The Omniverse pulsed.
Realities shifted like ocean currents beneath celestial winds, responding to the will of the being now fully awakened. Kaelthar—Primordial Dragon, Embodiment of Order, Slayer of Chaos—hovered at the edge of a new dimension, wings folded close like a serpent coiled in silence.
His vast body now shimmered in a condensed form, scaled down not in power, but in presence—enough to walk unnoticed by the threads of fate woven into the realm below. For the first time since awakening, Kaelthar chose not to dominate but to observe.
His golden eyes studied the world.
It was a curious one—brimming with demonic energy, divine influence, ancient myths, and new-age chaos. Dragons, angels, fallen, devils, sacred gears, and gods all tangled in a strange web of conflict and desire.
It reminded him of the younger worlds—still finding balance, full of fire and foolish pride.
He hovered in the veil between realities, his claws gently tracing the outline of this world's barrier. "Hmm," he rumbled, his voice making nearby dimensions tremble. "This world… fragile. It would take no more than a breath to reduce it to cosmic ash."
Kaelthar slowly curled his tail, closing his eyes as he suppressed his power once more—compressing the limitless storm of his energy into a shell that would not unravel this delicate plane.
He hadn't set foot in a new world since the war. It had taken everything he had not to shatter things just by existing.
This world—he would enter it gently.
With a flex of his will, his body shimmered, transforming. His massive form compressed into a tall, impossibly handsome humanoid figure. Golden hair with silver streaks flowed like liquid fire. His eyes remained the same—twinned galaxies that glowed with primordial depth. Black dragon-scale patterns danced lightly along his forearms and neck, a reminder of what he truly was.
He floated toward the surface of the realm like a falling star, silent and unnoticed.
And when he finally stepped into it—into the Earth of the High School DxD world—no one knew.
Not the devils of the Gremory or Sitri clan.
Not the Fallen hiding in shadows.
Not even the Seraphim watching from Heaven.
The Primordial One had descended, and the world continued to spin, blissfully unaware.
The sky above Kuoh Town shimmered for a moment, unnoticed by its residents. Kaelthar stood quietly atop a rooftop, watching as high school students passed below, laughing, talking, flirting, living.
He tilted his head slightly.
"So… this is the world."
A strange world, he quickly realized. Despite its supernatural underpinnings, it was mostly peaceful—on the surface, anyway. This "school" served as a hub for supernatural beings under the guise of human society. Kaelthar could feel them—the devils pretending to be students, the sacred gears pulsing with power inside chosen vessels, the occasional fallen angel monitoring from afar.
And beneath it all, a deep, unstable energy… like kindling waiting for a spark.
He closed his eyes and focused.
In his mind, thousands of threads of information flooded forward—history, magic systems, bloodlines, factions, mythologies, key figures, events both past and future. His mind could see it all if he wished.
But Kaelthar pulled back.
"No…" he whispered with a smirk. "To know everything would make it boring. There is beauty in the unexpected."
Still, he allowed a trickle of knowledge to come through—just enough to understand the structure of this world. Its pantheons. Its rules. Its power hierarchy.
Devils. Angels. Fallen. Dragons. Gods. Sacred Gears. And a boy… a human hybrid destined for something absurd.
Kaelthar chuckled to himself.
"This world is chaotic in all the best ways."
He allowed himself to walk, moving casually along the streets of Kuoh. His presence was cloaked, unnoticed by mortals and even devils. Only animals seemed to notice him—birds taking flight, cats arching their backs, and dogs suddenly going silent in reverence or fear.
He passed a vending machine and stopped, staring at a can of grape soda.
He tilted his head again.
"So mortals drink flavored sugar water for pleasure now?"
He lifted a hand. The machine buzzed as a can dropped without payment. He caught it and inspected it with the curiosity of a god encountering a relic.
A soft laugh escaped him. "They have their joys… I suppose."
Meanwhile, in the Occult Research Club, Rias Gremory frowned slightly.
She felt… something.
A pressure. Brief, almost imperceptible, but immense in its depth.
"Rias?" Akeno called softly, noticing the shift in her friend's posture.
Rias shook her head, smiling faintly. "It's nothing. Just a strange shiver."
But deep down, something primal within her stirred.
Kaelthar's influence was already seeping into the world like warm sunlight after winter. Subtle. Alluring. Irresistible.
Later that day, Kaelthar sat upon a hill overlooking Kuoh Academy, watching the sun begin to set.
He saw them—Rias, Akeno, Sona, Tsubaki. All radiated potential, power, and beauty. Each held their own command over this world's balance. And beneath them… a boy. Clumsy. Lustful. But carrying a powerful dragon within.
Kaelthar's interest piqued.
"A Dragon..."
He could feel the familiar energy coiled within the red gauntlet, dormant but proud. The Red Dragon Emperor—how quaint. A fragment of power carried by mortals like a badge.
He almost felt nostalgic.
Kaelthar closed his eyes. "I think… I will stay here for a while."
This world intrigued him. It had chaos, but not the kind he once fought. It had magic, but also lust. Fire. Emotion. The kind of primal urges even gods once revered.
And its women?
Beautiful. Powerful. Worthy.
A slow smile spread across his face.
That night, he wandered the city alone, clad in a dark cloak with a golden trim. As he passed, lights flickered, and heartbeats quickened—though no one could say why.
He passed by a small shrine.
There, sweeping the steps, was a woman with long white hair and fox-like ears.
Yasaka, Queen of Kyoto.
She paused, glancing toward him. Her breath caught for a second. She couldn't sense him—but she felt him.
A presence so old and vast it reminded her of divine storms and forgotten gods.
Their eyes met briefly.
She offered a small bow, unsure why.
Kaelthar simply smiled.
Deep in the dimensional gap, a certain Red dragon stirred.
"…Something has entered the world," she muttered. "Older than us. Greater than any god or beast."
He didn't know what it was.
But he feared it.
Back in Kuoh, Kaelthar sat upon the rooftop of a tall building as the stars returned to the sky.
He gazed up at them.
"So small. So vast. So… alive."
He exhaled slowly, and even the wind obeyed him.
He would walk this world.
He would learn it.
He would find those who intrigued him—those worth conquering, protecting, or loving. Maybe all three.
The Primordial Dragon did not come to hide.
He came to live.
And the game?
Was about to begin.
