Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 56 – Dragon Clues

"I will take note of this, Floyd-san. Inviting you here was the right decision," Kanraku said, sighing with relief and looking at Floyd with appreciation.
"Well, professor, we haven't yet confirmed everything, hahaha. But if you run into any issues, just reach out to me," Floyd responded with a chuckle, giving Kanraku's shoulder a friendly pat.
"I have a strong feeling that what you're saying is correct, Perhaps I'm overestimating you, but I don't think so, especially coming from you," Kanraku said, laughing in return.
"Perhaps you are," Floyd responded with a playful sigh.
"Well, Let's not talk about it," Kanraku shifted the topic, clicking on another file, revealing data on Squirtle and Wartortle. "This is the outcome after using your Pokéblock. Both Squirtle and Wartortle showed a clear rejuvenation in their energy levels," Kanraku said with a tone of admiration.
"And it doesn't stop with them," he continued, pulling up data on several other Pokémon. "All of them show an increase in energy when consuming your Pokéblock."
"If many people learn this method, it could certainly alleviate some of the challenges we face in feeding the beasts," Floyd commented.
"That's the next step for now, creating a blueprint for the blender, and then we can kickstart its production," Kanraku said with a nod.
The two continued discussing various berries. As Floyd detailed each one, Kanraku meticulously recorded his descriptions. Suddenly, Floyd's eyes were drawn to a specific herb. "Do you recognize this leaf?"
Kanraku examined the leaf, and he responded in question, "Yes, that's the yellow leaf. Is it special?"
"I refer to it as the King's Leaf. Consumed on its own, it's quite ordinary. However, when combined with other medicines, it enhances their effects. It can even be a primary ingredient for specific remedies," Floyd shared, thinking that this was one material he needed for waking up Dragonite Mother.
"Interesting! There's plenty of it in the Kemonohaji forests," Kanraku remarked.
"Could you specify its exact location?" Floyd inquired, curious.
"Why? Are you planning a trip? It's a treacherous place," Kanraku said, his face lined with concern as he sensed Floyd's intentions.
"I do plan to, but not immediately. I'm waiting until my Axew evolves," Floyd clarified.
"What? Is it evolving? I'd like to be there, you must tell me when that happens! I must witness it," Kanraku exclaimed, his previous energy returning.
"Only if you share the location," Floyd teased.
"You're serious about this, aren't you?" Kanraku said, pausing for a moment, his gaze deep and contemplative. "Very well. Head straight into the beast's sanctuary, and from there, to the Kemonohaji forests. You must go straight, and as you go, you'll need to climb for over 700 meters due to the rising terrain. If you decide to go, let me know. I'll have my partner assist you."
Floyd nodded, "Understood. By the way, have you come across a bud-like yellow plant with yellow-green and white leaves?"
Kanraku pondered for a moment, "Is it another healing herb?"
"Yes, it's effective for reviving the unconscious. I've named it Vivichoke," Floyd detailed.
"I'll take note of it and inform you if I spot any," Kanraku promised.
After a few minutes of discussion, Floyd left the laboratory and returned to his room. Glancing around, he noticed his Pokémon were asleep. However, he realized that Dratini and Axew were missing. With a hint of concern, Floyd headed outside.
To his surprise, he found Dratini and Axew sparring. Dratini was constantly on the offensive, trying to find an opening, while Axew played a more defensive role. Dratini, despite its best efforts, struggled due to the level difference between them. As Dratini was about to use Extreme Speed, Floyd swiftly grabbed it.
"When did I say you could train this evening?" Floyd questioned, holding the wriggling Dratini firmly.
Dratini made a small noise, clearly trying to break free, but Floyd's grip was too strong. He then turned his gaze to Axew.
"Axew, did you also forget my instructions?" Floyd's tone made it clear he wasn't pleased.
Axew hung its head, looking a bit guilty. "Axew," it murmured apologetically.
"Let's head back inside and get some rest," Floyd sighed as he suggested, he knew Dratini should be the culprit. The trio made their way back to the room. To ensure a peaceful night, Floyd gently massaged both Pokémon, using a special technique to help them sleep.
Once they were settled, Floyd checked the updates on his Game Panel. He noted the changes in the proficiency multiplier:
[Novice Proficiency: 15 Points
Intermediate Proficiency: 100 Points
Advanced Proficiency: 750 Points
Master Proficiency: 2,000 Points
Peak: 4,000 Points]
His point total had returned to its original amount, 8,390. Delving deeper into the updates, he found a new feature labeled "Dragon Clues" alongside existing ones like "Tasks", "Simulator", "Berries Locator", and "Shop". He attempted to query the system for details but received no response. The system's absence weighed on him, causing a heavy sigh.
However, his curiosity pushed him to explore the new feature. The "Dragon Clues" section had various options and prices:
[DRAGON CLUE:
Dragon Plate = 50,000 points
Dragon Crystal = 40,000 points

Legendary Pokemon:
Specific Name = 30,000 points
Random = 25,000 points

Dragon Type (Non-Legendary):
Specific Name (Pseudo Legendary) = 20,000 points
Specific Type: (Pseudo Legendary) = 15,000 points

Specific Type: (Random) = 10,000 points

Specific Name: (Dragon Egg Group – Non-Pseudo Legendary) – 10,000
Specific Type: (Dragon Egg Group – Non-Pseudo Legendary - Random) – 8,000]

Floyd scrutinized the details. He deduced that purchasing the 'Name' option would provide a clue related to a specific name of Pokémon he will mention, while the 'Type' option would offer hints based on a Pokémon's type.
He contemplated the potential types and their associations. For instance, selecting 'Ground' would relate to both Dragon and Ground Types. Yet if 'Dragon' was chosen, it would exclusively pertain to Dragon Types.
He pondered over the 'Types' and their nuances, especially the specifics surrounding the 'Random' type. He theorized about possible Pokémon and their alignments. If he bought a Types with Random and chose Ghost, it should only be Dragapult, right?
The mention of a 'Dragon Plate' intrigued him. He wondered if this item was bought, would he encounter the mythical pokemon, Arceus?
Floyd tried to discover more features, but it seemed he had explored all the recent updates because he didn't find anything new.
But what is Dragon Crystal? He doesn't know it.
With his mind buzzing from the plethora of information, he decided it was time to rest. He laid down and let sleep take over.
