"Damn it, after defeating my Poliwrath, it's also evolving! Ugh!"

Seeing Zubat rise on top of Poliwrath's shoulders and begin to evolve, Ishida Taro's expression turned exceptionally grim after just recalling Poliwrath into its PokéBall.

However, when he considered using a small needle to slightly interfere with Zubat's evolution process, a cold glare immediately fixed on him.

In an instant, a sense of deadly threat surged within him. Feeling a breath of death approaching, Ishida Taro froze, daring not to make a move. Following his instincts, he turned his head slightly and was met with Sato's eyes, which were filled with murderous intent.

At this moment, beside Sato stood Bellossom, holding a bright green Energy Ball directed squarely at Ishida Taro.

Though small, the Energy Ball emitted visible waves of green energy, clearly indicating it was a compressed Grass-type energy ball, capable of delivering substantial power.

It was evident that if Ishida Taro dared to make any slight movement, Bellossom's potent Energy Ball would immediately strike him, leaving his fate uncertain.

"If I dare make a small move, this guy will definitely have his Pokémon take me out."

Feeling the cold murderous look from Sato and seeing the green Energy Ball in Bellossom's hand, Ishida Taro slowly lowered his small needle and stood frozen like a wooden statue, beads of sweat the size of beans dripping from his face onto the ground.

"What a terrifying guy; Ishida has really kicked the hornet's nest this time."

In the trainer's lounge, young female trainers exchanged glances with young male trainers, silently thinking the same.

While Sato and Bellossom kept a close watch on Ishida Taro, Zubat bathed in the evolution light, undergoing a dramatic transformation.

First and foremost were its wings. Zubat's large bat wings, which initially stretched out to 1.2 meters, were now rapidly enlarging at a visible rate. Ultimately, the wings expanded to at least 1.8 meters in length, becoming broader and more powerful.

Next came its mouth and body. Zubat's formerly small mouth began to stretch and enlarge quickly, transforming into a massive jaw with four sharp fangs, nearly taking up most of its body.

Simultaneously, a pair of menacing eyes emerged at the front, and its previously large ears shrank to become small, resembling a pair of cute cat ears.

Finally, Zubat's long pointed tail wings gradually elongated and transformed under the reshaping influence of the evolution light, ultimately forming into a pair of small feet shaped like a straight line.

As the evolution light dispersed quickly into the air, a remarkably robust Golbat appeared, its newly evolved form showcasing broad wings that it flared powerfully.

In an instant, a white whirlwind with a diameter of over three meters appeared centered around Golbat. The strong winds emanating from the center stirred up a fierce gale that swept across the battlefield, causing the audience members to instinctively close their eyes.

Seconds later, after adapting to its body, a newly evolved Golbat swiftly flew to Sato's side and gently landed on his outstretched arm.

"Hahaha~~! Congratulations, Golbat! From today onward, your strength has taken a huge leap forward!" Sato exclaimed, grinning widely as he looked at the large bat, which was nearly twice the size of a normal one.

As Sato's starter Pokémon, Golbat's evolution was of great significance. Its ability to evolve signified not only Golbat's growth but also Sato's progress as a trainer. He had completely shed the identity of a novice trainer.

"Bellossom~~!" Bellossom, standing beside Sato, dispelled the energy ball in her hand and smiled as she congratulated Golbat.

"Clap, clap, clap~~~!"

In addition to Bellossom's congratulations, many spectators who witnessed the evolution cheered and applauded, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.

While Sato and Golbat reveled in their victory and the joy of evolution, Ishida Taro quietly left the arena, feeling somewhat dejected as he walked into the contestant passage.

This time, as the newcomer to the battlefield, Sato's debut was marked by standing atop Ishida Taro, a veteran trainer with 21 wins. As the victor, Sato naturally received honor, while the loser, Ishida Taro, could only exit in solitude.

Soon, prompted by the referee, Sato, along with Golbat and Bellossom, made their way off the stage.

However, instead of entering the contestant lounge to wait for his next match, Sato chose to sit in the audience area near the exit of the contestant passage, watching other competitors closely.

At the same time, Sato took out his laptop and utilized the system's detection capabilities to meticulously record the data of the competitors and their Pokémon battling on the field.

Without a doubt, one of these competitors would soon become his opponent, so gathering sufficient intelligence was essential to gain the upper hand in the battles ahead.

Since the battles were one-on-one, each Pokémon match in the arena didn't last long. Within just an hour, there were ten Pokémon battles.

Through close observation, Sato noticed that every competitor displayed considerable strength. While there were differences in skill, they were not significant.

Moreover, each Pokémon sent onto the battlefield showed high battle quality, clearly exhibiting signs of rigorous training by their trainers.

In the end, Sato gained a deeper understanding of various Pokémon moves and the actions performed before executing these moves through his close watching.

"They're all powerful opponents. I'm quite lucky to be able to battle against them! As long as I can defeat them one by one, my Pokémon will surely gain abundant experience points," Sato thought, excitedly watching the intense battles unfolding before him.
