Pokémon: Day Bringer

Chapter 56: Team Rocket Part 2

In Azalea Town, Bugsy watched as a group of unfamiliar Pokémon, their eyes glowing a menacing red, charged towards him. The sheer power and hostility of the attack made his heart race. He quickly called out his Pokémon, but he couldn't shake the unsettling feeling that something deeper was at play.

Bugsy backed into his Gym, securing the doors behind him. He rushed to the control panel, pressed the emergency button, and activated the microphone system. His voice crackled over the speakers, urgent and desperate. "I don't know who's listening, but we need help! I'm Bugsy, the Johto Bug-type Gym Leader, and Azalea Town is under attack! Not just by Team Rocket... there are other Pokémon involved—Pokémon with red eyes. It's happening all over Johto! We need reinforcements—please, come as soon as possible!"

Meanwhile, in Sinnoh, Cynthia—Sinnoh's Champion—was in her Elite Four room, a determined look on her face as she read the transmission from Bugsy. Her eyes narrowed as she called forth her trusty Garchomp.

"Thirty minutes," she muttered to herself, preparing for the long flight. "Can they hold on that long?"

Without another word, she mounted Garchomp, and the two of them soared into the sky. The wind whipped around them, and Cynthia's thoughts raced. The attack was much bigger than she had expected, and Bugsy's call for help had made it clear: the situation was critical. The entire Johto region was under siege, and she would do whatever it took to help.

Back in the Hoenn region, two trainers prepared for their own departure. As a Charizard landed with a thundering roar, Blue petted the fire-breathing dragon before turning to her companion, Green.

"You're a fast flyer, Charizard," Blue said with a grin, as he mounted the Pokémon's back, "Let's go, Green. We need to clear this city first."

Green, ever calm and collected, met Blue's gaze. "Where's Red?"

Blue smirked. "He's with Lance, holding things down for now. We'll catch up after we help here. Let's move."

The two trainers leapt into action. They knew that Johto needed every hand it could get. Morty, the Ghost-type Gym Leader, was already in the fray, fending off a group of grunts near the town center.

Green, unfazed by the chaos, called out Blastoise, ready to lend his power. "Blastoise, Hydro Pump, let's take them down!"

With a deafening roar, Blastoise released a torrent of water, knocking back several of the Team Rocket grunts who had been attacking. The sheer force of the water sent them tumbling backward, allowing Blue and Green to press forward into the heart of the town.

As the duo made their way through the town, they noticed more strange Pokémon with red eyes attacking innocent civilians and Pokémon alike. It wasn't just the usual grunts—something far darker was at play. Bugsy's earlier transmission echoed in Blue's mind. Team Rocket was clearly not working alone.

"Blue," Green called, keeping her eyes on the battlefield. "What do you think is really going on here?"

Blue shook her head. "I don't know, but we'll figure it out when we clear this city. Right now, let's focus on the battle."

They fought their way through the town, Blue's Charizard blasting through enemy lines with powerful Flamethrowers, and Green's Blastoise knocking out grunts left and right. As they took down more of the attackers, it became clear: this wasn't just an attack on Johto—it was a coordinated invasion, one that would have lasting consequences if they didn't stop it.

Meanwhile, in Ecruteak City, Morty's eyes narrowed as he sensed something was amiss. The Rocket grunts he'd been battling didn't seem like their usual selves, their movements more erratic, more dangerous. With a final Ghost-type move, Morty finished off the remaining grunts near him, before turning his attention to the larger crisis at hand.

"Help is on the way," Morty said to himself, summoning his Pokémon to join him in the fight. "We'll hold out as long as we can. This isn't over yet."

The situation in Johto was growing more dire by the minute, but with champions like Cynthia, Blue, and Green heading toward the battle, there was hope. The true fight for Johto's future was just beginning, and it would take every ally they could gather to face the storm that was approaching.

Morty then looked at Blue and Green. ,

"thank you for the help Blue Oke and Miss green".

Blue smirked as he looked at Morty. "Hey Johto doesn't get attack with our Kanto getting involved, the others of Kanto are here as well, everyone is split up".

Green then looked at Morty, her eyes meet his. "Not to mention, we have keeping an eye on team rocket in Johto".

Morty then looked at them as he spoke. "So about the Pokémon with Red eyes".

Blue spoke as he sighed. "That is the problem, we don't know what that is about, our last information was on Team Rocket was sometype of Copying Pokémon DNA".

Morty frowned, his expression growing more serious as he processed Blue's words. "Copying Pokémon DNA? That's concerning... If they're using that kind of technology, they could be creating these red-eyed Pokémon for a specific purpose—something much worse than just ordinary grunts."

Green nodded, her eyes scanning the horizon as she took in the full scope of the situation. "We need to figure out what Team Rocket is doing and how to stop it. These red-eyed Pokémon are no ordinary grunts; they have a kind of focus and power that I've never seen before."

Blue grinned, adjusting his stance. "We'll handle it. The sooner we stop whatever Team Rocket's trying to do, the better. I just hope they haven't spread this thing too far."

Morty looked from Blue to Green, then back to the town center. "The sooner we stop them, the better. We've already seen what happens when their operations go unchecked. The town's under attack, and we can't let them get their hands on anything else."

He paused for a moment, considering their next steps. "I've sent word to the others. If this really is some kind of experiment with copying Pokémon DNA, we may need more than just brute strength to take them down."

Blue's smirk faded into a serious expression. "We'll need to keep our eyes open, then. If they're manipulating Pokémon on that level, they might be pulling some dangerous strings behind the scenes."

Green's voice cut through the tension. "We should head for Goldenrod City next. That's where the heart of this problem is, and we'll need to join forces with whoever is still standing. If this is a coordinated effort, every Gym Leader in Johto could be at risk."

Morty nodded in agreement. "I'll stay here and secure the town. You two get to Goldenrod and find out what's really going on. If anything else comes up, I'll make sure we're ready to respond."

With a final exchange of nods, Green mounted Blastoise, and Blue hopped back onto Charizard. The two trainers flew off toward Goldenrod City, determination in their eyes. As they soared through the skies, they couldn't help but feel that the situation was more dire than they had first believed.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Rocket's plans were already in motion. What had started as a simple raid had now become something far more dangerous—and with the introduction of the mysterious red-eyed Pokémon, the stakes were higher than ever before.

In that of Violet City, Falkner was handling the grunts as then moved out for the way, as flamethrowers went through someone then as he saw it was done by Ash and Hisuian Typhlosion

Brock had sent your his Onix and Crobat, and Misty has her Pokémon.

Ash just sighed and spoke. "I just wanted this to be a relaxing day"..

Then a voice came wich they reconsider. "Will sorry kid, but things never go as planned".

They moved our of the way as multiple Thunderbolt destroyed the grunts as they said who it was

a large, muscular man with short, spiky blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a military-style button-up shirt, black pants, and black boots. Next to him was his Raichu

Ash just looked at LT Surge. "Surge".

Surge just looked at Ash as she sent out his Pokémon. "Long time no see kid, Kanto is here to help"

"You could bit less flashy".

The ground heard another voice, and plant and wild life destroyed a few of the groudn and even dragging the into the ground where they heard scream, yeah it was better not to think what happened to them.

Then they saw who the Voice belong to, as it is a slender young woman with short hair, pale skin, and dark green eyes. She wears a conservative, elegant kimono, a hairband, and traditional Japanese sandals and socks.

Ash then spoke seeing the Grass type Gym leader. "Erika".

She waved back at Ash, Brock and Misty. "We are here to help, I say you guys go to Goldenrod seeing that it is the center of Johto and most attack will be focused there"?

Surge then spoked looking at Erika. "Why didn't you and you Pokémon go with the Kid, I think I and Falkner can handle this"

Erika smiled softly, her eyes focused on the battle ahead. "I prefer to let my Pokémon handle things in their own way, Surge. My Grass-types are better suited to dealing with these kinds of attacks. Plus, you know how I feel about using brute force," she said, her voice calm and composed despite the chaos around her. "But you're right. I think it's time for Ash and the others to focus on the bigger threat."

Brock nodded, his Onix and Crobat still taking out Rocket Grunts as he turned to Ash. "Erika's right. Goldenrod City seems like the epicenter of all this. We need to make sure it stays protected, and the Gym Leaders should be at the forefront of stopping Team Rocket's attack."

Misty, with Starmie at her side, adjusted her stance. "You know how bad things are when even Erika has to step in. We're dealing with something big. We should head to Goldenrod and join the others. Let these guys handle their area."

Ash, ever determined, nodded, a look of resolve crossing his face. "Right. We can't waste any time. If Team Rocket is really behind all this, we need to stop them before they get any stronger."

Surge crossed his arms, his Raichu standing proudly beside him. "Take care, kid. If anyone can stop this mess, it's you. But don't think I'm letting you off the hook—next time, you and I are going to have a proper battle."

Ash smirked, giving Surge a thumbs-up. "You've got it, Surge. We'll catch up later."

As Ash, Brock, and Misty made their way toward Goldenrod City, the others continued to hold the line. Erika's Grass-types created barriers of vines, incapacitating Rocket grunts one by one. Falkner and Lt. Surge kept up their attacks, providing cover for the others. Erika's calm demeanor and the strategic minds of the Kanto Gym Leaders were helping to turn the tide, but it was clear that the battle was far from over.

With the trainers from Kanto now focused on holding their ground, the fate of Goldenrod City and Johto as a whole rested in the hands of Ash and his friends. As they moved toward the city, their minds were set on what lay ahead—a showdown with Team Rocket that would determine the future of the region.

Falkner landed next to them, sending out more of his Pokémon. "Thank you protecting my city".

Surge just laughed as he spoke. "Kid you don't attack Johto with out Kanto joining the War".

Erika looked at Surge. "Don't make it sound like a War is going on Surge".

Falkner chuckled lightly at Surge's comment, but his expression quickly turned serious. "I appreciate it, Surge. It's just... this feels bigger than a simple fight. I've never seen Team Rocket act like this before."

Erika nodded, her calm demeanor not betraying the worry in her voice. "He's right. It's not just about Gym Leaders or their Pokémon anymore. It's about the entire region. If they're really experimenting with Pokémon in this way, things could get out of hand fast."

Surge folded his arms, glancing around at the chaotic scene. "Well, we didn't come here to wait around and see. We're going to make sure that Johto stays in one piece—no matter what Team Rocket throws at us."

Brock, still with Misty and Ash, joined in. "But we all need to be strategic. We don't know how far this goes. With all the gym leaders in Johto under attack, we should split up and reinforce the most critical areas. Goldenrod City will be a key target. Once we secure it, we can deal with the rest."

Ash, who had been silently taking in the information, spoke up with determination in his voice. "Let's do it! We've all trained for this. Let's show Team Rocket that they picked the wrong region to mess with."

Erika smiled at Ash's energy. "That's the spirit. But let's make sure to be prepared. This could be more than just Team Rocket—it could be a bigger threat."

Falkner nodded, his Pokémon flanking him as they moved. "Agreed. Let's head out. And make sure to keep an eye on the skies. If anything happens, we'll need to be ready for anything."

With that, the trainers set their sights on Goldenrod City, with the Kanto Gym Leaders leading the way. The battle for Johto had just begun, but Ash and his friends knew they were ready for whatever Team Rocket had planned. They had a region to protect—and they wouldn't back down.
