Chapter 28: ch-28
Palace Gate Stadium Audience Seats—
"I'm looking forward to Charizard's next battle."
"Yeah, it's always so exciting!"
"After returning from training in Charizard Valley, its strength
skyrocketed. It even defeated Claire's Dragonair at the Smokescreen Gym in the
Johto Region."
"In the battle with Gary, it defeated three of Gary's Pokémon, including
his Trump Card, Blastoise, in a one-on-three Reverse Attribute situation."
"So cool! Charizard has completely secured its title as a master of
Reverse Attribute battles."
"When will the next battle be?"
"Every time Charizard appears, I get so hyped!"
"It's truly exhilarating!!"
There's no doubt that Charizard has captured the hearts of countless fans
with its charm.
Real World—
[Ding!]
[The system has detected the enthusiastic emotions of the audience in the
Pokémon world and issued rewards to the host.]
"Wow, 30,000 RMB! The emotions must be really intense."
Tony was pleasantly surprised when he saw the earnings.
"I didn't expect… Ash's Charizard to still be so popular in the Pokémon
world."
"With just this level of reaction, the next edited battle will
definitely ignite even greater excitement!"
"Maybe after the next match, Charizard's popularity will rival
Leon's."
Tony smiled confidently.
"The next battle… it's going to be an important milestone in Pokémon
animation, showcasing Charizard's power once again!"
Tony continued watching the video.
Pokémon World, Galar Region, Palace Gate Stadium—
On the screen—
[The first thing that appears is a pair of connected ice islands.]
[Snowflakes gently fall from the sky, and many Ice-type Pokémon can be seen
living on the islands.]
Palace Gate Stadium Champion Guest Seats—
"Hmm? Isn't this the Seafoam Islands?"
Professor Oak immediately recognized the setting.
The Seafoam Islands consist of two islands that look identical, like twins,
earning them their name.
"Seafoam Islands? I remember hearing about a legendary tale associated
with them," said Dodrio, a Kanto Region trainer.
"What kind of legend?" Diantha asked curiously.
Before Dodrio could respond, the legend unfolded on the screen.
On the screen—
[Amidst the snow and ice, a large bird Pokémon with stunning ice-blue
feathers appeared.]
[A crown of three dark blue, prismatic feathers adorned its head.]
[Its light red, gemstone-like eyes sparkled, and its cream-colored belly
contrasted beautifully with its icy plumage.]
[Its most striking feature was a long, flowing tail that swayed in the wind
like a colorful flag, longer than its entire body.]
[In the snowy expanse, the ice-blue Pokémon's graceful flight captivated the
audience.]
Palace Gate Stadium Champion Guest Seats—
"Articuno! That's Articuno!!" President Damalanchi exclaimed in
shock.
Another Legendary Pokémon had appeared—and this time, it was one from the
Kanto Region.
"Articuno?"
Trainers from other regions seemed less familiar with the Pokémon.
As always, Professor Oak took the opportunity to educate everyone:
"Articuno is an Ice-type Legendary Pokémon. It can control ice and snow
at will, even altering the weather.
"It is said to live in snowy mountains perpetually blanketed in snow
and can be seen soaring over the peaks with its flag-like tail."
"By flapping its wings, Articuno can freeze the moisture in the air,
creating snowstorms and even fierce hurricanes."
"Interestingly, Articuno is known for its gentle temperament. There are
many accounts of climbers facing avalanches and freezing conditions, only to be
rescued by Articuno."
The audience was in awe of the majestic Pokémon.
Chibana nodded in agreement before adding, "The Articuno in the Kanto
Region is quite different from the one in Galar, though."
"There's an Articuno in Galar?" Diantha asked, intrigued.
"Yes, but it's distinct from the Kanto version. Instead of ice-blue
feathers, the Galarian Articuno has lavender plumage."
Chibana explained that Galarian Articuno is a migratory Pokémon that appears
in the Crown Tundra once every few decades.
Unlike the gentle Kanto Articuno, the Galarian variant has a cold, aloof
personality. It fights with powerful psychic energy, floating elegantly in the
air without flapping its wings.
"The psychic beams it emits can freeze opponents, rendering them
immobile. It then finishes them off with psychic feathers, which can cut
through thick iron plates like paper."
"This version of Articuno isn't Ice/Flying—it's Psychic/Flying!"
The audience marveled at the contrast between the two forms of Articuno.
On the screen—
[The Articuno from the Seafoam Islands flies gracefully into a cave.]
[This cave is its home, a sanctuary amidst the ice and snow.]
[However, as it enters, Articuno notices several uninvited guests.]
[Its light red eyes narrow, and its expression sharpens.]
What happens next remains to be seen...
