Chapter 442: Chapter 30: Charicific Valley
Ash wasn't well-versed in business, but after contacting Misty's sisters—the Sensational Sisters—and explaining his idea, they eagerly took on the responsibility.
Despite their shortcomings as Pokémon Trainers, their knack for business had been honed through years of managing the Cerulean Gym.
"If there are any obstacles, don't hesitate to reach out to me," Ash reassured them.
Thanks to his journey, Ash had built an impressive network of connections. Within the Pokémon League, he was acquainted with Elite Four members like Bruno and Lorelei, who could provide valuable support, even if it meant calling in a favor.
In the business world, Ash's earlier rescue of President Silver of the Silph Company meant he had a powerful ally if he ever needed assistance.
Beyond clothing, Ash began to imagine expanding his personal brand into other ventures. One promising idea was Pokémon food.
With Brock's exceptional recipes and Ash's growing reputation, the pair could create something truly impactful in the market.

After wrapping up matters with Misty's sisters, Ash, Misty, and Brock resumed their journey toward Azalea Town, their next destination.
The route between Violet City and Azalea Town was lengthy, requiring at least two weeks of travel under ideal conditions.
Four days into their journey, Brock, who was double-checking their map, made a discovery.
"Hey, the mountain range ahead is home to Charicific Valley," Brock announced.
"Charicific Valley?" Misty asked, her eyes lighting up.
"It's a well-known national park in Johto," Brock explained. "But unlike most parks, it's restricted. Ordinary visitors aren't allowed, and only invited Trainers can enter."
The valley had earned its fame due to the extraordinary number of Charizard living there, training and thriving in the wild.
Many of these Charizard were as strong as Gym-level Pokémon, with some even reaching elite and champion levels.
The strongest among them, the Guardian of the Valley, was said to protect the sanctuary from poachers and outsiders.
"That sounds amazing!" Misty said, her excitement bubbling over. "But if we need an invitation, I guess we won't get to see it…"
"We might not be able to enter the valley, but the scenery outside is still worth seeing," Brock said, reading further.
"The valley is surrounded by rivers and features a massive Charizard statue. Even from the outskirts, it's a breathtaking sight."
Hearing this, Misty's excitement returned. She quickly suggested they make a detour to visit the valley's perimeter, and Ash agreed. A unique destination like this wasn't something they wanted to miss.
---
By mid-afternoon, the trio arrived near the mountain range. However, with some distance still left to travel before reaching Charicific Valley's outskirts, Ash noticed Misty looking a bit fatigued.
"How about we rest here for the day?" Ash suggested gently.
Misty shook her head. "I'm fine. Let's keep going. I don't want to slow you two down."
Ash smiled knowingly. "I still need to do some training today. We can't skip that."
Brock caught on quickly. "Exactly. Sticking to a training schedule is important."
Realizing they were considering her well-being, Misty hesitated before nodding. "Alright. Let's rest here, then."
The trio set up camp, and Brock prepared a simple but delicious lunch. After eating, Ash and Misty began training their Pokémon.
The barren, rocky terrain near the mountains provided the perfect environment for practicing large-scale moves that couldn't usually be used in forests or towns.
Ash's Pokémon relished the opportunity to cut loose, unleashing powerful techniques as they honed their skills.

Meanwhile, deep within the Charicific Valley, a mighty roar echoed through the air. A colossal Charizard, twice the size of its peers and radiating an aura of immense power, stood tall. Its sharp eyes focused eastward, sensing something unusual.
Hearing the roar, a young woman rushed out of a nearby cabin. Her striking appearance was hard to miss—she wore a red leather jacket and shorts, her slim waist and long legs giving her a confident, athletic look.
"What's going on?" the woman asked, looking at the massive Charizard in concern.
The Charizard responded with another deep roar, pointing toward the eastern mountains with its claw.
The woman furrowed her brow. "Someone's approaching the valley?"
She mulled it over briefly before making a decision. "I'll go check it out."
The Charizard, satisfied with her response, settled back down to rest. It didn't sense any malicious intent from the approaching presence, so it trusted the young woman to handle the situation.
"Charla!" the woman called out, and a smaller Charizard, adorned with a pink bow, soared gracefully toward her.
The woman climbed onto Charla's back effortlessly. "Let's head east and see what's going on!"
With a roar, Charla flapped her wings and took to the sky, carrying the young woman toward the source of the disturbance.
---
Unaware of the commotion their presence had stirred, Ash and his friends continued their day in the serene wilderness near Charicific Valley.
Little did they know, their journey was about to take an unexpected turn, bringing them closer to the powerful and mysterious inhabitants of the legendary valley.
