Pokémon: Day Bringer

Chapter 65: Johto League part 5

"The match will start in 30 minutes".

Announcers then said, as then 30 minutes passed, as then in crowed, 3 girls ran in hoping they didn't miss it.

Ash then looked up, his face tunred red, as he saw Whitney, Rose and Clair as they wearing Cheer leader outfits, if that was not enough Suicune in her human from was still wearing her made outfit but was holding too Cheerleader Pom-Poms.

Violet laughed seeing the girls, and so did the other 6 sister of Haru. "Oh my Arceus you three actually wearing the outfit".

Clair spoke embrace. "Listen I lost the bet to the 7 of your's Brother,

Whitney then spoke. "Will be and Rose wearing our willingly, either way the 3 of us are here to cheer on our boyfriend".

Misty them looked at Suicune. "And what about her".

Suicune gave Misty as smile as she spoke. "I am just here to cheer master on"

Ash in his mind then though. "This brings me flash back to Gary cheer leader squad back in Kanto"

They looked at the battle field, as it was a water battle Field, as the referee them spoke. "This will be a 3 on 3 battle, both trainers are allows to change there Pokemon when they want, this Match is between, Richie from Kanto and Ethan from Johto Goldenrod City".

Haru just sighed as he spoke to him self. "They called me by my first name what ever".

Haru them looked at his girls and gave them a wink, as then he sent out his Pokèmon as it was his Gyarados, and just like Ash Tyranitar the crowed screamed in both Excited and fear seeing the Giant shiny Gyarados.

The crowd gasped as Haru's Shiny Gyarados emerged from its Pokéball, the water monster's long, serpentine body coiling in the air before crashing down into the water with a mighty splash. The shimmering Red scales glistened under the arena lights, causing a mixture of awe and intimidation from the onlookers.

As Gyarados roared, the ground trembled slightly from the sheer power of the Pokémon's presence. It looked like a force of nature ready to unleash its wrath. The sight of the colossal, menacing creature caused many to glance nervously at one another.

"That Gyarados..." one of the commentators stammered. "It's the Shiny version! Unbelievable! This will be a battle to remember!"

Richie, not backing down, took a deep breath. He stepped forward with confidence, sending out his own Pokémon. "Go, Pidgeot!" Richie called, tossing the Pokéball into the air.

In a flash of light, Pidgeot appeared, its majestic wings flapping strongly, creating gusts of wind that ruffled the hair of the crowd. The elegant bird Pokémon gave a mighty cry as it soared into the air, ready for battle.

Haru raised an eyebrow at the choice of Pokémon. "Pidgeot, huh? This is going to be interesting."

The referee raised a hand, signaling the start of the match. "The battle between Haru and Richie will now begin! Trainers, make your moves!"

Richie wasted no time. "Pidgeot, use Aerial Ace!" he shouted.

Pidgeot flew into action, wings slicing through the air as it darted toward Gyarados with incredible speed. The attack was quick, but Haru had seen it coming.

"Gyarados, Dragon Tail!" Haru commanded, a confident smirk on his face.

Gyarados swung its massive tail with terrifying force, meeting Pidgeot head-on. The bird Pokémon tried to dodge, but the tail collided with Pidgeot, sending it spiraling through the air before crashing into the water below with a splash.

"Pidgeot!" Richie called out in concern, but Pidgeot quickly flapped its wings to regain control, rising from the water with determination in its eyes.

"Nice try," Haru said, giving a nod to Richie. "But you'll have to do better than that."

Richie gritted his teeth, realizing the challenge he was facing. "Alright, Pidgeot, use Air Slash!"

The bird Pokémon's wings sliced through the air, sending a flurry of sharp, wind-based projectiles toward Gyarados.

"Hydro Pump, now!" Haru shouted.

Gyarados opened its mouth wide, unleashing a powerful stream of water that collided with the Air Slash, countering it with force. The two attacks clashed in mid-air, creating a massive burst of steam as the water and wind collided. The arena was filled with the mist, momentarily obscuring the view.

The crowd leaned forward in anticipation, waiting for the mist to clear. As it dissipated, Pidgeot was seen struggling to stay in the air, while Gyarados appeared unscathed, a confident glint in its eyes.

"Your turn, Richie," Haru said, crossing his arms. "What's your next move?"

Richie clenched his fists, determined not to give up. "Pidgeot, try using Steel Wing!"

Pidgeot's wings began to glow with metallic energy, and it charged forward once more. Haru wasn't concerned. "Gyarados, use Ice Fang!"

As Pidgeot came in for another strike, Gyarados opened its massive jaws, freezing the air around them as it lunged forward. With an icy bite, Gyarados caught Pidgeot mid-flight, the Steel Wing attack unable to break through the icy onslaught. The sharp teeth sank into Pidgeot's wing, sending the bird crashing to the ground.

"Pidgeot!" Richie shouted, but it was clear his Pokémon was no longer able to continue.

The referee raised a flag, signaling the end of the first round. "Pidgeot is unable to battle. Haru wins the first round!"

The crowd roared in excitement and surprise. Haru had easily dispatched Richie's first Pokémon, and now it was up to Richie to choose his next fighter.

Richie, clearly frustrated but undeterred, nodded at his fallen Pidgeot. "You did your best. Thanks, Pidgeot. Now, let's keep going. Go, Electivire!"

With a flash of light, Electivire appeared, its electric fur crackling with energy. The Electric-type Pokémon glared at Gyarados, its eyes filled with determination.

Haru chuckled to himself. "This will be a fun match." He looked at his Gyarados, then back at Richie. "Alright, Gyarados, let's finish this."

The tension in the air was thick as the two Pokémon prepared for their next round. The battle between Haru and Richie was far from over, and the crowd knew they were about to witness a showdown like no other.

Haru them looked at Gyarados. "Gyarados moveset change, First set".

As then everyone can hear a metaphorical click, as then in the stands Whitney, Clair, Rose and Suicune cheered louder, with Clair not so loud.

Haru then looked at Sea serpent. "Gyarados use Dragon Dance, Follow by a waterfall and Earthquake and then use Taunt".

Richie's Electivire immediately tensed up as Gyarados began to move with a graceful yet menacing aura. The massive sea serpent's body shimmered, swirling with energy as it executed Dragon Dance, boosting its attack and speed. The water beneath Gyarados churned violently, reflecting the newfound power radiating from the Pokémon.

The crowd gasped in awe. Even the announcers were at a loss for words. "This strategy… it's something else! Haru's Gyarados is setting up for a devastating combo!"

Richie gritted his teeth. "Electivire, we can't let them take the upper hand! Use Thunderbolt, now!"

Electivire raised its arms, electricity surging through its body before releasing a crackling bolt of lightning straight at Gyarados.

Haru smirked. "Gyarados, Waterfall!"

The serpent dove into the water with blinding speed, the electric attack barely missing as Gyarados surged upward, the waterfall propelling it high into the air. The sheer force of the attack sent a wave of water crashing toward Electivire, forcing it to brace itself.

"Now, Earthquake!" Haru commanded.

Still in midair, Gyarados slammed its tail down into the arena floor as it landed. The impact sent shockwaves through the battlefield, causing the water to ripple violently. The ground beneath Electivire cracked and erupted, the force of the move sending it stumbling back.

Richie was taken aback but kept his focus. "Electivire, hang in there! Use Protect!"

Electivire barely managed to shield itself, a green barrier appearing just in time to absorb some of the Earthquake's force. However, it was clear that the Electric-type was already struggling.

Haru's voice rang out again, calm but commanding. "Taunt, Gyarados!"

Gyarados locked eyes with Electivire, its expression mocking and aggressive. The taunt hit its mark, riling up Electivire and ensuring it could only use offensive moves from now on.

Richie clenched his fists. "Electivire, don't let them get to you! Use Wild Charge!"

Electivire roared, surrounding itself with a crackling aura of electricity as it charged at Gyarados, sparks flying with each step.

Haru simply smiled. "Good. Gyarados, Counter it with Waterfall!"

As Electivire closed in, Gyarados went into the water and came back up, his body glowing with a torrent of water, directly into the incoming Wild Charge. The clash sent water and electricity exploding outward, drenching the battlefield and creating a dazzling display of power.

When the dust and mist settled, both Pokémon were still standing, but Electivire was clearly worse for wear. Its movements were sluggish, its energy almost depleted. Gyarados, on the other hand, looked winded but still ready to fight.

Richie gritted his teeth. "We're not done yet! Electivire, give it everything you've got with Thunder!"

Electivire roared as it summoned a massive bolt of lightning, aiming it directly at Gyarados.

Haru, unfazed, called out his final command. "Gyarados, Earthquake!"

The Shiny Gyarados moved it's body as then it shaked the as the Earth type move hir. The two attacks collided midair, creating a deafening explosion that shook the entire stadium. The shockwave from the impact sent both trainers shielding their faces.

When the smoke cleared, Electivire was on the ground, unable to move. Gyarados, though panting heavily, stood victorious, roaring triumphantly.

The referee raised his flag. "Electivire is unable to battle! Gyarados wins! Haru takes the lead once again!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, with Haru's cheer squad—Whitney, Rose, Clair, and Suicune—being the loudest of them all. Even Clair, despite her earlier reluctance, couldn't help but smile.

Richie returned Electivire to its Pokéball, taking a deep breath to calm himself. "Thanks, buddy. You did great." He looked at Haru with a determined gaze. "This battle isn't over yet."

Haru smirked, crossing his arms. "Bring it on, Richie. Let's see what you've got next."

Richie them looked at his Pokeball. "Your my last hope buddy, just hope you".

As then he sent out his Pokèmon as then Pokèmon came out it went through the air as no one could see what the Pokemon it was, as it landed next to Richie, as Haru took a step back rhe memory's of his past life plays as he saw the Pokemon as standing in Richie corner a Pokemon even Richie was not sure he wanted to use was there, there infornt everyone as only a few people recognised this Pokemon it was a Hydreigon.

In the VIP room Red, Blue, Green got up in shock, in the Johto elite four room, Lance and other memeber eyss wident. In trb stands Clair was taken back as she spoke what was one almost everyone mind. "Is he nuts".

Meanwhile Haru quickly changed Gyarados to Scizor and told to use sword dance, then a bullet Punch, then a X-Scissors and Areal Ace combo, in he said in fright

Ash was confused as he pulled out his Pokedex. "I don't get everyone is so scared".

The Pokédex in Ash's hand whirred to life, displaying Hydreigon's data:

"Hydreigon, the Brutal Pokémon. This Dark and Dragon-type Pokémon has three heads. The main head controls the body, while the two smaller heads act on their own and can destroy anything they bite. It is extremely aggressive and known to wreak havoc wherever it goes."

Ash's eyes widened as he read further. "Wait, what?! This thing destroys everything in its path?!"

The tension in the arena was palpable. Haru's Scizor darted around the field, executing the commands flawlessly, but the Hydreigon stood unmoving, its six piercing red eyes locked onto Scizor. The air felt heavier as its ominous aura filled the battlefield.

Richie hesitated, gripping his Pokéball tightly. "Hydreigon, I know this isn't easy for you, but let's give it our best. Use Dragon Pulse!"

Hydreigon roared, releasing a devastating burst of draconic energy. The beam tore through the air, and Scizor narrowly dodged, its movements a blur thanks to the Sword Dance speed boost.

Haru shouted, "Scizor, counter with Bullet Punch!"

Scizor zipped forward, its metallic claws glowing with energy. It landed a direct hit on Hydreigon's side, but the Brutal Pokémon barely flinched.

Richie smirked nervously. "Hydreigon, Crunch!"

One of Hydreigon's side heads snapped forward, its jaws glowing with dark energy. Scizor tried to pull back, but the head clamped down on its arm, sending a shockwave through the stadium. Scizor winced in pain, struggling to break free.

Haru clenched his fists. "Scizor, use X-Scissor on the main head!"

Despite its trapped arm, Scizor managed to muster the strength to slash at Hydreigon's central head with glowing green blades. The attack struck true, forcing Hydreigon to release its grip and stagger back slightly.

The crowd was in awe.

In the VIP box, Red muttered, "Richie's Hydreigon… it's not just powerful. It's battle-hardened. How did he even tame that thing?"

Lance, watching from the Elite Four room, shook his head. "Taming a Hydreigon isn't just difficult; it's nearly impossible. They're naturally uncontrollable."

Clair, still stunned, added, "And he's using it in a tournament setting? He must be either incredibly confident… or desperate."

Back on the battlefield, Haru realized the danger. "Scizor, keep your distance! Use Aerial Ace!"

Scizor launched into the air, zigzagging with incredible speed, and dove toward Hydreigon.

Richie shouted, "Hydreigon, Dragon Tail!"

The Brutal Pokémon's tail glowed with an eerie light as it spun, colliding with Scizor mid-air and sending it crashing to the ground.

Haru gritted his teeth. "Scizor, hang in there!"

The referee raised his flag. "Scizor is unable to battle!"

Haru returned Scizor to its Pokéball, his hand trembling slightly. He glanced at Hydreigon and muttered, "This thing… it's on a whole other level."

Richie, despite his determined expression, looked conflicted. "I didn't want to use you, but I had no choice. Let's end this quickly."

Haru smirked, trying to regain his composure. "You think I'm giving up that easily? Fine. Let's see how you handle this." He tossed out his next Pokéball, and a familiar, thunderous roar echoed through the arena.

The Shiny Gyarados was back, glaring at Hydreigon with unrelenting determination.

The crowd erupted into cheers as Haru commanded, "Gyarados, Ice Fang!"

The battle was far from over, but one thing was clear: this clash would be talked about for years.

Ash looked at Clair as he spoke. "Can someone explain to me why that Pokèmon is so scary".

Misty looked at Ash as she spoke. "Don't look at me, I have never seen one in my life".

Clair then spoke looking at Ash. "It is because amongst Dragon type Pokemon, a Hydreigon is considered one of the Apex next to that of Garchomp".

Ash blinked in confusion. "Apex? Like the strongest of the strong?"

Clair nodded. "Exactly. Hydreigon isn't just any Dragon-type. It's a pseudo-legendary, and its sheer power and aggression put it on par with the likes of Garchomp, Salamence, and Dragonite. But what makes it particularly terrifying is its temperament."

Misty tilted her head. "Temperament? You mean it's just really angry all the time?"

Clair sighed. "It's more than that. Hydreigon is naturally destructive. It attacks anything that moves, not because it's mean, but because it's in its nature to dominate and destroy. Taming one takes an incredible amount of skill, patience, and courage. Most trainers wouldn't even attempt it."

Ash scratched his head. "But Richie doesn't seem like the type to handle a Pokémon like that. He's more… you know, cheerful and easygoing."

Clair narrowed her eyes as she watched Hydreigon on the battlefield. "That's what makes this even more surprising. For someone like Richie to have a Hydreigon… it means he either went through something extreme to train it, or he's hiding a lot more about himself than we realize."

Whitney chimed in with a smirk. "And don't forget, Hydreigon isn't just scary because of its temperament. Its typing—Dark and Dragon—makes it resistant to so many attacks, and it hits like a truck. Pair that with its natural bulk and speed, and you've got a Pokémon that can dominate most opponents."

Ash looked back at the battlefield, where Haru's Gyarados was staring down Richie's Hydreigon. The tension in the air was thick.

Ash muttered, "I guess I'd better hope I never run into one of those in a battle…"

Misty crossed her arms. "Knowing your luck, you probably will. And when you do, you'd better hope Pikachu can handle it."

Ash laughed nervously. "Yeah… let's hope."

Back on the battlefield, Haru clenched his fists. "Gyarados, stay focused. Use Ice Fang again and follow it with Dragon Dance!"

Richie didn't flinch. "Hydreigon, counter with Fire Blast!"

As the battle raged on, the crowd couldn't take their eyes off the clash between Haru's strategic brilliance and Richie's mysterious powerhouse. The match was just getting started, and it promised to be unforgettable.
