In the second battle, when Ash saw the Samurai Boy also send out Metapod, his continued use of Harden wasn't just for play. One reason was to test if the Samurai Boy's Metapod only knew Harden.

The result was clear; just like in the anime, it only knew one move. Secondly, he wanted to get his Metapod to max out its stats. In the game, Harden was basically just a defensive move with no offensive capabilities.

However, after coming to this world, Ash also understood that in the real world, a trainer needed to utilize everything they could, because the game was static. But here, it was alive.

With equal power, the harder side naturally had more destructive force. For example, if you throw two objects of equal weight and power, one a stone and one an egg, the stone will obviously have more power.

So, while Harden seems like just a defensive move, unlike in the game, in real life, it can be used as an offensive weapon.

Ash's Metapod's body was even harder. At the same time, it wasn't just a simple collision; by using String Shot for leverage, the power of its Tackle move was enhanced.

When the two Metapods collided, it was like an egg hitting a stone. The Samurai's Metapod, of course, was no match, like an egg.

The Samurai Boy was now completely convinced by Ash's strength. With the same Pokémon, the other party used it better than himself, which was enough to show that the other party's strength was superior to his.

"So impressive, I lost! Truly worthy of being a trainer from Pallet Town."

"Especially fighting against you, it made me feel like I learned so much. I originally thought I knew a lot about Bug-type Pokémon, but after battling you, I realize I still need to hone my skills."

The Samurai Boy recalled his Metapod, came before Ash, extended his hand, and candidly admitted his defeat. He was completely convinced.

Of course, he was also convinced by the previous battle, but it wasn't as impressive as Ash's display, especially since Ash defeated him with his beloved Bug-type Pokémon.

"Thanks!" Ash simply replied, shaking his hand. He didn't say anything humble. To be honest, the Samurai Boy's strength wasn't exactly strong.

Even if he wasn't from Pallet Town, there were many trainers who could defeat him. Secondly, if someone were to really ask, he could only say, "That's right! Trainers from Pallet Town are really strong, no doubt about it."

Although it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the anime, he had understood it in the past few years in this world, from some conversations among adults.

Although Pallet Town wasn't large, it had been known as the birthplace of genius trainers for many years, continuously producing many Elite trainers over the years.

And from the lines between Delia and Professor Oak, one could also tell that both their fathers were once influential trainers, but the adults didn't say where they went or what they were doing.

So, if someone asks if trainers from Pallet Town are strong, there's no need to be humble.

"Help!!!!" Just then, a scream suddenly echoed. Several figures emerged from the jungle. The three looked simultaneously, only to see a man and a woman in uniform running out in a panic, accompanied by a Meowth.

As they ran out, they stumbled over their own feet, causing the two behind them to also trip. The Samurai Boy looked confused, while Ash and Misty looked at the two with a bit of exasperation.

"It's you two? What are you up to again?" Misty also recognized the two; they were Team Rocket, who had attacked the Pokémon Center in Viridian City that day.

"Since you asked what we're doing..."

"Then we'll mercifully tell you!" Hearing someone ask, their genetic code instantly activated.

They, who had been lying on the ground in disarray, instantly stood up and struck a pose, leaving Ash and Misty even more speechless. The Samurai Boy also looked bewildered as he listened to the two finish their lines, then...

"Meowth can actually talk!!"

"Hmph! This Meowth is different from other Meowth." Meowth said, hands on hips, proudly.

"What exactly are you guys here for?" Misty couldn't help but ask.

"We, Team Rocket, have appeared, of course, for rare Pokémon! Brat, hand over your Pikachu, and we might show you mercy and let you off!" They seemed to have forgotten their previous disarray and were now focused on Pikachu.

"You losers, where do you get your confidence from?" These two really were just like in the anime, forgetting their defeats.

"Pikapi!" Pikachu also spread its hands, shaking its head helplessly.

"Don't... don't be so smug! Last time was just because we were too careless. This time, we'll definitely teach you a good lesson, brat." Jessie felt a little exasperated after Ash exposed them.

The two simultaneously took out Poké Balls. Even the bewildered Samurai Boy understood what was happening now. Seeing the two in front of him, they clearly weren't good people.

But he couldn't help now. Having just finished a battle, his Pokémon had no combat ability left.

"Go! Arbok (Koffing)!" Still the old opponents. The two once again sent out Arbok and Koffing. Pikachu, seeing this, quickly jumped in front of Ash, taking a battle stance. "Pikapi!!!"

"Ash, the opponent is two people. I think we should retreat first!" The Samurai Boy was quite righteous. He glanced at Ash, speaking worriedly.

"I won't run. I'll show you the true strength of a Pallet Town trainer," Ash said, looking firmly ahead without turning back.

"Arbok, use Wrap!" "Koffing, use Sludge Attack!" The two simultaneously issued attack commands. Arbok charged towards Pikachu, while Koffing opened its mouth and spat out a purple sludge attack.

"Pikachu, use Quick Attack! Metapod, use String Shot!" However, Ash had no intention of fighting one-on-one. He issued commands to Pikachu and also to the Metapod that hadn't been recalled on the other side.

Pikachu, hearing the command, swiftly used Quick Attack to dodge the Sludge Attack. On the other side, Metapod used String Shot, releasing several threads that landed directly on Arbok's face. Arbok's vision was immediately obstructed.
