Popular NPC in a Gender-Reversed Game

Chapter 127

A spirited young woman in her twenties often has one recurring thought.

If she’s still a virgin, that thought becomes even more frequent.

It’s this wish, you see.

“Ah, I really want to have sex…”

It’s an unavoidable situation.

For those lacking experience, sex is a whole new world. At the peak of their youthful vigor, there aren’t many opportunities to release that pent-up energy.

Sure, there are adult films and the occasional erotic novel, but those only go so far.

It’s only natural to wonder what the real sensation is like.

Im Haneul, raised in a conservative household and a devout Confucian, was no exception.

In fact, given her lengthy time as a single, she often found herself filled with curiosity about such matters.

Now was no different.

With her heavy chest resting on the desk, she continued editing.

Suddenly, her thoughts wandered.

Editing is a long and arduous process, often leading to distraction and daydreaming. She stared blankly into space, pondering.

“Damn, I should’ve had the guts to go out for drinks in college more often…”

Having been born in South Korea, it was only natural for her to attend university.

And not just any university, but one that had a bit of prestige.

Her intelligence played a part, as did her parents’ enthusiasm about her education.

However, now she had forgotten most of what she learned, stuck in her room hopping between editing and gaming…

Still, sometimes she regretted the memories of that time.

Back then, she preferred the comfort of home over bar-hopping.

Of course, it’s hard to say if being social would have led to any romantic escapades.

But at least it might have increased the chances.

As she pondered this, her mind completely veered off track.

Though just an NPC in a game, the only ‘man’ she knew was Yor.

His looks were far superior to any other ‘man’ she had ever seen, so it was hard not to be intrigued.

Lost in thought, she naturally found herself clicking on the folder full of Yor’s pictures. He happened to have quite a few revealing shots.

He always fought without armor, wearing only thin clothes.

These clothes were often torn during battles. Haneul gazed at his exposed body and found herself lost in various thoughts.

She could tell he had well-toned muscles just from looking. Not overwhelming, but strong enough. How would it feel to touch them?

What would his scent be like up close? What’s his body temperature?

What would he look like at night? Would he shy away like all those suggestive stories on the Internet?

…And what about his lower half?

Of course, she knew that thinking like this made her sound perverted.

There were times she felt guilty for having such lowbrow thoughts.

But halting this fanciful train of imagination wasn’t an easy feat.

In fact, that very feeling of guilt only fueled her desire further.

As she remained lost in thought, she began to feel a familiar itch down below.

She couldn’t help but ponder.

“Ugh, should I take care of this before I work…”

Just then, her phone alarm chimed. Haneul picked up her phone, feeling slightly annoyed, and checked her messages.

A text from Chaerin appeared.

[Hey sis, do you have time the weekend after next?]

[You might end up staying up all night, so clear your schedule for tomorrow as much as you can]

[If you come to the meeting, there’s extra pay; totally possible]

“Huh?”

Haneul tilted her head in confusion.

Her surprise over the sudden message quickly turned into a willingness to help Chaerin.

After all, there wasn’t much to do at home, just gaming and editing, and more importantly, there was a sense of urgency in Chaerin’s request.

“Thanks so much! Phew… you saved me.”

What that urgency was about remained a mystery.

Chaerin refused to explain, claiming that Haneul wouldn’t understand even if she did… so Haneul had no choice but to accept the gratitude without any context.

Two weeks flew by.

There wasn’t any major event on the horizon, and no demons had shown up, either.

Chaerin took Haneul down a path that was quite familiar, heading to Yor’s cave. It was her first time coming here at night, though.

The scenery at night was vastly different from what you’d find during the day.

Where daytime brought a dreamy quality, nighttime was so dark that you couldn’t see a step ahead.

All the moonlight streaming down was blocked by the leaves.

Today it was a new moon, so it felt like there was hardly any moonlight at all.

“…Sis, it’s dark, so keep close behind me.”

This was why Chaerin had come along, of course.

Unlike her, Haneul had no ‘hint’ to guide her and was bound to get lost before they reached the cave.

To be honest, Chaerin was thinking about slipping away, leaving her sister behind…

After all, she felt a bit pressured about the whole three-way thing.

Plus, it wasn’t likely that Haneul would be comfortable if someone else suddenly joined them from the start.

All the while, she’d hope her sister would experience some of her own struggles…

That last reason was the main one, after all.

As they walked, Haneul voiced a question that was half-true.

Worry was clearly expressed on her face from the little glimpse she got of Yor’s fearsome transformation. She could only wonder what he might be going through.

This concern was understandable; Haneul had had only a brief glance at the berserk state.

She’d never seen what it actually looked like when a human turned into a beast, nor did she know it existed.

Chaerin simply nodded in response.

“Yeah, today I can’t make it, so I thought you should be with him…”

Chaerin decided to keep the “beast mode” detail a secret for now.

Haneul, however, showed a vulnerable side first. The whole situation was a little daunting for her, given her Confucian upbringing.

“But is it really okay? I mean, going to a stranger’s house at night…”

“Are you really going to just leave him alone here at night?”

Chaerin brushed off Haneul’s worry with one quick sentence.

But Haneul shook her head, disapprovingly.

‘In this darkness… how could he manage on his own?’

She understood how such an environmental factor could weigh heavily on someone’s psyche.

Imagining him suffering alone in the darkness… it was hard not to feel sorry for him.

Even if he had holy water with him.

Thus, without a word, Haneul followed Chaerin.

Perhaps due to the darkness, Chaerin was mysteriously tense without realizing it.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrived near the cave where he lived.

Hoo… Hoo…

Given how silent the night was, the labored breathing could be faintly heard from inside the cave.

Listening to that, Haneul thought, ‘He must be in a lot of pain…’

As she stood still for a moment, Chaerin suddenly spoke up.

“Well, sis, I’m gonna head out now.”

“Now? We just got here; let’s at least go in and see him.”

Haneul was keen to enter the cave with her, since it was her first time coming at night.

But the timing was all wrong.

“Kamui!”

Snap!

Before that, Chaerin logged out way faster.

“Ah…!”

Left all alone, Haneul stood there with a dumbfounded look.

But only for a moment; after a brief deep breath, she almost immediately intended to step into the cave.

At least she meant to.

“Yor, are you in… Aah!?”

Suddenly, something lunged out and tackled her before she could finish her sentence.

*

The biggest characteristic of the berserk state might be that it makes a person overly emotional and less patient.

They get irritated by the slightest things and go through fits of lust.

That’s how it was now.

When Chaerin was late for their meeting, I could only feel annoyed initially.

‘Seriously, I told her to come before dark…’

And yet, she hadn’t shown up before the berserk state hit.

From that point, my emotions started to churn.

The heat in my body rose, so I peeled off my top. Even though the weather was getting chilly, it barely did anything to quell the surge of heat from berserk mode.

When she finally arrives, I’ll need to make sure she knows how late she is.

That’s what I thought while catching my breath.

Luckily, the wait wasn’t too long. I could soon hear footsteps approaching from the cave entrance.

I wasted no time and charged toward the approaching figure.

“Aah…?!”

And naturally, I was in for a surprise.

Instead of Chaerin, I found Haneul right in front of me.

No matter how heightened my desires were, I was still capable of rational thought.

I managed to free her from the tackle as my mind raced.

For just a fleeting moment, I caught a glimpse of her ample chest under her oversized robe, but I exercised superhuman restraint.

Then I asked her, “What brings you here at night?”

Despite being a beast in berserk mode, I still had some decency left.

Even after seeing her body, the reason I didn’t act was that I’d just been with Chaerin.

Not that I was dating Chaerin, but it wouldn’t be right to just act out on myself.

Especially with Haneul, as she had a deep connection with Chaerin, so I was even more cautious.

Anything I did could jeopardize their relationship, and that was the last thing I wanted.

But who would’ve thought she would show up at such a dangerous time?

As I mulled this over, Haneul unexpectedly spoke up.

“Well, Chaerin said he’d struggle alone, so I came looking first.”

“Is that so? Where’s she at?”

“She was here until a while ago. Said she had to go because she was busy…”

Haneul wore a look of disbelief as she spoke.

Hearing that clued me in on something.

‘That little traitor sold her sister out…’

It made sense now: she’d recently seemed overwhelmed and had hightailed it out of there.

Like some broker offering up a new pawn.

Sounds a bit crass, but that basically was it.

Who would have guessed that she’d slip away like this? My irritation flared for just a moment due to the berserk state…

But looking at the situation, it was actually a favorable development.

Who wouldn’t want to jump into this situation?

“But how are you holding up? I’ve heard it’s incredibly painful when the new moon comes…”

As I lost myself in thought, Haneul asked me a question.

I hadn’t felt any pain yet, but I answered her anyway.

“…It hurts.”

“Oh. Really? Where?”

“Down below.”

Her gaze fell for a moment as she processed my words. For a fleeting moment, I saw desire flicker in her eyes.

But that was only for the briefest of moments; she quickly turned crimson and averted her gaze.

Regardless, I had things to do.

Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pulled her closer for a moment.

Her lower abdomen pressed against mine.

“W-wait a sec…”

Realizing something strange was happening to her lower half, her eyes widened, and she tensed up.

I stared into her eyes and asked, “It’s throbbing down here; think you could help me out?”

Haneul’s dark pupils began to shake wildly.
