Pokémon Simulation: Hunting The Protagonists

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Perfect-Quality Sun Stone and Destiny Child’s Intel

[Colton]

Destiny Child.

A civilian trainer with a natural affinity for Ghost-type Pokémon.

Potential to become a future Elite Four member.

Future Wife: Luna

[Seven Days Later]

Colton and several friends plan to explore an abandoned mansion rumored to be haunted in the northwest part of Lakeside City.

During the exploration, they are driven out by a shiny Gastly. However, thanks to his affinity with Ghost-types, Colton befriends the shiny Gastly and eventually captures it.

[Eight Days Later]

Shiny Gastly informs Colton about a treasure buried by its former owner in Misty Mountain.

[Seventeen Days Later]

Colton, with his newly received starter Pokémon and shiny Gastly, heads to the secret base in Misty Mountain to find the treasure.

He discovers a Perfect-Quality Sun Stone, valued at over 20 million credits, and captures a golden-quality Aron with outstanding defensive potential.

[Two Months Later]

The Perfect-Quality Sun Stone is auctioned by the Flame Trading Company for 23 million credits, marking Colton's first significant fortune.

...

Ethan carefully read Colton's intel, his expression soon turning into one of delight.

He hadn't expected Colton to be the one who had auctioned off the Perfect-Quality Sun Stone in his previous life.

And the treasure's location was revealed by the shiny Gastly!

This was practically handing the opportunity over to Ethan on a silver platter.

A shiny Gastly.

A golden-quality Aron.

A Perfect-Quality Sun Stone.

Each of these was a treasure on its own.

Even the least valuable of them—the golden-quality Aron—could easily sell for 3 or 4 million credits.

With its final evolution, Aggron, being incredibly popular in the Shenzo Region and capable of Mega Evolution, its value was almost on par with that of a starter Pokémon with purple potential.

Ethan couldn't help but admire how truly blessed Destiny Children were.

Opportunities seemed to rain down on them one after another.

Unfortunately for Colton, now that Ethan knew the locations of these treasures, he wouldn't leave him a single one.

After using simulation training to reach Level 30, Ethan had already spent nearly 300,000 credits.

Beyond Level 30, each simulation session would consume 50 points.

Ethan did some calculations. Even if he invested all his remaining credits, Oddish still wouldn't reach Level 40.

Thus, he decided to focus on maxing out all of Oddish's critical skills to Level 10 first. If there were any points left, he would then consider boosting her level further.

[System Notice]

[Enhancing Skill: Swords Dance]

[After 441 days of training, Oddish's Swords Dance has reached the maximum enhancement level—Skill Level +10.]

[Total Points Consumed: 1,000]

Ethan almost spat out his water when he saw how much Swords Dance had cost him.

Enhancing one skill had burned through 100,000 credits, nearly a tenth of all his points.

He chuckled bitterly. "Well, it is Swords Dance… Not only is it rare, but even the training duration is insane."

Fortunately, skill enhancement consumed points per level increase, rather than per day of training like level simulations. Otherwise, his funds wouldn't have been enough.

[After 282 days of training, Oddish's Energy Ball has reached the maximum enhancement level—Skill Level +10.]

[Total Points Consumed: 700]

[After 103 days of training, Oddish's Synthesis has reached the maximum enhancement level—Skill Level +10.]

[Total Points Consumed: 200]

[After 441 days of training, Oddish's Double Team has reached the maximum enhancement level—Skill Level +10.]

[Total Points Consumed: 400]

[Integration of understanding and memory will take 119 minutes.]

Ethan leaned back, satisfied. Even though these enhancements were costly, they were worth every credit.

Each of Oddish's skills had been pushed to its peak, setting her up for future battles in ways that would give her an overwhelming advantage.
