Green Forest Stream
In the dense forest, cicadas sing softly and the sun pierces through the thick shadows, casting dappled lights and shadows.
"Yes."
After Thomas and Oliver left, Emolga seemed to remember something important. It jumped to the ground, stretched its tiny feet, and ran into the distance.
Bruce froze for a moment, secretly criticizing Emolga's rude behavior, but Emolga suddenly turned around and ran back.
"Yes, yes."
Emolga quickly approached Bruce, placed the energy cube on the ground, stretched out its short arms, and tugged at Bruce's pant leg, looking up at him with wide eyes.
"What's the matter?" Bruce squatted down and looked at Emolga.
—"Yes, yes!"— Emolga said in a series of words while pointing in the direction it had just run.
It's a shame that high school doesn't teach Pokemon language knowledge, and Bruce only has partial understanding of what Emolga means.
Fortunately, movements and gestures often convey meaning, Bruce thought and asked aloud, "Are you saying you want me to go there with you?"
Upon hearing Bruce's words, Emolga was overjoyed and nodded like a chick pecking rice.
Immediately afterward, Emolga tugged at Bruce's pant leg again, seemingly in a hurry.
"Alright, alright, take me there," Bruce smiled helplessly and nodded in response.
Unexpectedly, this little one was heading towards the Green River Forest this time, which would indefinitely delay Combusken's leveling progress.
Fortunately, the Houndoom had just gained a lot of experience points.
"Well, encountering Pokemon itself is a wonderful journey, and many times it's more interesting than boring leveling up," Bruce thought to himself.
Leveling up is important, but what's more important is enjoying every beautiful moment in this real Pokemon world and appreciating every encounter.
Seeing that Bruce nodded in agreement, Emolga turned again, stepped forward, and ran in the direction it had pointed.
Bruce and Combusken followed closely, trotting the entire way.
Along the fast-flowing Green River, Emolga guided Bruce and the Trainer upstream, and they encountered several Pokemon along the way, all of which looked at them curiously.
About ten minutes later, Emolga finally stopped panting and stood in front of a bush.
Thanks to consistent exercise recently, Bruce was only lightly panting. He looked around and observed the surroundings.
"Near the water source, downwind, with a wide view, it's suitable for camping," Bruce thought to himself.
It's close to the water source, but not far from the Green River, making it an excellent location.
"The book once said that if you camp by a water source, you will be visited by countless Pokemon who come to drink at night."
What is learned in books is always superficial, and one of the important purposes of this trip is to turn the theoretical knowledge learned from books into practical actions.
"Yes, yes."
At that moment, Emolga placed the two energy cubes on the ground and reached out to push aside the bush in front of it.
When the bushes parted, a small Pokemon with a white lower body appeared before Bruce.
It had blue fur that covered most of its face, and the bright red tentacles on its forehead swayed gently in the breeze.
However, this Pokemon's body was covered in scars, some of which were still oozing blood. Its breath was weak, and its condition was poor.
—"This is... Ralts!"— Bruce's pupils contracted as he saw the Pokemon in front of him and whispered.
[Pokemon: Ralts (Psychic / Fairy)]
Ability: Copycat
Rank: Champion
Level: Lv5 (Beginner)
Champion rank?!!
Although both his Combusken and Beldum were at the Champion level, they were completely different from the wild Ralts in front of him.
Combusken was obtained from the Pokemon Breeder Center, where Pokemon typically have higher ranks than those found in the wild, and Beldum was personally presented by John Bayne, which made it extremely valuable.
And the probability of encountering a wild Ralts with a Champion rank is one in ten million.
Moreover, it was still in the wild near Fairbay City, but any Pokemon with good qualifications around here had long been captured and trained by passing trainers.
Wait!
"Its fur is blue... Normally, Ralts' fur is green!" Bruce pointed out a key detail.
This Ralts is a shiny Pokemon!
"What is the probability of finding a shiny Champion-ranked Ralts in the wild?" Bruce froze.
"Am I really the Emperor or something?"
Don't change your life just by luck...
"Yes, yes."
Emolga picked up the energy cube from the ground and handed it to the weak Ralts.
"So, you wanted to bring the energy cube back to Ralts..."
"No wonder you didn't decide to leave it. I blamed you," Bruce thought to himself.
Ralts managed to lift its head and looked at Emolga through its red eyes, hidden by its blue fur.
The next second, it noticed Bruce standing behind Emolga, and its body suddenly recoiled, trembling uncontrollably.
"Ralts, Ralts..."
This series of actions involved the places where it was already wounded, and the pain hit like a tide, causing it to groan in agony.
"Yeeeeessssssss?"
Seeing Ralts' painful appearance, Emolga felt helpless for a moment and stood there, not understanding.
"The little one is hurt," Bruce's voice sounded calmly.
"It needs treatment as soon as possible, or it won't be able to eat anything," Bruce said.
—"Yes,"— Emolga nodded quickly as if it understood something.
Then, Bruce took the first-aid kit from his backpack and stepped closer to Ralts.
"Don't be afraid, little one. I have no bad intentions towards you," Bruce said softly.
"Ralts Ralts..."
After hearing Bruce's words, Ralts blinked, and the red horns on its head glowed faintly.
Seeing this, Bruce remembered the information about Ralts.
Ralts can sense the emotions of humans and Pokemon with the red horns on its head, and can distinguish between goodwill and hostility.
If it detects hostility, it will hide in the darkness and won't be found.
"Ralts..."
Suddenly, a warm current flowed through several parts of Ralts' body, and its body gradually began to warm up.
Ralts felt the kindness emanating from Bruce and softly called out, no longer hiding.
Seeing this, Bruce extended his hand, carefully lifted Ralts, and placed it on the ground beside him.
Then, he took out the first-aid tools from the kit, along with the healing spray, and began treating Ralts.
"A serious injury..."
Bruce frowned as he carefully examined Ralts' wounds and muttered softly.
This wasn't an injury caused by being defeated in battle, but a serious injury that could be life-threatening if it got worse!
"Fortunately, the first-aid kit is well stocked," Bruce said, relieved.
Bruce had already mastered the necessary first-aid skills before heading out into the field, so he didn't panic and began treating Ralts step by step.
About ten minutes later, Bruce wiped the fine sweat from his forehead and let out a deep sigh.
"Yes, yes."
Seeing that Bruce stopped moving, Emolga, who had been standing beside him, immediately shouted.
Bruce chuckled and said, "Don't worry, your little buddy is fine and will fully recover after some rest."
"Ralts Ralts."
Ralts lay in Bruce's arms, softly calling out, the spirit in its face much better than before.
"Yesssssss!"
Seeing this, Emolga showed a bright smile and danced.
"Alright, although you're fine for now, you need to rest well today. I'll spray some healing spray tonight, and you'll be up and about tomorrow morning," Bruce smiled.
"Hello!"
Ralts nodded, its eyes shining with the color of its hair.
"On the contrary, I'm quite curious about your injury... it's so serious." Bruce squinted his eyes and murmured softly.
Ralts seemed to want to answer this question, but Bruce wasn't proficient in Pokemon language, and there was no Meowth to translate, so he placed Ralts on the ground, stood up, and said, "Combusken, stay here and watch over them both. I'm going to camp by their side."
—"Charlo,"— Combusken nodded emphatically.
When Bruce walked away to start setting up camp, Emolga approached Ralts and began telling the story of its encounter with Bruce.
It continued gesturing with its short hands while also making fighting poses.
"Ralts Ralts~"
After silently listening to Emolga's narration, Ralts' eyes filled with a strange glow.
Bruce set up the tent under a tall tree nearby, then brought Ralts inside and Emolga followed.
"You two, little ones, stay here and don't run off," Bruce said.
"Yessssss!"
"Ralts~"
Seeing the two little
ones nodding in agreement, Bruce took out a bunch of things from his backpack and began preparing dinner.
This was the first dinner in the wild, so naturally, it had to be well prepared.
At the same time, not far from where Bruce camped, in front of a cave...
"This place isn't bad," Thomas said, standing in front of the cave, looking out over the vast forest below and smiling.
"Yes," Oliver nodded.
They had found this cave with difficulty. The front was a cliff, the back was a forest, and the left and right sides were entrances and exits. It was very secure.
