. "I don't even know if I'm allowed to talk about it."

Sirlous smirked. "Oh, so it's a secret mission. How dramatic."

Aélius shot him a glare but said nothing. Once his satchel was packed, he slung it over his shoulder and headed for the door. "Wish me luck," he said dryly. "I'll need it."

---

Meanwhile, Damian and Umbra stumbled back into their home, ready to lay down and rest. That is, until light suddenly turned on, making Damian jump and Umbra screech in fright.

Turning around slowly, they were met with his Papa. In his black silky robe with his white long waist length hair all over the place.

Putting one leg over the other, he leaned into the sofa he was sitting on before setting his eyes on his son.

"Nirthil." Damian smiled brightly at his papa, hiding the nervousness.

"Heeeeyyyy Pa-"

"I wake up-" Emrys slowly stood up, his hair casting over his eyes. "I check on my son before making us something to eat and behold. Guess what I found in my sons' room?"

Gulping, Damian opens his mouth, ready to talk, that is until, "I found nothing. Nothing. You weren't there. Why is that?"

"Papa, I-we-I-we were bored. Everyone was asleep and me and Umbra just wanted to explore our new home so we left but then we found this cave and I told Umbra that we shouldn't have went down there but of course Umbra is sassy so he went in and I couldn't just leave him alone so I went in too. Then we found it beautiful until it made me feel pain. I was in pain and then I was singing a fucking lullaby and now I have siren powers. So really I did a good thing by going out because if I didn't, I wouldn't have my siren powers."

During his rant, Emrys looked at Umbra only to see him rolling his eyes clawing gently at Damian leg as if to say "You always snitching."

"Siren powers." Cutting his eyes away from Umbra, he look towards his son to see him nodding his head, mouthing siren powers. "I thought you would have only been a witch but I guess not." Emrys shook his head, moving away from the sofa.

"Now, I understand the curiosity of a young mind but that does not excuse the fact that you two went off without my knowing." Emrys sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I do not wish to yell at you two but you must understand the dangers that lurk out there. We are new to this world Damian. We haven't explore everything together so until then I don't want you going alone. Espiecially at night."

Damian looked down, hating the fact that his papa is scolding him but he knows that he just want him safe.

Tilting his head, he looked at his son for a moment before clapping his hands together. "Now! Who's ready to eat and cuddle? BASI! GET DOWN HERE!"

You could hear a short stomp before Basi calmly strutted his way over.

"Don't act sassy before I give you no ostrich." He was cut off with a whine like neigh.

"NO OSTRICH I SAY!"

Umbra screech softly, jumping into Damian arms before pushing his head towards the stairs.

"Yeah, I definitely need a nap too. Let's go."

---

It was after three hours when Emrys magic flared up, alerting him that someone was coming towards the planet.

Sighing, he leaned back into the family hammock before carefully climbing off, wrapping Damian with his black fluffy comforter.

He crack his neck and cracked his fingers before he swirl his long fingers swiftly and slowly. Now instead of him being in his pjs and robe, it faded into a black long sleeve crop top layered over a fitting silver and black corset, showing off his curves. Its paired with black jogger style pants that has silver zipper details. His long white waist length hair was tied in the back, strands of hair in the front.

He whistled lowly which made Basi stretch, going towards Emrys. "Let's go."

And with that, they started heading to the front of the kingdom.

---

Meanwhile, Aélius had finally made it to the designated coordinates, his satchel slung over his shoulder as he stood in the designated teleportation area. The world around him shimmered and blurred as he felt the familiar sensation of magical energy coursing through him, whisking him away to the mysterious planet of Xyloria.

His mind was racing with thoughts of what awaited him on Xyloria. He honestly didn't want to do this, especially on the day he was filling in for somebody. It's annoying just thinking about it

The journey was uneventful, and when the ship finally landed, Aélius stepped out onto the tri-colored moons and two-sunned planet.

The air was thick with magic, and the landscape was unlike anything he had ever seen—vibrant forests, Dim and Bright Crystals, shimmering rivers, and skies that shifted between hues of gold, purple, and blue. As he took it all in, a figure approached him.

Beautiful.

The male stood before him, his purple eyes glowing with an otherworldly light, his pure white waist-length hair cascading like a waterfall of moonlight. Aélius froze, momentarily stunned by the man's beauty. This mission just got a lot harder,he thought, forcing himself to maintain a neutral expression.

"Welcome. I didn't believe we would have more coming so soon. I am Emrys. King of Xyloria and Valyndris." The male now named Emrys, bowed lowly while the beast behind him bowed as well, eyes still training on him.

Gulping a little, Aélius nodded his head, eyes still looking at the beast. "Aélius. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Noticing what he was staring at, he smiled softly before scratching behind the beast's ear.

"This is one of my babies, Basilius. Basi for short. But enough small talk, come on. I have a lot to show you."

Emrys pulled Aélius towards where Basi was, Aélius allowing himself to be pulled.

Real difficult
