"Okay! But if you lose, you have to be my friend and play with me!" Little Little girl laughed happily after hearing Ash's words.

"Okay!" Ash nodded without hesitation, his expression determined.

He understood that this was just a Psychic projection of Sabrina, appearing as a version of her younger self. In reality, she was nothing more than a ragdoll-like image created by her powers.

Misty and Brock watched nervously from behind. Why had Ash agreed so easily? The old man had warned them: to be her "friend," one would have to become a doll to play with her. "Does Ash really think he can handle this?"

**Whoosh!**

Just then, little Little girl's eyes sparkled. The veil covering her face split apart from left to right, revealing a scene that made Brock and Misty hold their breaths.

Behind little Little girl stood a dark figure. Slowly, it floated forward, rising from a chair, and carried her toward the battlefield.

The figure was a young woman, about eighteen or nineteen years old, dressed in a red dress with black boots. Her long, black-green hair framed a face as cold and expressionless as an iceberg. Her crimson eyes gleamed like rubies.

"Is this the real Sabrina?" Misty murmured. Just the sight of her made a chill run down their spines.

"Wow... she's gorgeous! Maybe being Little girl's friend isn't so bad after all, hehe!" Brock exclaimed, his face flushing and his expression turning dreamy as he ogled Sabrina.

"You idiot! Didn't you see what just happened to that guy earlier?" Misty snapped, smacking Brock hard on the back of the head. "Get a grip!"

Sabrina, still expressionless, spoke through little Little girl, who was cradled in her arms. "The competition will be a one-on-one duel. The first Pokémon to lose its fighting ability ends the match. Understood?"

"No problem. Let's get started!" Ash replied, his voice steady.

Little girl grinned mischievously, holding a Poké Ball in both hands. With a swift motion, she threw it. The ball burst open, releasing a flash of light that revealed her chosen Pokémon.

"This is... Abra!" Misty gasped, frowning slightly. It was no surprise that Sabrina's Pokémon was Psychic-type.

Abra stood on the battlefield, its yellow body resembling a small fox. It had a pointed nose and leathery brown skin covering its chest and shoulders, which looked like armor. Its hands and feet each had three fingers, and a long tail extended behind it, marked with a brown band.

Its eyes remained closed, as if it were fast asleep. In reality, it was in a state of constant rest, gathering energy.

"Abra sleeps over 18 hours a day," Misty said nervously. "Even while resting, it can use Psychic to sense its surroundings and avoid danger. It's basically always ready for battle, even when it looks like it's sleeping!"

"This will be an interesting match," Ash said, stepping forward and gripping his own Poké Ball tightly. "Let's see how you handle this!"

"Go, Devileon!" Ash shouted, tossing his Poké Ball.

With a loud **boom**, the battlefield lit up with another flash of light.

The light flickered, revealing the silhouette of Ash's Devileon on the battlefield. Its form was mysterious and intimidating, unfamiliar even to Sabrina, who frowned slightly at its appearance. In contrast, the Little girl in her arms appeared uneasy, her expression betraying fear.

This fear wasn't new—Sabrina's childlike side had encountered this Devileon in the forest last night and had fled in terror.

"Ash sent out a Devileon, but it's only just evolved," Misty murmured, her voice tinged with worry. "We don't even know what it's fully capable of yet. Will it be okay?"

"The Devileon is a Ghost-type," Brock analyzed. "Ghost-types have an advantage over Psychic-types. Tactically, this is the right choice."

Ghost-type moves were immune to Psychic-type control, making Ash's choice the best counter against Sabrina's formidable Psychic abilities.

"Come on!!" Sabrina finally spoke, her icy voice cutting through the tension.

"Devileon, use *Swift*!" Ash called out, seizing the first move.

The Devileon obeyed instantly, opening its mouth to release a barrage of golden stars that streaked toward Abra. Sabrina, however, didn't issue a verbal command. Instead, her crimson eyes flashed, and Abra, who appeared to be sleeping, suddenly glowed with a red light.

**Whoosh!**

In an instant, Abra vanished, completely enveloped in white light. The stars of Swift, which always hit their target under normal circumstances, flew harmlessly through the empty air and crashed to the ground, exploding into sparks.

"It's *Teleport*! But Sabrina didn't even say anything!" Misty gasped, her eyes wide with shock.

"No, Sabrina is controlling Abra telepathically," Brock explained, frowning. "Abra's been resting, but Sabrina uses her Psychic powers to directly transmit commands to it."

"It's exactly what that old man said," Misty muttered, her worry deepening. "This is basically two against one! How is Ash supposed to win against that?"

"It all depends on how Ash and the Devileon respond," Brock replied, keeping his focus on the field.

Abra had disappeared entirely, and Sabrina showed no sign of giving any audible orders. This left Ash and his Pokémon blind to where Abra might reappear.

"Teleport makes it impossible to predict where Abra will strike next," Misty said, scanning the field alongside Brock. But no matter where they looked, Abra was nowhere to be found.

"You're not the only one who can hide!" Ash called out confidently, his eyes glinting with determination. Sabrina's expression flickered ever so slightly at his words.

"Devileon, use *Dig*!" Ash commanded.

The Devileon immediately understood. It sprang forward, diving into the ground with ease and vanishing into the earth. The battlefield grew eerily silent, with both trainers' Pokémon now hidden, each waiting for the other to make their move.
