Chapter 139: Chapter 139
"Hey..." Ilene smiled when Aizen led her inside the study and then hugged her right in front of Kidd and Anabel, who could not help their smiles when they witnessed the scene.
The Queen blushed but returned his hug, and felt warm in her heart as he kept holding her, not willing to let go.
"Aizen?" She curiously called out to him, wondering what he was thinking about.
She also had a hunch that he wanted to tell her something.
"You are pregnant." He gently whispered in her ear, and her body froze at his words.
Even though she was curious how he knew it, she believed his words, and her body soon trembled and tears leaked out.
Her Blood was not going to die with her.
Only Arceus knew how relieved she was in her heart, and she felt like someone had lifted a mountain off her shoulders.
Once the feeling of relief washed away, she was filled with a motherly warmth, and her arms subconsciously tightened around the father of her child.
Anabel and Kidd felt awkward at seeing the two hug each other for so long but tensed up when they saw the Queen's tear-stained face when she separated from her husband's arms.
What happened? They frowned but did not step forward to disturb them.
Aizen gently wiped away her tears and kissed her lips, and then she burst out into giggles as soon as they pulled away.
She quickly walked over to the table and picked up some wet tissues, wiped her face clean, and then sat in her chair.
Aizen too took his seat, and as soon as their eyes met, both failed to hold back their smiles.
This confused Anabel and Kidd, who were curious about what was going on, but they still did not raise any questions.
A few minutes later, the door was knocked, and Joseph Stone entered the study.
He politely bowed to the two of them and then sat down at the table.
"It's Arlo?" He guessed.
"Yes, it's Arlo," The Orayen Prince nodded his head. "We can't let Bonna off the hook yet either."
"I see," He frowned. "How did you figure it out?"
"He has a malevolent aura, something I am very sensitive to, and there are Ghost-Type Energies around him..." Aizen informed him about his observations. "I am certain that he owns several Shadow Pokémon."
"Your Grace..."
"No, Anabel." The Old Man shook his head to the Protector. "We can't arrest him yet."
Joseph's niece looked at him in confusion.
"He knew about our presence here, knew that Aizen is now married to Ilene. Yet he brought Shadow Pokémon with him. This means that they still want to go ahead with their plans. And this means that he is not enough to complete the task." His voice grew cold. "We can't risk the Queen's safety," Joseph spoke with no room for arguments.
He would not go against Aizen's plans unless they concerned the Prince's and his Queen's safety.
"I agree. Which is why I am sending her to the Blank Island tomorrow."
To Ilene's surprise, her husband agreed with the Old Stone.
"No, I can't leave..."
Aizen narrowed his eyes at her, and she flinched under his cold gaze.
"The Games..."
"Are not more important than your life. The festival can go on without you."
"But the enemy will be alarmed if I leave..."
Joseph, Anabel, and Kidd were also concerned about it.
"Don't worry about it. I have someone in mind who can Transmute and replace you. The enemy won't even know that you are missing."
"Who?" Anabel frowned.
"Sabrina."
"She can use Transmutation?" Joseph looked shocked.
"With my help, yes. And she has big enough Psychic Reserves to maintain the disguise for a long time."
"You should discuss this with her first. You are putting her in danger..." Ilene felt unwell after she heard his words.
"It was her plan, and now I have decided to follow it."
His words again surprised them all.
"Oh..."
Aizen could not help but sigh in his heart.
Sabrina was extremely intelligent, and now that he recalled their conversations, he understood that she had already prepared for all possible scenarios.
She was someone he could trust with his eyes closed.
"When do I leave?" His wife asked him, resigning to his decision.
"We will leave before Dawn. Grandma will personally receive us on the Blanc Island, and then I will come back in time to help Sabrina transform into you before the Opening Ceremony."
With Ilene on the Blanc Island, half of their worries would be put to rest.
Joseph left the room to get to work and to inform the rest of the Action Team about Arlo.
Kidd left together with him, and Anabel too retired to her room for the night after Aizen and Ilene entered their room.
The Orayen Prince held his wife to sleep, and just as planned, woke her up and helped her get ready to leave a little over an hour before dawn.
They silently left atop their Mega Pidgeot and Pidgeot and reached the Tree of Beginning when the sky was still dark.
Making their way inside, Aizen used his Aura Sight to guide her to the Hall of Mew, a secret chamber, a place only those who were worthy could find. Even the Aura Users and Psychics could not necessarily find it. And even Ilene has never been to it.
Once they arrived inside Mew's Hall, Aizen did not even have to look at other Aura Crystal Portals and led her straight into the one that was connected to the Tree of Beginning on Blanc Island.
The two of them passed right into the Aura Crystal, whose surface rippled as if was a film of water, and the next they blinked, they were falling through a luminous green vein where Aura Orbs floated all around them. After several minutes of free falling, they found themselves back inside the Hall of Mew, gently pushed into it, but they were now on Blanc Island.
A graceful lady was waiting for them in the Hall, wearing a smile, and by her side stood her pair of Mega Gardevoir and Mega Gallade.
As soon as Ilene saw the Orayen Queen, she was stunned, having never used the Veins of the Tree of Beginning to travel.
Even though she knew how it worked, she could not believe that in a matter of minutes, she had travelled from the Rota Kingdom to Blanc Island, which was half a world apart.
"Grandma." Aizen let go of his wife's hand and walked over to tightly hug his grandmother, who protectively wrapped her arms around him.
The two shared a hug in silence, and when they separated, Grisha gently cupped his cheeks and planted a kiss on his forehead, which made him smile.
"Your Grace." The Queen of Rota Kingdom deeply bowed to the Orayen Queen, who beckoned her to come forward and then hugged her.
"Has my child been unkind to you, Ilene?"
"No, Your Grace..."
"You can call me anything but Your Grace." She smiled. "How about Mother?"
Ilene's eyes brimmed up with tears and she happily smiled.
"Mother."
"Good." Grisha cupped her cheeks and then raised her brow at her grandson. "Why the sudden change in your plans?"
She did not know why he had sent her the message that he was sending the Cameran Queen to her.
"Ilene will tell you why." He grinned at her and then nodded to the Mega Gardevoir and Mega Gallade who were on their knees. "How are you, Rin, Rey?"
The two Pokémon stood up and started chatting with him, telling him how things had been in his absence, and after a while, he smiled at them before looking back at his Grandmother.
"How long are you going to keep the Waterflowers at the Palace?"
"A while. You won't see your Orange Flower before the Indigo Conference. Her Father and sisters will be returning to their home next month," His Grandmother informed him and then the Mega Gallade stepped forward to hand him a small chest he was carrying.
"Leaf's Birthday Present?" He guessed but did not open it.
"From you and Anira. It's what you asked for." Grisha smiled.
"Thank you." He accepted the chest and then smiled at his wife, who was blushing a little.
"Be safe." She worriedly said to him, and his smile brightened.
"I will be fine." He promised her and his Grandmother before stepping back and entering the Crystal Portal.
When he left, Grisha looked at the lady by her side, who was nervously fidgeting in her presence.
"Has your heart accepted him yet, Ilene?"
She froze at her words, and then meekly nodded.
"He's my husband."
"Yes, but has your heart accepted him?" She asked again, and the Cameran Queen blushed.
"Yes, Mother."
Grisha scrutinised her expressions and smiled when she saw that she was not lying.
"Good. Now tell me why he has dropped you here."
"I..." She blushed more, and then nervously clutched the hem of the skirt.
"Yes?"
"I am with a child."
"So soon?" The Old Queen surprisedly asked. "How do you know?"
"Aizen told me yesterday... I don't know how he knows, but I believe him."
"Oh."
Understanding how her Grandson must have learned about it, Grisha brightly smiled and wrapped her arms around the Cameran Queen, giving her a warm hug.
"Congratulations, My Dear. I know you will be a great mother to your child."
"Thank you." Ilene sweetly smiled. "I wanted to stay, but he..."
"He did the right thing. With you here, everyone there can concentrate better. They would have less to worry about. And don't worry. There is no safer place in the world than the Blanc Island."
The Orayen Queen smiled and then pulled the Younger Queen out of the Hall of Mew to take her to the Orayen Palace.
When they arrived outside the Tree of Beginning, it was pitch dark, and not even midnight in this part of the world.
"You are not scared of flying at night, are you?"
"No..."
Her worlds were cut short when a monstrously large and dark Pokémon suddenly landed on the giant stalk in front of them.
She stumbled back in fear, finding its red and white eyes menacing, but soon she saw that it was a bird. A bird whose feathers were tempered with steel.
And when the raven let out a cry, she understood what it was.
"An Alpha Corviknight?!" She exclaimed in surprise, and Grisha giggled before she pulled her by the hand and teleported, stepping on the back of the bird.
Ilene was a little scared that she would fall off when Corviknight flapped its wings and took off, but surprisingly, her feet felt glued to the bird's back as it reached up into the sky.
Flying whilst standing was an entirely new experience for her, and when she laid eyes on the Orayen Palace in the distance, and the Aura Stones shining all over it, her heart skipped a beat.
She had been here before, but just like the last time, she fell into a trance.
Cameran Palace was not even half its size, and neither was it as majestic, standing so tall that its four towers seemed to touch the clouds, and white with thousands of Aura Stones decorating it, which shimmered at night.
In the distance, she also saw the Blanc Laboratory, which was also a sight to behold. A lot of things had changed in the appearance of the Labour since the last time she saw it. Now it looked like a pyramid made out of glass, and it was massive.
When the Corviknight landed on the floating Platform, Ilene looked at the five girls who were waiting for them there.
She recognised three of them as they were the Waterflower Sisters, and she guessed that the orange head was their youngest sister.
As for the bluenette who was wearing a white lab coat, standing there with her Musharna, she soon learned that she was Doctor Fennel, an assistant to Doctor Grisha.
Without how amiable everyone was, Ilene was certain that she was going to enjoy her days at the Blanc Palace, but she was already missing her husband...
