Chapter 421: Chapter 638: Entering Wyvernia
Because Wyvernia had banned Drakorian planes from landing at any of their airports, and even people coming from other countries' airports would be deported as long as their documents showed they were from Drakoria.
The sudden actions of Wyvernia, without any explanation, left a large number of Drakorian citizens extremely confused and furious, feeling that Wyvernia was discriminating against Drakoria's people.
The internet was full of heated discussions.
[@Savage_Pikachu: Wyvernia's move must have been secretly orchestrated by Celestria—otherwise, how would they dare treat us like this?]
[@Caterpie→Rayquaza: Wyvernians must be out of their minds.]
[@ScytherBrandMachete: Brothers, do you guys have fighter jets over there? There are so many in the sky above my city today—I even saw J-10s! (attached image)]
[@Gengar's_FakeTeeth: I'm a fisherman, and just now, a ton of warships passed by, heading straight toward Wyvernia's direction. (attached image)]
[@Professional_Smile: Same here—tanks, rocket launchers, and tons of soldiers everywhere. (attached image)]
This only got people even more worked up.
[@GrumpyOldMan: If these pictures are real, then this is a total mobilization—land, sea, and air. Are they going to wipe out Wyvernia?]
[@Teacher_Slowking: But the reason—has anyone thought about the reason?]
The forum suddenly fell silent at this question. It seemed no one had really considered it.
Recently, Wyvernia hadn't done anything particularly outrageous—just the usual occasional provocations toward Drakoria, which everyone was already used to.
But now, it looked like Drakoria was ready to annihilate them. Had they done something truly unforgivable?
[@Rich_Tomato: I heard—just heard—that Julian might have been kidnapped by Wyvernian spies.]
Everyone who read that comment froze. At first, they thought it was a joke and were about to mock the guy. But just as they started typing, the page suddenly vanished, replaced by a message: "The website you're trying to access does not exist."
Was the forum taken down?
They hadn't even said anything sensitive though…
Wait—could it be about Julian?
Was that person's claim actually true?
The massive military movements by Drakoria's armed forces were impossible to hide from the public—after all, troop deployments had to pass through cities.
Now, the public was convinced that Drakoria was about to destroy Wyvernia, and most citizens strongly supported the idea. As for the small minority who didn't—well, that was inevitable. No matter the issue, there would always be supporters and critics.
Some clever and well-informed people could always pinpoint the most critical detail in such situations:
'What was the real cause of this impending war?'
Had Julian really been kidnapped by Wyvernian spies?
Before public opinion could fully erupt, Drakoria's authorities swiftly suppressed it.
Online, any mentions of "Julian," "King Julian," "Gym Leader Walker," or any related keywords were completely censored.
This only deepened public suspicion, with people now waiting for an official explanation.
However, Drakoria's government had not yet fully confirmed that Wyvernia was behind Julian's abduction, so the details could not be disclosed publicly.
Drakoria was waiting—waiting for either Julian to call under the kidnappers' permission or for the kidnappers to contact them using Julian's phone.
---
Meanwhile, on a passenger flight from Babath to Wyvernia, Pierce and his three companions—their faces altered by a Ditto's transformation—were among the passengers.
An hour later, the plane landed in Wyvernia's capital, Havenburg.
With their new appearances and identities, and with the help of a Drakorian spy embedded in Wyvernia, they smoothly exited the airport.
Their cover identities? The children of a prominent Wyvernian chaebol family.
The four of them boarded a black van, driven by the Drakorian spy.
"Hello, Bellsprout," Pierce greeted.
This was the spy's codename.
All undercover agents operated under aliases—their real names known only to their superiors, and many operated on single-line contact only.
So, if their handler died unexpectedly, many spies would likely remain hidden for life.
"Here's your identity files. Memorize them."
At a red light, Bellsprout turned around and handed each of the four a folder.
The files included not only their new names and identities in Wyvernia, but also background details and intel on some of the nation's top trainers.
All four had excellent memories and absorbed the information quickly.
"Still no leads on Julian?" Asher asked, still struggling to believe the abduction was real.
"Nothing concrete yet," Bellsprout shook his head. "But we did find that Stephen Park suddenly left the country. Our agents confirmed he departed via fishing boat."
Stephen was one of the names listed in the documents Bellsprout had just given them. He was the vice president of Wyvernia's Trainers Association, with strength at the peak of Pseudo-Champion level.
What kind of event would warrant someone like him secretly leaving on a fishing boat? Was he fishing for Kyogre?
"There's no one of ours on that fishing boat?" Ember asked.
"None. Stephen has always been extremely cautious. Infiltrating his inner circle is near-impossible. This time, he only took three trusted aides with him."
Bellsprout sighed. If they had an agent on that boat, they might have already confirmed whether Julian was on board.
Becoming one of Stephen's trusted was very difficult. Those three closest aides were handpicked from his own clan, raised under his wing since childhood.
The most important detail?
All of them had one thing in common: they loved eating kimchi.
"His hobby is… eating kimchi?" Rowan recalled that being mentioned in the dossier.
"Yes, and he even enjoys making kimchi himself. A batch of his homemade kimchi once sold for 5 billion Wyvernian dollars at an auction in Wyvernia."
That was equivalent to 100 million Drakorian Dollars.
Whether it was genuinely that delicious or just people sucking up to him remained a mystery.
"Where are we heading now?"
"First, to AS Corporation's headquarters."
AS Corporation was ranked fifth among Wyvernia's top ten chaebol conglomerates. It primarily dealt in energy and materials, with subsidiaries in many countries—including Drakoria.
The identities of Pierce and the other three were that of illegitimate children of one of AS Corporation's directors.
Illegitimate children were extremely common in Wyvernia—especially among the chaebols.
In Wyvernia, true power didn't lie with politicians but with the chaebols. Whether officials, lawmakers, or elite trainers—they all came from these corporate dynasties.
In Drakoria, if an ordinary person had some luck and was naturally talented, they had a good chance of becoming an excellent trainer.
But in Wyvernia? That was impossible.
Any civilian-born trainer who showed talent would be absorbed by a chaebol—turned into one of their own.
And if they refused? Well… then they had no reason to exist anymore.
To the chaebols, Wyvernia was their kingdom. Celebrities, idol groups, even female Elite trainers—they were all just playthings to the ruling class.
And since they were playthings, it wasn't unusual for them to "accidentally" leave behind a child or two.
This resulted in many high-level chaebol members having illegitimate children—though most of them were never officially recognized.
