Pokemon Adventure: New Adventure

Zen stretched his arms as he arrived at Viridian Park, feeling excited.

Today's plan? Training.

Weedle wriggled on his shoulder, chirping happily.

But just as they were about to start..

Zen spotted a familiar face.

The boy with Diglett.

Zen walked up to him and greeted him.

"Yo! We fought yesterday, right?"

The boy looked at him and frowned.

It was clear he wasn't happy to see Zen.

"Tch. What do you want?"

Zen ignored the attitude.

"My name is Zen, What's your name?"

The boy crossed his arms.

"Rock."

Zen raised an eyebrow.

"Rock? Like, the actual rock?"

"Shut up! My name's Rock, and I'm going to be the best Ground-type trainer in Kanto!"

Zen smirked.

"Oh yeah? Diglett's your first Pokémon?"

Rock nodded, looking at Diglett, who was happily playing in the dirt with Weedle.

"It's a gift from my father."

Zen could tell Rock really cared about Diglett.

"Alright, then! Ready for a rematch?"

Rock shook his head.

"No. I need to train more before I battle you again."

Zen blinked.

"Huh? You sure? I mean, yesterday, you—"

Rock glared.

"I said no."

Zen shrugged.

"Fine, whatever. Im going to find someone else to battle."

Rock hesitated but then followed Zen.

The two walked side by side, Weedle and Diglett playing behind them.

As they walked, Zen spotted someone.

A kid standing near Viridian Gym.

Zen recognized him instantly.

It was the same boy who ignored him last time.

Zen grinned and walked up to him.

"Hey! You ignored me before, but today, I'm challenging you!"

The boy turned his head, looking bored.

Then he smirked.

"You? Battle me? Hah! You're going to lose."

Zen gritted his teeth.

"We'll see about that. Let's battle!"

Zen grabbed Weedle from his shoulder and placed him on the battlefield.

The boy pulled out his Poké Ball and threw it.

"Go, Voltorb!"

A round, red-and-white Pokémon appeared, its eyes glowing with electricity.

Rock's eyes widened.

"Damn… Electric vs. Bug… this is going to be hard for Zen."

Zen felt his heart pound.

He had never fought an Electric-type before.

"Alright, let's see what we can do!"

The boy smirked.

"Voltorb, Thunder Shock!"

A spark of electricity shot toward Weedle.

Zen quickly reacted.

"Weedle, dodge! Then String Shot!"

Weedle jumped to the side, dodging the attack.

Then, he spat sticky silk, wrapping Voltorb's body.

Zen saw his chance.

"Now, Weedle—Bug Bite!"

Weedle lunged forward, biting Voltorb's body.

The boy's eyes widened in shock as thing happen to fast.

"W-What?!"

The boy gritted his teeth.

"Voltorb, Charge!"

Voltorb glowed with electricity, powering up.

Zen saw sparks travel through Weedle's body.

"Oh no, Weedle!"

Weedle cried out, tiny sparks dancing on his shell.

Zen clenched his fists.

"Weedle, let go! Get away from him!"

Weedle released his bite, backing off.

The boy laughed.

"Weak! End them now, Voltorb—Thunder Shock!"

Voltorb didn't move.

The boy's smile faded.

Then, he saw it.

Voltorb was trembling.

Its body had turned purple.

It was poisoned.

The poison had taken effect when string shot hit voltorb and the poison enchanted with Weedle bug bite.

After month of poisonous plant consumed, now each weedle move set have poison properties with it

A second later—

Voltorb collapsed.

"V-Voltorb?!"

Voltorb fainted.

Zen grinned proudly.

"Nice work, Weedle!"

The boy's face turned red with anger.

He threw money at Zen.

"Take it! I don't care!"

Zen caught the bills and counted.

"Whoa… 1000 Pokédollars?!"

That was so much money for him!

As the boy took Voltorb's Poké Ball, he turned back.

"Remember my name, kid. It's Tron."

He pointed at Zen.

"Next time, I'm going to crush you and that Weedle."

Zen smirked.

"Looking forward to it, Tron."

Tron stormed away.

Rock walked up to Zen, still stunned.

"That was insane… You actually beat an Electric-type pokemon with Bug Type pokemon."

Zen grinned.

"All thanks to Weedle."

Weedle chirped happily, rubbing against Zen's leg.

Rock chuckled.

"Guess we better head to the Pokémon Center."

Zen nodded.

Together, they walked toward Viridian Pokémon Center.
