The answer is B.

Oddish needs to absorb moonlight to grow. During the day, it must avoid the sun.

Many people think of Oddish as an ordinary Grass Pokémon, but they often choose the wrong answer to this question.

Moving on, there are many similar topics. However, for Chris, who has prepared well, these questions are not much of a challenge.

The final major question is about a Pokémon Breeder's design.

This is a common type of question in the Breeder exam. This time, the Breeder scheme designed by the candidate revolves around "Torkoal" and is specifically focused on training it as a weather-handling Pokémon.

This... It was as if the question was tailor-made for Chris.

Chris had previously studied the Breeder scheme of Moore, the grandfather of Lavaridge Gym Leader Flannery, and a member of Hoenn's Elite Four.

If Chris doesn't score perfectly on this, he might as well let the examiner marking the paper reprimand him.

Of course, if the examiner is at an Elite level themselves, then that's a different story.

As if he already had the answer key, Chris completed the paper in record time. After reviewing his answers, he confidently stood up and submitted the paper.

The other students in the room looked at him with admiration.

Although everyone was just going through the motions of the exam, finishing and submitting the paper in under an hour was undeniably impressive.

Even the teacher proctoring the exam glanced at Chris and shook their head silently.

"Young people these days," the teacher mused. "Even if they don't know the answers, they should at least fill in all the blanks."

The proctor casually picked up Chris's test paper and flipped to the final questions. Seeing the detailed answers, they were momentarily stunned.

Outside the exam room, Chris began walking toward the next test location.

The next exam was the practical portion.

The structure of these exams was no different from the ones Chris had encountered at Dragon University. The university had designed its entrance exams to mirror the Breeder qualification exams.

"Battle Area 3… Battle Area 3…" Chris muttered as he followed the signs.

Since he had finished the written exam early, there weren't many people around him, so he had to navigate on his own.

"Chris?" an uncertain voice called out.

Chris turned around and saw a familiar face.

"Trevor!" Chris was surprised to run into an old friend here.

"It's really you!" Trevor exclaimed, walking over with a girl by his side. He clapped Chris on the shoulder, having only vaguely recognized him from a distance and decided to take a chance by calling out.

"What are you doing here? Weren't you studying at the Starmoon Gym in Starmoon Province?" Chris asked curiously. He and Trevor exchanged letters occasionally. Trevor had been successfully accepted as an apprentice at the Starmoon Gym, and Chris had been happy for him, even jokingly demanding a celebration drink when Trevor returned for the New Year.

"Why, are you also here to take the Breeder qualification exam?"

"No, I'm not planning to become a Breeder," Trevor quickly clarified. "The Starmoon Gym was invited by the Breeders Association to act as examiners for this year's test."

"Oh…" Chris nodded, understanding the situation.

The Breeder Qualification Exam was hosted by top universities each year, but the examiners were typically from other provinces, selected by the Breeders Association to minimize the risk of cheating.

"What about you? Are you here for the Breeder exam?"

"Yeah, I just finished the written portion and was about to head to the practical exam, but this Mountain University campus is so confusing—I was almost lost!"

"It's no problem. I'll take you there; I just came from that area," Trevor offered cheerfully. Running into an old friend put him in an even better mood, and he was happy to help.

"Okay! Then take me there. After the battle, we'll grab lunch together," Chris said, unreserved with his buddy.

Trevor turned around and began walking back with Chris and the girl.

"Who's this?" Chris asked casually, glancing at the girl as they walked.

"Oh, right! I almost forgot to introduce you. This is my girlfriend, Charlotte," Trevor said hurriedly, gesturing toward the girl beside him.

"Hello, I've heard Trevor mention you," the girl said, nodding politely at Chris.

"Hello!" Chris replied with a slight nod, acknowledging the introduction. However, the surname made him pause for a moment. "Wait, isn't the Gym Leader of Starmoon Dojo named Robert too?"

"That's my father," Charlotte answered without hesitation.

"Really?" Chris couldn't help but give Trevor a friendly punch, looking him up and down as though reevaluating his friend. Trevor didn't typically stand out in any particular way, and he'd never been known to talk about romance—yet now he had managed to date someone this exceptional.

"It's quite the coincidence..." Trevor replied with a sheepish smile.

Chris could tell there was more to the story, but he decided to save his questions for their lunch later.

Before long, Trevor led Chris to the battle area at Mountain

University and helped him locate Battle Area No. 3.

"Charlotte, who is this?" As soon as they arrived, a young man in his mid-twenties approached the group.

"Senior Brother Aiden, this is my friend," Trevor said, stepping forward to explain. "He's here to take the Breeder Qualification Exam. I met him on the way and brought him over. Since I'm not an examiner, I can't go inside, so I'll leave him in your care, Senior Brother."

Senior Brother Aiden gave Chris a quick once-over before turning back to Trevor with a smile. "Got it. I'll take care of him."

He then turned and gestured for Chris to follow him.

"See you at lunchtime!" Trevor called after him.

"Okay, I'll give you a call when I'm done!" Chris waved as he followed Senior Brother Aiden into the battle area.

After weaving through several corridors, Senior Brother Aiden brought Chris to a battlefield in a secluded corner labeled No. 16.

"Senior Brother Jayden, I've brought the candidate over!" Senior Brother Aiden announced as he entered the room.

The examiner, Jayden, was a young man with a cold expression and a slender frame. He appeared to be no older than twenty-five.

Jayden glanced at Chris and Senior Brother Aiden, nodding slightly but remaining silent, his face still as stern as ever.

"You go ahead and hand your admission ticket to the referee. I'll put in a good word for you," Senior Brother Aiden whispered to Chris.

Chris was taken aback. It seemed that Trevor's connections carried quite a bit of weight. Though he didn't think he needed any special treatment, it would've been rude to reject Senior Brother Aiden's gesture of goodwill.

Chris handed his admission ticket to the referee as Senior Brother Aiden approached Jayden and spoke softly.

"Senior Brother Jayden, this guy is a close friend of the organiser's kid!"

Jayden's eyes flickered at the mention of the name. His cold expression thawed just slightly, the corner of his mouth lifting into a faint smile.
