Chapter 90: Arcanine
Haru then stopped the car again, as the Arcanine had stopped him, as Haru left the car.
Haru looked at reb wild Pokémon. "Hey buddy, we don't come here for anything".
Arcanine then walked up too Haru, it growl's a bit, almost saying don't you remember me, as the rest do the pack arrived sround the trio, Haru then looked at the Scarf on the Arcanine, as then he saw on the blue scarf was a Simble of the Harmonia family, and then a E simble there as well, his breath was caught as he looked at the Arcanine.
Haru looked at him as he spoke. "No it can't be, are you".
As then Staraptor, Scizor and Hisuian Zoroark came out of there Pokéball, as they always recognise the Pokémon as well.
Rose looked at Haru, as she came out of the car. "Haru don't tell him, that this Arcanine is"
Haru finished her word's. "One my original Pokémon from my old team that I released after lost and became depressed 6 years ago yeah".
Rose looked at him as he spoke. "Wait are you sure".
Haru pointed at the Scarf. "I gave him that Scarf my self, I am more then sure".
Rose's expression softened as she processed the revelation. She could see the mixed emotions on Haru's face—relief, nostalgia, and a hint of sorrow. She walked closer to the Arcanine, who was still eyeing Haru with that familiar gaze, his growl softening into something almost like a welcoming.
Suicune, observing the scene with calm eyes, spoke up. "It seems like this Pokémon recognizes you, Haru. And from the looks of it, he's not angry, just... waiting."
Haru nodded slowly, a lump forming in his throat. "I never thought I'd see him again. After everything that happened... I thought I lost him for good."
The Arcanine took a few more steps toward Haru, gently nuzzling his hand, as if offering forgiveness for the past. The bond between them was undeniable, as if no time had passed at all.
"I don't understand," Rose murmured, still trying to wrap her head around what was happening. "Why would you release him if you were so close?"
Haru sighed, the weight of his past still heavy on his shoulders. "Back then, I was lost. I felt like I couldn't be the trainer he needed. I lost so much, and I thought... I thought I was holding him back. I thought that maybe, just maybe, he could find a better life with someone else. But now, seeing him here..." His voice trailed off as his hand brushed through Arcanine's fur.
"You're both different now," Suicune said softly, "You've both grown, but the bond remains. It's not the end. It's a new beginning."
Haru smiled faintly at her words, his heart warming. He hadn't realized how much he had missed the companionship of his old Pokémon until this moment.
"I don't know if I can ever make up for letting him go," Haru admitted. "But I'd like to try. If he's willing to join me again."
The Arcanine seemed to sense his sincerity and sat down in front of him, tail wagging slightly as it looked up at Haru. His eyes were full of understanding, as if saying, I'm not mad, I'm here now.
Rose placed a reassuring hand on Haru's shoulder. "If he's willing to come back, then it's meant to be."
Haru nodded and slowly pulled out a Pokéball, holding it in front of Arcanine. "If you're ready to come back, buddy... I promise things will be different this time. You won't be left behind again."
The Arcanine looked at the Pokéball, his gaze intense and thoughtful, before nudging it with his nose. There was a soft flash of light, and the Pokéball clicked shut.
Haru looked down at the ball in his hand, his chest swelling with a mix of emotions. "Welcome home, buddy."
Suicune smiled at the reunion. "It's a good thing you found each other again, Haru. Bonds like that don't fade easily."
Rose gave a light chuckle, her voice teasing. "Looks like your old team's growing again, huh? What's next, a reunion tour?"
Haru grinned, the weight in his chest lifting a little. "Maybe. But for now, let's just focus on the task at hand—finding the Delta Pokémon and getting through Saffron City."
But then Arcanine came out Haru Pokéball, as it went too Haru bag, as it pulled out a fire stone.
Haru then looked at the pack of wild Growlithe and Vulpix, as two clearly older ones came as Arcanine then put the fire stone down, Meowth then came out Haru Pokéball.
Meowth looked at Haru. "So Boss, want me to translated what they say".
Haru looked at Meowth as he spoke. "Go ahead buddy".
Meowth then spoke. "So here is what is going on, Arcanine knows that sense he is leaving the group and coming back too you, he has decided he needs a successor to led the pack, so he put the fire stone between the two of them, to see which one will pick to be the leader and evolve".
Haru's eyes widened as he watched the Growlithe and Vulpix approach the fire stone, each of them looking at it with curiosity and determination. It was clear now—Arcanine wasn't just reuniting with him; he was making a decision for the future of his pack.
Meowth continued, "So, the Fire Stone is a test. The one that is chosen will be the next leader of the pack, and then they'll evolve into an Arcanine or Ninetales."
Haru looked at the Fire Stone on the ground and then at the Growlithe and Vulpix. It was a big moment—not just for Arcanine, but for the entire pack. It was a moment of transition, where the next generation would rise to take on the mantle of leadership.
"Well, I'll be honest," Haru said, more to himself than anyone else. "I never expected to be involved in something like this again."
Suicune, sensing the weight of the situation, spoke softly. "This is more than just about battles. It's about trust, responsibility, and legacy. Arcanine wants to ensure that his lineage and pack remain strong, even if he's no longer their leader."
Haru nodded, understanding the importance of what was unfolding. "It's his way of making sure the pack stays strong. I get it."
The two Growlithe and Vulpix circled the Fire Stone, their eyes locked on it. One of the Growlithe, a slightly larger one with a more confident stance, stepped forward, its tail raised proudly. It sniffed the Fire Stone cautiously before sitting down next to it, its gaze unwavering.
The other, a more reserved Growlithe, eyed the stone nervously but took a few steps toward it as well. Both were clearly aware of the significance of the moment.
"Looks like they've both got potential," Haru said, looking closely. "But one has to be chosen."
Meowth nodded, looking at Haru. "It's up to them now, Boss. Whoever picks the Fire Stone will become the next leader. Arcanine's just making sure they're ready."
Haru turned his attention back to the scene in front of him. It was quiet for a moment, as the two Growlithe seemed to exchange glances, each contemplating their next move.
Then, with a burst of confidence, the larger Growlithe nudged the Fire Stone forward, making the decision for both of them. The Fire Stone glowed brightly, and in an instant, the Growlithe began to evolve.
Haru watched, a sense of awe filling him as the transformation occurred. The small, puppy-like Growlithe quickly grew into an Arcanine, its fur shimmering with new strength, its posture now proud and regal. The other Growlithe stepped back, seemingly accepting the decision.
"Well, looks like we have our new leader," Haru said, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Congratulations, kid."
Meowth grinned, "Seems like Arcanine's got a good successor. You've got a strong team, Boss."
Arcanine, now standing tall beside the newly evolved Arcanine, gave a satisfied growl, his tail swishing contentedly. He looked back at Haru with pride, knowing the decision had been made.
Rose, who had been quietly observing, stepped up beside Haru. "It's like watching a passing of the torch. This is... really something."
Haru nodded, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. "Yeah. It feels right."
Suicune added, "The pack is in good hands now. This Arcanine will lead them well."
With that, the newly evolved Arcanine took a few steps forward, looking at the rest of the pack. It let out a proud bark, and the pack responded with a series of excited yips and howls. It was clear that the transition had been smooth, and the pack was ready for the next chapter.
Haru looked down at the Fire Stone, still glowing faintly on the ground. He picked it up, a small smile crossing his face. "Well, looks like I've got another decision to make."
Meowth gave him a sidelong glance, "What's that, Boss?"
Haru chuckled, putting the Fire Stone away in his bag. "I think it's time to keep moving. Let's go to Saffron City. But... we'll stop by again sometime. I think Arcanine would like to visit his old pack from time to time."
The team gathered around, ready to continue the journey. But for a moment, Haru paused, looking back at the pack of Pokémon that had once been so familiar to him. The road ahead was still full of challenges, but at least now, he knew that some things would always stay the same.
They final had arrived to Saffron city, as then Haru wonder something how was Ash doing.
He parked his car, as the Trio made his way too Pokémon center as he called Ash.
After a while someone picked form the other end to was Ash, Diamond, Raikou in her human form and two other people with them.
Haru looked at Ash as he spoke. "Hey Ash how is it going buddy on Hoenn".
Ash looked at Haru as he spoke. "Will um not much, Pikachu got sick but professor Birch helped with that, I capture a Taillow, the egg you gave me hatched into a Elekid, cought two triko, and remeet Brock no delta".
Haru then stopped ash. "Wait two Triko".
Ash just sigehd as he spoke. "Yeah, two"
As he sent out two Pokémon, there was two Triko one was a normal Triko and the one ash catches in the canon, but the one Triko was different colour it was shiby, and it was not interested in Ash at all, as it walked away.
Ash looked at Haru as he continues. "Shiny Triko doesn't like me, it more like he wants to be for a different trainer".
Haru looked at the Shiny Triko feeling a kin ship. "Ok but who is the m Gril and kid with you".
The girl spoke Looking at him, as she was shocked to learn that Ash knew a champion. "Hi my name's is May".
The kid then came to screen as he spoke. "And I am here brother Max".
Haru looked at as he felt like he already won't like Max. "Will nice too meet you Guy's".

Haru observed May and Max closely. May seemed friendly enough, but Max… something about him already gave off an annoying vibe. Maybe it was the way he looked so smug, or maybe it was just his general energy. Either way, Haru had a feeling he'd have to tolerate him more than enjoy his company.
Ash, still focused on the call, continued. "So yeah, we're making our way through Hoenn, just taking things slow. Raikou's been a big help, and Diamond's been keeping things interesting."
Diamond smirked. "I do what I can."
Raikou, in her human form, simply nodded. "Ash has potential, but he still has a long way to go."
Haru chuckled. "Yeah, he's been on this journey forever, and he's still just figuring things out."
Ash groaned. "Come on, man, cut me some slack!"
Haru shook his head with a grin before turning his attention back to the Shiny Treecko. "So, what's the deal with this guy? He's not listening to you at all?"
Ash sighed. "Yeah. It's weird. I caught him fair and square, but he just… doesn't care. He listens when it comes to food, but that's about it."
Haru smirked, already having a suspicion about what was happening. "You know, sometimes a Pokémon picks their trainer, not the other way around."
Ash groaned. "Don't start with that, man. I already have enough people telling me that."
