It seemed that upon reaching the Elite Four-level, Pokémon's physical size also grew significantly—just like Crobat's had.

Noticing this, Ron recalled the gradual changes in the size of his Machamp and the others.

At first, Ron thought it was due to his training methods and the influence of his combat aura, but now it seemed breakthroughs in power might also contribute.

Without overthinking, Ron focused on the newly arrived Heracross, realizing that the village's legend was true—there really was a Elite Four-level Heracross living here.

Thanks to his fighting aura, Ron could clearly see that this Heracross was old, and its power had likely diminished with age.

This was why the Elite Four-level Heracross hadn't appeared immediately but was compelled to fight only after sensing Crobat's emergence.

"Machamp, Persian, retrieve Charizard and Heracross," Ron commanded.

"Bellossom, use Grassy Terrain, and Kirlia, heal Heracross with Heal Pulse."

"Village Chief Jovanni, the battle isn't over yet. Now's not the time to relax," Ron reminded him while coordinating his Pokémon.

Following Ron's orders, Machamp and Persian moved into action.

Focused on Heracross, Omar allowed Machamp and Persian to carry out their tasks unhindered.

Watching Ron's diligence, Jovanni felt comforted.

From the start of the battle, Ron hadn't slacked off for even a moment. Machamp and Persian would rest and replenish their strength between bouts, then rejoin the fight.

Bellossom consistently used Grassy Terrain to support the team, ensuring more Pokémon could stay in fighting condition.

Kirlia's vigilant monitoring of the village's center allowed Jovanni and others to fight without fear of surprise attacks, and even villagers occasionally benefited from Kirlia's timely warnings, helping them evade enemy assaults or gain advantageous positions.

On the frontlines, apart from Jovanni himself, Ron's contributions shone the brightest.

"You're right! Let's treat the injured—both villagers and Pokémon. The battle isn't over, and we can't afford to let our guard down!" Jovanni's voice rallied the villagers, prompting those on the walls to spring into action.

Meanwhile, the Elite Four-level Heracross launched its attack on Crobat.

Allowing his subordinates to rest, Omar commanded Crobat to engage Heracross.

Though aged, Heracross retained its battle-hardened experience from countless fights.

Starting with Pin Missile for disruption and area control, Heracross then followed up with a Aerial Ace and Megahorn combo for a direct assault.

"Crobat, show this old relic its time has passed! Use Air Slash to cut it down!" Omar barked.

Crobat responded immediately, unleashing a flurry of Air Slashes that resembled a bladed storm, slicing through Heracross's Pin Missiles before targeting the Pokémon itself.

Using its agility, Heracross deftly maneuvered through the onslaught of Air Slashes.

"Crobat, Swift for interference, followed by Cross Poison!"

The star-shaped projectiles flew toward Heracross, only to be shattered effortlessly.

Flapping its four wings in unison, Crobat vanished from sight, reappearing with a purple glow resembling a radiant cross as it charged forward.

The two collided, sending shockwaves rippling through the air like crashing waves.

Ultimately, Heracross's superior strength allowed it to push Crobat back.

Before Heracross could capitalize on its advantage, Crobat retaliated with another Air Slash, forcing Heracross to retreat.

After the exchange, Heracross resumed its strategy, using Pin Missile to disrupt and following up with another Aerial Ace and Megahorn assault.

"The same trick won't work on me twice! Crobat, Supersonic, then combine Steel Wing with Aerial Ace!"

Visible soundwaves radiated outward, disorienting Heracross and slowing its movements.

Crobat's wings gleamed with a metallic sheen as it executed the combo, disappearing and reappearing with blinding speed.

Sensing danger, Heracross snapped out of its confusion.

Though affected by Supersonic, the Elite Four-level Heracross's mental resilience prevented it from succumbing entirely.

The two clashed once more, with Crobat overpowering Heracross this time, knocking it down.

"Crobat, finish it with Hyper Beam!"

At Elite Four-level strength, Pokémon could control the power of moves like Hyper Beam, reducing recoil effects.

Heracross steadied itself and countered with Focus Punch, charging headlong into the beam.

As their attacks collided, the resulting energy blast lit up the battlefield, forcing most onlookers to shield their eyes.

Only Ron, empowered by his combat aura, could withstand the dazzling light, witnessing Heracross press forward.

Suddenly, Crobat unleashed a surge of power, forcing Heracross back while exhausting its own Hyper Beam energy.

As the intense light faded, the two combatants appeared evenly matched.
