Pokemon: Bond Evolutions of Pokémon

Chapter 311: 311. Destiny Deoxys 4

It was getting quite late, but the night sky was still very colorful due to the purple auroras that was happening over the city's sky.

Ash and his group invited Tory to have dinner with them, and Pikachu also invited the wild Plusle and Minun to share his food with the two fellow electric rodents.

These two little guys started following Tory around everywhere he went and began to develop a kind with him, something very extraordinary when thinking that they had just met in the middle of the city.

After arriving at the closest Pokémon Center to settle down for the night, the three siblings Rafe, and the twin sisters, Audrey and Kathryn, also enjoyed the aurora together as a family.

Tory also sent some homemade exquisite cookies made specially for them by Yuko, his sister figure, all in the shape of the Pokémon's they own.

Togetic and Ralts were both very happy holding the cookies that were shaped like them.

Rebbaca held the computer and desperately investigated the colorful aurora in in the night sky, "This should be impossible! This kind of aurora phenomenon should only appear in the the very noryh or the south! Not in a tropical Region like Hoenn!"

Just then, her computer lens was blocked by Brock's face, "Miss Rebbaca, you are more beautiful than any aurora I have ever seen, please use that camera to capture my heart. I would lov—!"

Before he could finish speaking, his heartbroken patterned Spinda jumped out and hugged his leg, which also made his heart shatter into many pieces.

Ash looked at it and said to himself, "These two really were meant to be…"

This is obvious from Ash's perspective. The compatibility between Spinda and Brock has reached the highest point, and even their Bond Value has increased by leaps and bounds from when they first met, reaching an astonishing 220 of 245 points.

"Ash, trust me when I say this; you are even more stronger than I thought you were. I heard of rumors of you fighting Champion Lance to and beating him, but I thought they were just that—rumors, like most everyone else." Rafe came to Ash's side, "Ash, you're so strong yet you always stay low key from the attention of all media related things; just why tho? That is like the perfect life, you could have unlimited attention, especially with you Latios, a Legendary Pokémon."

Rafe seeemed genuinely confused, if he was in Ash's position and had all the power and strong Pokémon's like Ash had, he would have loved to be in the spotlight. It also didn't help that Ash was a handsome dude, 'no homo', that made it even more easier to get the attention and support from almost everyone.

"I have a different opinion of that," Ash chuckled, "I could have all the attention and more, but I don't want that. If I do want to do it now, I could very easily take over the vacant Elite 4 position in Kanto, my home region, and get all the attention of the media, from every corner of the world—but I don't do that. I have already talked to Lance about this, he wanted to focus his time more on Johtos stability and improving his strength as the Champion of the Johto Region, so he asked me many times to take over his position as a member of the Kanto Elite 4, but I always refused it."

[Who do you think you are to say this to my dear Master! You are nothing!] Ciel seemed pissed at Rafe's question.

Ash said in a very calm manner, ignoring Ciel completely, he could talk to her later. This shocked everyone there, including May, Max and all of their new friends.

Even May and Max had never heard about this. The only one who did know were the people closest to him.

"Then why not? That's something that every Trainer could only ever dream of—and here you are, just refusing it without a single thought!" Sid, who was happily munching on his food, genuinely felt anger.

Brock walked up to them and smiled, "Ash, you finally went with that original path, haven't you?"

Ash nodded, "Yes, this is the reason why I ever began my journey, and I won't stop until I have completed it."

"So, Sid," he then turned his attention to the angered Sid, "you want to know why I don't become an Elite 4 member or whatnot, right? Well the answer is easy—I'm still young. I want to explore the world and meet new people and Pokémon's. I want to become the embodiment of strength—the Pokémon Master!" Ash it the end sounded truly like the Master he was destined to be.

He was radiating pure AURA.

"And Rafe, the reason I don't get close to the media is because more often than not, they can get very annoying. So I always make sure to stay off of their radars. Anyway, I have too many things that I have left to do before I retire from my journey." Ash needed this topic with practiced ease.

Rafe seems to want to change the topic entirely. "You also have a Combusken, do you want to fight against my Blaziken?"

"Challenge my Combusken with your Blaziken?" Ash looked at him closer than ever. Was he trying to regain his face for his twin younger sisters by beating his Combusken?

But Ash will not refuse the invitation to battle if he has a chice.

"I'd he happy to accompany you to this battle."

In a rare good time, tho most were trying to forgot about what Ash just said, they all released their Pokémon's.

The large Pokémon's like Ash's Sceptile, Swampert and Sid's Blastoise became a playground for all of the young kids and small Pokémon's here.

"Combusken, come here, buddy," Ash patted his Combusken's head gently, "Don't be envious, you will soon evolve into your final stage, like your partners."

Unlike Sceptile and Swampert, which were already at a high level and had decent experience of living in the wild since the moment when they joined Ash's team, Combusken, or Torchic at that time, was born not long ago and lived a mostly sheltered life.

When he first joined Ash's team, he was still young compared to the other two, although much more ferocious than them, so it is important to play it slow and steady now, and there was no need to rush to complete his evolution. In the long run, evolving prematurely will bring hidden challenges with it. Not every Pokémon was like Ash's Charizard, who wasn't exactly known because of following the rules.

Combusken glanced at Rafe's Blaziken, who was much more shorter than his two recently evolved friends, and smiled contemptuously.

"Busy!" (When I evolve, I will definitely be much taller than you, puny.)

May's Combusken also came over to say hello to his future evolutionary form. May's Combusken, who was standing together with the Rafe's Blaziken, realized that Ash's Combusken is much bigger than him, even though he was the older one most them. It's current height was almost that of the Blaziken standing next to him.

Ash's Combusken lowered his head to look at its former predecessor. It had never paid attention to it from the beginning, and it was even more so now, this guy had never prioritized its training, but instead always wanted to be lazy.

"Let's start the battle mow, Combusken against Blaziken!" Brock served as the referee for this battle like always.

"Combusken, let's attack first, Flame Charge!" Ash took the lead in attacking in this battle, first using Flame Charge to continuously increase its speed and the force behind its attack.

"Already? Even my Blaziken doesn't know know how to use this move." Rafe was stunned. He had always wanted to teach this move to his Blaziken, but no matter what, he just couldn't learn it. In the moment he was stuck in his confusion, Combusken turned into a fireball and hit Blaziken head on.

"Damn it, Blaziken, Blaze Kick!" Rafe gritted his teeth, absolutely not wanting to be suppressed by Ash's again for the second time in a single day, and his Blaziken got ready to kick Combusken hard with a burning kick.

But Combusken, whose body was still covered with flames, had greatly increased his speed and was able to avoid the Blaze Kick.

"Sky Uppercut!"

This was the best time to launch an attack like this. Ash's combat experience was far too rich for someone still as inexperienced as Rafe, Ash was easily able to seize the lat moment of fleeting attack opportunity to take the advantage again.

Combusken jumped up high and knocked the still confused Blaziken into the air with one punch.

"Blaziken!" Rafe exclaimed outloud. He didn't expect that even if he used his strongest Pokémon, his Blaziken, to challenge Ash's Combusken, he still wouldn't be able to gain any of the advantage that he had initially expected. Rafe, who had always been confident in his own strength and as a known "genius" from his city, couldn't help but feel shaken.

"This… is this the power of a Champion?" He wondered. "When will I be able to get this power."

"So, is this what all the bond between you and your prized Blaziken?" Ash suddenly asked him.

Rafe finally came back to his senses, "What did you say?"

He saw Blaziken falling on the ground and looking back at Rafe behind me. His eyes were still the firm shape they always were. Even if it was at a disadvantage in front of its pre-evolution form, he had no intention of admitting defeat without giving it his all.

"Blaziken!" Rafe looked at Blaziken's firm eyes, "I understand it now, Blaziken, I won't give up! Blaziken, use Flamethrower!"

It is obviously unwise to compete with his own evolved form in this type of long ranged attack, one where he had less power in and was something that couldn't be changed so easily. Ash smiled softly and said, "Flame Charge!"

The multiple use of this move had greatly increased its speed, so Combusken was now easily able to avoid the attack range of the Flamethrower, and then hit Blaziken hard agin. Even if the effect was not good, as Flame Charge was a Fire-type (who could have taught), Combusken had already hit Blaziken's arms, the same place he had also hit many times before.

"Double Kick!"

Combusken used his strong legs to kick Blaziken hard again. This version of Double Kick was a unique way that Combusken's was able to use thanks to the hard practice he had under the training of Ash's Hitmonlee.

Although Combusken was not tall enough to perfectly use it like how Hitmonlee was able to use it, but his waist and leg power were still good enough to deal some real damage. The second kick hit Blaziken's abdomen hard and kicked him up in the air again.

Then it also jumped up, chased Blaziken and kicked out a third and a fourth time with his Double Kick attack, which was basically like its signature skill for the moment.

"Blaziken, we can't lose like this, Flamethrower!" Rafe's fighting spirit was also burning to the limit under Ash's powerful aura. Blaziken, who was kicked into the air for who knows for the how many time, suddenly opened his eyes.

Fiery pillars of fire fell from the sky!

However, facing the blazing flames, Combusken was grinning very wildly, "It's time to end this!"

Combusken turned into a blazing fireball again and rushed straight into the pillar of fire created by Blaziken. With Blaziken's eyes widening, he was knocked away again.

Thump!

The Fire-type attack Blaziken was relentlessly using had completely charred the ground and it was the same ground that he crashed on.

"Blaziken loses the ability to fight, meaning Combusken wins this battle!"

Brock announced Ash's victory, something that he was also quite used to these days.

Combusken jumped back to Ash's side, and casually swatted out the ash taht was left on his body. With every move he made, he already had the demeanor of an experienced warrior.

"That was amazing!" There were many Trainers with certain abilities present here on this ground, but all of them were impressed by the strength of Ash's "simple" Combusken, and kept clapping for them.

However, at this moment, just outside the city where Ash's Aura Sense couldn't reach, an alien-looking Pokémon appears there in the sky. It used its own special energy to scan everything around it, but everything it sweeped on was destroyed.

The wild and Trainer owned Pokémon's were knocked out and lost their fighting ability in large masses.

Various facilities and equipment exploded in an instant, and major electronic equipment experienced short circuits and could not be used for now, it was an extremely expensive accident. The convenient technology that this city was so proud of after decades of development seemed like simple blocks that fell over when pushed.

And it also didn't know that Rayquaza, which mostly lived in the ozone layer, also sensed its presence and actually got down from high altitude.

This was exactly the same Rayquaza from all those years ago.

The Deoxys that came to this world with mysterious meteorite was considered by Rayquaza to have invaded its territory. Even though many long years have passed, it could still sense its Aura and was able to pursue it.
