Chapter 235: Bellini.
James was controlling himself under this bullshit situation when two wannabes wanted to show they have the upper hand, when he just came here to chill out and help his mental health, to have a conversation with a medical personal whose actual field is to help others, and now this motherfucker did exactly the opposite of it.
They were fucking just shoveling more fuel into James's anger, into the emotion that he was fucking pressing deep down within him, and now Niam, with that one fucking sentence, opened the floodgates wide open to the darkness to come out… or more like actually helped James.
He opened the gates for the darkness to come out, but at the same time, he helped James to kinda control it, under a situation when he wanted to pull out his gun and push it toward Niam's head and pull that fucking trigger.
But it would just show that he is exactly what people think about him… and would put him too on the spectrum of a fucking serial killer, on the same level as Lucian was, who couldn't control himself at his final days. And he knew it. He was clear with it, like he knew that too that he is, even if he wants to control all of it, something just pushing it out, something just wants to fucking kill them. But what?
What is this feeling of bloodlust out of nowhere? What is this need to kill this motherfucker in front of him? What is this feeling called?
Maybe it's not even a feeling but the real him, the broken him, the James that truly is wounded in the mind, in the heart. A man who, out of nowhere, became the key player of the criminal underworld. The man who, out of nowhere, had connection to every single motherfucker in the country. And out of nowhere, he got a child.
Everything happened too fast. Everything happened too early in his life. He isn't even old enough to understand everything in the world… and he already destroyed himself.
He noticed it many times, that the blood, the killing, when the anger and the darkness control him, he does it without any fucking thinking. But the worst of all of it was that he accepted it. And he didn't need to be controlled by his emotion, by his sorrow and guilt, thinking it was all because of this world, because of the actions against him, because of the actions he did, because a lot of people who he cared for died.
No, he was controlling it all along and did everything on his own… he misunderstood even himself and his emotion. It wasn't the darkness, it wasn't the guilt and all the things that were in his heart that controlled him… but the opposite of it, he was the only one all along.
He was truly born to be a gangster, born to be somebody to reach out for the top through blood, through bodies after another. He is a true leader, a gangster. He just didn't accept that fact, the fact that he is a monster, the devil himself because he fought against it. He wanted to push it down.
He finally ended up embracing the darkness to finally find himself.
James Bellini might be a psychopath, a sociopath, or who knows maybe a new definition in the psychological world… but one thing was sure, what Niam said was over the line.
The fucking rules of the underworld that almost every single fucker is following is don't touch any child. Now this fucker Niam was saying the opposite of it. He was saying and lying that the Bellini family would kill a child.
Yeah, that was what fucked him up, because even though he has power, influence, he knew there are fucking lines. There are rules and borders to this shit that he and nobody can step on or cross. Killing a child is a thing that he cared about a lot, that if that happened, he's going to kill whoever did it, even if it's in his family. And to not let a reputation out that they don't care about anything, that they kill everybody.
"They kill children, huh?"
"They are and will kill your—"
It was quick, like a gunslinger would do. He pulled up his polo shirt and precisely grabbed his pistol, pulling it out and aiming right between the eyes of Niam, not just aiming, but pushing the barrel to it.
"When you have a gun, be careful and have one in the chamber, especially if you are a gangster. Second, know how to switch off the safety." He said as he switched it off, and the click sent shivers down Niam, who was fucking shaking, while Eva on the side froze down as well as the doctor.
They were staring at the gun and what was engraved on it. When the doctor read it, she finally understood why this guy was different from any of her other patients — why he was radiating such a bad feeling, why his eyes were so empty.
"What does it say?" James asked Eva, but he still just aimed at Niam, who was shitting himself.
"B-Bellini…"
"Exactly, so what does that mean?"
It was obvious what it meant. It was obvious that they used the Bellini name to have an upper hand, and now the Scott Miller who was sitting in front of them was not Scott Miller, but a Bellini.
"Y-You are… one of them…" Eva whispered with her hesitant voice. She just started understanding that her little life in that bubble, that she and her family was now collapsing… or more like on the brink of death. And Niam was a hundred percent sure that this is the final day of his life.
He hadn't heard a lot about the Bellinis, but he knew one single thing.
They were messed up on a whole other level, and now one of them was pointing a gun straight at his face.
