Pokemon: School of Masters

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Prepare for Surprises

[Orin Murasaki Encounter Roll: 10]

---

Orin moved toward one of the large holographic maps projected on a nearby wall. It didn't take long for him to find directions—in fact there were clear signs all around to go towards Gates 10 and 11 to reach Nexus Academy.

His eyes widened as he scanned the layout. "They've got malls, theaters, even stadiums… is this the biggest airport in the world or what?" he muttered in awe.

Unfortunately, there wasn't time to explore. He stepped onto one of the autowalks heading toward the gates.

As he glided forward, he took in the sights—trainers walking alongside their Pokémon, travelers from all over the world, and even a familiar blue-haired Officer Jenny scolding a kid and a mischievous Pachirisu.

In the distance, a large Pokémon Center stood out, surrounded by flashing signs and gleaming storefronts.

Colorful shops zipped by on either side, and on upper levels, filled with people and displays.

There were also plenty of eye-catching sights of another kind—the ladies here were something else and their fashion sense was far bolder than back in Saffron.

"Yeah… everything really is bigger here," he muttered, eyes trailing after a pair of stylish flight attendants strolling by with jiggling boobs.

Before long, he arrived at Gates 10 and 11. Both were grouped nearby, and apparently, either could take him towards Nexus Academy.

Just as he stepped toward the Gate 10's Autotrack, he stopped abruptly.

A young woman stood alone by a vending machine—magenta hair tied in long double ponytails, a printed flight ticket in hand. But what caught his attention—was the way her jeans clung to her butt that could only be described as... outstanding. They were really the juiciest pair of peaches he had ever seen.

"Damn," he muttered under his breath with a smirk, eyes locked on the perfect piece of ass before him. Without hesitation, he strode up beside her, radiating confidence.

"Oh, Miss—were you trying to get something?" he asked smoothly, flashing a practiced, charming smile. "I'm grabbing something myself, so let me treat you."

She blinked, momentarily flustered. Her voice came out soft and sweet. "Oh—no, you don't have to. I was just browsing…"

She was shorter than him—maybe 5'5"—wearing a simple white shirt that did little to hide her big breasts. Her big pink glasses gave her a studious, almost innocent look, but there was no mistaking her natural beauty.

---

*Should Orin insist on buying a drink for her?*

• Yes.

• No.

[**Choice Selected: Yes.**]

---

Orin smiled, not backing down. "I insist. Consider it a little treat from a handsome stranger. So… what would you like?"

She hesitated, glancing up at him. Her pale blue eyes sparkled behind the lenses for a moment before she looked back at the machine. "You're really kind," she said, a shy smile tugging at her lips. "Then… maybe…"

She peered at the options, her eyes flickering with brief excitement—then dimming just as quickly. "Just a regular pop soda, I guess."

"As you wish." Orin paid the extravagant price of 600₽ through his phone and retrieved the can with a grin. "By the way, I'm Orin."

She accepted it gently. "Thanks… I'm Jessica."

But the moment their fingers brushed—just as the can passed between them—he heard a voice that wasn't quite the same he had heard from her—it was way more brash.

Ugh, finally. I was dying of thirst over here.

The next second, she opened the can and downed it in one long gulp.

Burp.

"Ah—! I'm so sorry, excuse me," Jessica said quickly, covering her mouth in embarrassment. Her cheeks flushed as she avoided his gaze.

"It's nothing... Jessica," Orin replied with a blink, regaining his composure. "I couldn't help but notice—you're from Vermilion City? I'm from Saffron myself. Are you here on vacation?"

She looked down at the printed ticket in her hand and gave an awkward laugh, waving it. "Oh, this? No, no, I'm not here for a vacation." Her face brightened with pride. "I'm here to attend Nexus Academy. It's a huge day for me."

"Oh really? What a coincidence—me too," Orin said, feeling genuinely surprised.

"What?" Her cheerful smile froze, shifting to a deadpan stare.

"Yeah, I took my entrance exam yesterday in Saffron. Now I'm here, ready to start." he said with a chuckle. Then he gestured toward the large exit gate up ahead. "So, are you here alone? We could walk out together if you want. I'm not really sure though where we have go after that."

She shook her head quickly. "No, I'm with a friend. We flew in together. You go on ahead—I'll wait for him."

"You sure?" he asked, flashing her another grin. "I don't mind waiting. Gives me more time to talk with a pretty girl."

Jessica let out a soft, amused laugh, covering her mouth with both hands. "You're really sweet—but seriously, go on ahead. I'll catch up to you with my friend once he gets here. He should be arriving any moment."

---

*What should Orin do?*

• Ask for her number.

• Kiss her on the cheek before leaving.

• Hug her before leaving.

[**Choice Selected: Ask for her number.**]

---

Orin hesitated for just a beat, then flashed a bold smile.

"Well, before I go—mind if I get your number?"

Jessica blinked, caught off guard.

"Um… you want my number?" she repeated, her tone hesitant and clearly unsure about the idea.

"We're both heading to the same Academy," Orin said casually. "It's just practical, right? Could come in handy if either of us needs anything."

Jessica looked down, chewing the inside of her cheek.

"Yeah… that makes sense," she murmured more to herself than him. With a reluctant smile, she finally reached into her pocket.

She pulled out an old, cracked flip-style phone—clearly past its prime. The hinge was patched up with tape, and the screen flickered faintly with every movement. She looked a little embarrassed.

"This is actually my friend's. He destroyed my phone earlier today, so I'm just borrowing his for now," she explained, laughing awkwardly. "So maybe we should save the whole number exchange thing for later…"

"I get it," Orin said with an understanding nod. "My previous phone's have been through worse—someone I know once crushed it by accident… then later managed to toss it into a swimming pool. Don't ask how." He smiled wryly, clearly thinking of his sweet but terrifying little sister.

Jessica glanced up, surprised, then gave a small, genuine chuckle.

"Seriously?"

"Dead serious," Orin grinned. "So… if it's still your SIM card, your number should be the same, right?"

She hesitated again as he stepped forward and offered his own phone.

"…You're pretty persistent," she muttered under her breath, then carefully typed her number into his device.

"Here. My Academy Friend," she added with a half-forced smile, handing it back.

Orin immediately called her. Jessica fumbled slightly with the dim screen, tapping to end the call.

"Cool. You've got my number too now," he said. "I'll save yours as Cute Jessica."

She shot him a side glance, her smile tightening just a bit as her eyes narrowed. But she didn't protest.

"You can save mine as Handsome Orin, by the way," he added with a wink. "Anyway, I'll be waiting outside the gate. Don't keep me waiting too long—you and your friend better show."

He gave her a final wave and turned to leave. Jessica watched him go, her expression hard to read—equal parts amused, flustered, and slightly annoyed.

As Orin walked toward Gate 10, his cheerful smile began to fade, replaced by a thoughtful frown.

At first glance, he had been skeptical of her identity. Her disguise and acting were nearly flawless… but that tiny moment of contact—just a brush of fingers—had revealed more than she intended. A whisper of her true thoughts and her true voice had slipped through.

"That was Jessie… from Team Rocket," He muttered under his breath, eyes narrowing. "What the hell is Team Rocket doing all the way out here on Unity Isle?… Is she really going to attend Nexus?"

The thought gnawed at him. "Did Big Sis send them here?" He shook his head. "No… that doesn't make sense… right?"

Still, he couldn't shake the shock of the encounter.

"But damn," He muttered with a smirk, "Jessie's hot. Even as 'Jessica' trying to tone it down, that body isn't something you can just hide. Looks like Nexus Academy is gonna be very interesting…"

Minutes later…

"Where the hell is that idiot?" Jessica muttered, crushing the empty soda can in her hand with an annoyed glare.

"Hey Jessi...ca! I'm back!" came an exhausted male voice.

A nerdy-looking guy with thick glasses and bluish-purple hair stumbled up, dragging four travel bags, three carry-ons, and holding a cage. He was drenched in sweat.

"You bloody idiot! What took you so long?" Jessica snapped, stomping over and punching him square in the gut.

"Gah—ugh!" he gasped, doubling over in pain.

"Do you even know how long I've been waiting?" she muttered, her blue eyes practically stabbing him.

"I-I would've been faster if you had come with me! These are all your bags anyway," he complained, rubbing his stomach. "And it took forever to sign the papers for Meowth." He lifted the cage up with a groan.

"I don't care! I was dying of thirst here!" she said coldly.

"Uh, there's a water cooler right over there..." James pointed across the hall.

"Shut up! Do you think I'd drink normal water in a foreign region? I could get sick! I needed bottled water, you understand?" she snapped, thumping him hard on the head with a bonk.

"Will you two idiots keep it down? I'm trying to sleep here," came a muffled voice from inside the cage.

"Shh! Keep that stupid cat quiet! Do you want to blow our cover?" Jessica hissed, glancing around nervously.

"Y-Yes! Shh!" James echoed, putting a finger to his lips and glaring at the cage.

"Hmph." came a snort from within.

"Come on, let's get to the gate already. We're late because of you two fools," Jessica said, walking ahead in visible annoyance.

"But Jessica… didn't you want that bottled water?" James asked as he scrambled to catch up, dragging their mountain of luggage behind him.

"Like you have any money to buy it!" she scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"It's not my fault you spent our entire budget at the in-flight bar," James muttered under his breath.

"Hmph! I don't need money. There are plenty of boys who would line up to give me anything I want… just for my beauty," she said with a proud smirk, lifting her chin. "Just like that handsome guy I was talking to earlier."

"Really? Must've been because of all the makeup and disguise," James said with a nod.

"Shut up, idiot!" she snapped, smacking him on the head again.

Clang!

"Meooowww!" came a yowl from the cage as James stumbled and dropped it.

The Encounter rolls here are Female Encounter Rolls, which are 1d10 or 1d20 rolls (first number to repeat is chosen).

1 can either mean that you didn't meet anyone or it can just be a normal roll.

Subsequently 10/20 can mean a surprise encounter with something special added like here he met Jessie because it was a 1d10 and 10 was the double roll.

Right now all the 10 females are unkown as Orin havent met many people yet, in the future the list of people will be given and then the dice will choose who you meet or do stuff with.

To keep it luck based is fun!
