Quirk Gacha System in One Piece

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: First Kill

Chapter 2: First Kill

Okay… now where the hell am I?

Ding!

[System Message: Scanning…]

"Host, from my scanning, you are in the world of One Piece."

Wait. What?

I freeze—well, as much as a floating baby can freeze. Of all the places I could have reincarnated into, it had to be One Piece? The world where people can punch through mountains, split seas, and casually survive explosions?

"System, you can scan things? Then tell me—where's the nearest village or city? I need to find food before I starve."

"Yes, Host. The nearest village is 290 meters away."

"Can you give me a map?"

"Sure. You can follow this [map]."

Immediately, a map appears in my vision. It's not floating in front of me like a hologram—it's directly projected into my brain. I can just… see it.

That sounds terrifying.

"It is, Host. You're lucky I'm not supposed to hurt you."

"Thanks… I guess."

"You should be thankful. Now don't you have somewhere to go?"

Right. The village. Time to float my way there.

Three Hours Later…

This is so slow.

I finally make it to the village gates, but I'm concerned about how sluggish my telekinetic movement is.

"System, why is my movement speed so bad?"

"Because you weigh 12 kilograms. You are a fat baby. The heavier the object, the slower you move it with telekinesis."

"I—what?!"

I'm a fat baby? That's humiliating. But it makes sense—the lighter something is, the easier I can move it.

Good to know.

Now, the next issue—what do I do here? I can't talk since I have baby vocal cords.

Unexpected Trouble

"Ah, hi there, little one."

A man spots me—and immediately panics.

"Randy, what are you doing? That baby is floating! It probably has one of those Devil Fruits!"

"You're right, Tom! If we hand it over to the Marines, they'll raise it into a great soldier, and we'll get a big reward!"

Oh, crap.

They're about to hand me off to the Marines! That's not good.

I don't know where I am in the timeline, but if the Marines get me, who knows what'll happen? Best case scenario? I end up as some random recruit. Worst case? I get experimented on, or some Admiral decides to 'train' me by throwing me off a cliff.

I need to think fast.

A New Plan

"Host, you should try hunting for food. You could sneak into their house, grab supplies, and leave."

"That's stealing."

"But Host, you need EXP. You won't get any training if the Marines take you."

That's a fair point. Unless I land with someone like Garp or Akainu, the Marines aren't exactly known for training babies.

Wait… I have an idea.

I grab a stick with telekinesis and start writing in the dirt.

"Train me first. Give me to the Marines when I'm stronger. More money."

The two men stare at the words, then at each other.

"…Randy, I think we should do it. The weird baby is right. If we give him to the Marines when he's stronger, we'll make more money."

"Yeah, Tom. Let's do it. Okay, baby, we'll be your new family."

The Next Day – First Hunt

Morning comes, and I wake up inside a small wooden house. It's nothing fancy—just a cot, some blankets, and the smell of salt from the ocean.

"Alright, kid," Randy says, grabbing a hunting spear. "If you're gonna get stronger, you need to learn how to hunt."

Tom hands me a small, sharpened stick. It's barely a weapon, but considering I have telekinesis, it doesn't really matter.

"We're going into the forest," Tom explains. "Small game, maybe a boar if we're lucky."

I nod—or at least, I try to. My baby body doesn't exactly move how I want it to yet.

Into the Forest

The forest is dense and humid. The sun barely shines through the thick leaves, and every step we take, I hear insects buzzing and birds rustling the branches.

"Stay close," Randy mutters. "There are predators in these woods."

Predators.

I don't like the sound of that.

We move carefully, looking for anything that could be easy prey. Tom eventually spots a rabbit-like creature, but before he can throw his spear—

A deep, guttural growl rumbles from the bushes.

"Shit."

A beast emerges.

It's big—maybe the size of a lion. Its fur is black and matted, its eyes glowing yellow, and its fangs are too long for its mouth. Its claws dig into the dirt as it locks onto us.

"Blackfang Tiger," Randy whispers. "Damn it, we weren't supposed to run into one of these."

The tiger lets out a snarl and charges.

Randy and Tom dive aside, but I—I float higher into the air.

It's coming straight for me.

"Host, you are in immediate danger. Fight or die."

My brain kicks into overdrive.

No choice. I have to fight.

First Kill

I focus my telekinesis, grabbing the sharpened stick I was given.

The tiger leaps.

I grip the stick with my mind—then start spinning it like a drill bit.

The wooden tip whirls so fast, it becomes a blur.

I launch it forward with all my strength.

The spinning projectile tears through the air like a bullet—

And pierces straight into the beast's chest.

The rapid spinning motion rips through flesh, muscle, and bone, drilling into the creature's heart like a power tool.

The tiger lets out a final, choked snarl before its body collapses mid-air. It crashes into the dirt, its legs twitching—then finally stops moving.

Silence.

I hover above the corpse, my breathing ragged.

[ Ding! First Kill Achieved! ]

[ +10 EXP Earned (10/100 to Level 2) ]

Randy and Tom stare at me in shock.

"Holy shit, kid," Tom mutters. "You just killed a goddamn Blackfang Tiger."

Randy lets out a low whistle. "Maybe we won't need to train you after all."

I barely register their words.

I just proved something today.

I can survive in this world.

I can fight.

And with more EXP and more rolls…

I will get stronger.
