Pokemon dungeon

Chapter 25: Eeveelutions

Kay then pulled out his Pokedex to check Eevee's updated stats.

Eevee:

Potential: Orange

Stage: Superior Steel

Moveset: Tackle, Helping Hand, Wish, Bite, Sand Attack, Dig, Quick Attack, Double Team.

The Potential hadn't gone up yet, but Kay was sure that Eevee was close to improving its potential. The next breakthrough would likely push it to a higher Potential tier.

Kay glanced over at Growlithe, who was sitting nearby. He couldn't help but chuckle as he noticed Growlithe's sparkling eyes, staring at Eevee with admiration and excitement.

"You'll get your moment too, buddy," Kay said, patting Growlithe's head.

The trio continued their journey through the dungeon, exploring every corner. As they walked further, Kay and his Pokemons encountered a Pidgey.

"Growlithe, this one is yours,".

While Growlithe prepared for battle, Kay pulled out his Pokedex to check Pidgey's stats.

However, instead of showing the stats, the Pokedex began blinking rapidly. Kay's heart skipped a beat as he realized what was happening; it was evolving to the next level!

'This is amazing,' Kay thought, thrilled at how quickly the Pokedex was progressing. It hadn't been long since it upgraded to its second level, and now it was already advancing further.

The battle itself was swift. Growlithe lunged forward with impressive speed and used Ember then Double Kick, finishing the Pidgey in mere moments. Kay praised his Pokemon, giving it a quick pat on the head.

Two more days passed in the dungeon as Eevee and Growlithe fought diligently against the likes of Meowths, Rattatas, and Pidgeys.

Their teamwork improved with every encounter, and Kay felt proud of their progress.

While they were battling a Meowth, a shimmering gate appeared nearby. Kay recognized it immediately; it signified the completion of the dungeon.

"Good job, both of you, Growlithe, back into the bag." The loyal Pokemon obediently climbed into the bag to hide, ensuring they could leave the dungeon without attracting unnecessary attention.

After exiting the gate, Kay went to the market to sell the spoils he had collected during his dungeon attack.

This time, he earned 800 Pokedollars, a marked improvement compared to his earlier attacks.

With his earnings in hand, Kay returned home. He spent the rest of the day with his family, enjoying a warm dinner and the comforting atmosphere of home.

The next morning, when Kay woke up, he immediately checked his Pokedex. It was working normally again, but something new caught his eye.

A notification popped up on the screen:

"Congratulations! Your Pokedex has reached Level Three!"

Excited, Kay began exploring the Pokedex to see what had changed after its evolution.

He spent some time navigating through the menus, hoping to find new features.

Curious, he decided to recheck Eevee's stats, just in case there were additional details:

Eevee:

Potential: Orange

Stage: Superior Steel

Moveset: Tackle (Proficient), Helping Hand (Elite), Wish (Expert), Bite (Proficient), Sand Attack (Proficient), Dig (Expert), Quick Attack (Expert), Double Team (Proficient)

Kay noticed something new, the words in parentheses next to each move. He wondered what they meant and began searching for an explanation in the Pokedex.

After pressing one of the words and pressing the help button, he found the answer.

The words indicated move mastery levels, showing how skilled a Pokemon was at using each move. The levels were ranked from highest to lowest as follows:

Modified, Mastered, Elite, Expert, Proficient, Novice.

To test the feature further, Kay decided to check Growlithe's stats:

Growlithe:

Potential: Red

Stage: Inferior Steel

Moveset: Ember (Proficient), Double Kick (Proficient), Helping Hand (Novice)

"This feature is a game-changer, now I can plan my training better, follow the results of training, and focus on improving specific moves."

Kay sat on his bed, deep in thought. He was thinking that Eevee's future evolution would define its strength and abilities.

Starting from the next breakthrough, he needed to provide Eevee with Power Stones that matched the type of its chosen evolution.

But which path should Eevee take?

To decide, Kay began thinking about the features of each possible evolution of Eevee:

Vaporeon is a Water-type Pokemon known for its high stamina and excellent resistance to fire attacks. Its body is built for both offense and defense in watery environments. Vaporeon can learn moves like Hydro Pump and Ice Beam, making it effective against Fire, Rock, and Ground types. Its ability to melt into water makes it a strategic choice for battles inside water.

Jolteon is an Electric-type Pokemon with incredible speed. It is one of the fastest Eeveelutions, allowing it to strike first in most battles. Jolteon specializes in moves like Thunderbolt and Thunder Wave, making it effective against Water and Flying types. Its quick reactions and high special attack make it a solid choice for agile battles.

Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokemon with high intelligence and special attack power. It can predict its opponent's moves, giving it an edge in battle. With moves like Psychic and Future Sight, Espeon excels at battling Poison and Fighting types. With its ability to use Teleport, it's a great choice for Kay to ensure his safety inside dungeons.

Umbreon is a Dark-type Pokemon that is a defensive powerhouse. It has high endurance and can wear down opponents with moves like Toxic and Moonlight, which allow it to heal itself. Umbreon is especially effective against Psychic and Ghost-types, making it an excellent counter against tricky opponents.

Glaceon is an Ice-type Pokemon that thrives in cold environments. Its moves like Ice Beam and Blizzard can freeze opponents and are effective against Flying, Dragon, and Grass types. While it may not be the fastest Eeveelution, its strong special attacks make it a formidable choice in icy terrains.

Leafeon is a Grass-type Pokemon with great physical attack and defense stats. Its ability to absorb sunlight allows it to recover energy quickly. Also moves like Leaf Blade and Solar Beam make it effective against Water, Rock, and Ground-types. Leafeon is also an eco-friendly companion, purifying the air around it which could help inside Poison-type dungeons.

Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokemon known for its calming nature and high special defense. With moves like Moonblast and Draining Kiss, it is highly effective against Dark, Dragon, and Fighting types. Sylveon's soothing aura can also calm opponents, giving it a unique advantage against fierce opponents.

Flareon is a Fire-type Pokemon known for its incredible physical attack power and fiery nature. Its body generates intense heat, allowing it to unleash powerful moves like Flamethrower and Fire Fang, which are highly effective against Grass, Bug, Ice, and Steel types. Flareon also has a fluffy, flame-resistant coat, giving it decent resistance to cold environments. While its speed may not be the highest among Eeveelutions, its raw power in close combat makes it a fearsome opponent.

Kay thought hard about each Eeveelution's strengths and weaknesses. Every form offered something valuable, and he knew he couldn't go wrong with any choice.

However, Kay realized that he already had Growlithe, a strong Fire-type Pokemon, so he decided to eliminate Flareon from the list. Other than that, he couldn't make a decision just yet.

"I'll leave this decision to the future, when the time comes, Eevee will let me know what it wants to become."

Kay sat at his desk and opened his laptop, eager to learn how evolution worked in this world, especially special evolutions that needed some special items or methods.

He remembered how, in the games and series, Pokemons like Eevee needed special items like Fire Stones, Water Stones, or Thunder Stones to evolve into their various forms.

Some even required unique conditions, such as specific times of day or particular locations.

However, since arriving in this world, he hadn't seen anything resembling those items or methods.
