Chapter 2376: Getting started
Sam dove into work immediately.
The next morning, he had the first meeting with one of the elders of the Amun academy. He is the father of one of the students that Sam killed.
Sam and elder sat in silence facing each other. The elder looked like he wanted to kill Sam with just his gaze.
"I know it is not too sensible of me to rush you, but I have a big day ahead. I even made plans for my lunch. So, if we can finish this meeting and sign the contract, then we can go on our merry ways."
The elder gritted his teeth and placed the documents on the table.
"These are the properties that were under my son's name. As per the contract, you will get one-third of them."
He then placed another pile on the table.
"These are the ones that my son was supposed to inherit. You will get your share in this as per the contract.
As you can guess, we are not comfortable giving it all to you directly. So, I would like to negotiate to see if you are willing to accept different property or other resources."
"Okay, let's start with the negotiations."
Just like that a heated discussion was triggered. Sam now understood why Trike made appointments with such large intervals in between.
He just assumed it is to keep Sam in the Duat region longer. But from the looks of it, he might have anticipated this response.
The elder tried to get away with handing over some trashy property and litigated property to Sam. But Sam who knew most of the information slipped past and finally negotiated to get whatever he wanted.
He became richer in just a few hours.
After that, Sam went to lunch at one of the restaurants of the Duat region which is still operating. Since the ban has not been lifted, not a lot of businesses are operating. This one is run by one of the fourth graders, so it is still open.
After finishing the mean, Sam went back to his residence.
He set up a concealment formation and disappeared from there, leaving behind a decoy energy signature in case someone is spying on him, which he assumed is happening real time.
He reappeared in the secret room of the hub. He opened the special passage to access the energy reservoirs underneath the hub.
He manually activated one of the reservoirs so that the artificial cores will be generated. Of course, he need to make a converter mechanism before doing it.
The neutral energy cores are good enough for Stone's purpose, since Sam was making a pure warrior at that time. Stone's main focus is on physical strength and energy control. But the prince of darkness needs a lot more and those requirements are way damn specific.
The converter mechanism helps him get what he wants.
It took a decent time for him to complete all the preparations.
After that is done, he went to the first official meeting with the other four elders and Trike. The rest of the kids were sent away and only the three Sam picked were left. All three of them were put in separate rooms with heavily constructed formations.
They are isolated completely and were kept in optimum environment.
Sam drafted up some plans and gave them to the three elders.
"First day of work, I am sure all of you have way too many questions.

To be honest, I am way too tired answer any questions at the moment. I just hope that your questions will be answered while you are working.
If you can't even understand then, we can discuss further."
"Discuss the questions then?"
One of the elders asked.
"No, discuss whether you should be on the team." Sam said nonchalantly. Despite the angry looks, he continued.
"Let's talk about the first candidate. Open the plan of action written for him."
They did as he told.
The document is long and is almost like a book.
"Memorize everything and destroy it in front of my eyes, before you leave the room. None of it should be revealed to anyone else outside. This stays in between the six of us.
The first candidate is a mage. A necromancer to be precise with a dark elemental core.
No constitution, no specialty in his spiritual core. Average talent, average potential. The only reason he even made to the Astral plane at his age is because of his overwork and the fortuitous encounters he accidentally gained.
His potential is low…"
"Way too low. Too low to even amount to anything in the academy realm, much less be suitable to be a prince of darkness." One of the elders interrupted Sam.
Sam paused for a moment and looked at him calmly and spoke.
"Average means, more room to improve.
His spiritual core aside, being a mage, his body is weak.
According to the plan, we first need to strengthen it. I prepared the physical training plan. One of you will oversee it. It should be done in a controlled environment. He should meet all the required targets within the pre-determined deadline.
I am going to hold the person in charge accountable if he doesn't.
While his physical training is going through, he will be going through a series of treatments for his physical body as well.
The medicine has been prescribed. I heard one of you is skilled in potion making and pill making. You should take charge of that and administer the treatment as prescribed.
Whether making the medicine or executing the treatment, any error and you are accountable. If you are not comprehending any of it, you can ask me, but do no make a mistake.
Who is the necromancer here?"
One of the elders raised his hand.
"You are in charge of creating specters. That is for the phase two of the plan. Still, you should get started on it, if you don't want to waste any time.
One thing about these specters though, the people you extract the souls from should satisfy specific requirements.
They should all be from the creatures that have dark element and dark element only.
The souls should all belong to the Divine plane initiation initial stage. Nothing more nothing less.
The creatures should not specialize is any form of soul arts or soul type constitutions.
No creature should have a necromancy skill.
They should not belong to any undead creature.
Ensure these requirements are met. And the soul energy of any specter should not exceed the limit of Divine plane initiation.
As usual, if they miss the mark, you are accountable. The specters should also be made within the specified time limit.
Now that makes you three elders. The fourth elder, I need you to be in charge of the resource gathering. All the resources are listed down in the order of their importance as well as their requirement in each phase.
The timeline in which they will be required is also mentioned. Apart from that, the requirements for processing these are also mentioned.
I can't be bothered to do most of those menial tasks. You are in charge of them.
You do them yourself or get them done by someone, I don't give a crap. But I need you to bring them to me on time with no delay. Or…"
"I will be accountable."
"Thank you. Now, on to the second candidate.
The first phase of this guy is a bit different compared to the first one. This guy doesn't have a constitution either, however his soul is a bit different…"
Sam kept on going about the requirements for the three candidates and assigned a mountain of tasks to the elder.
The night was deep before they managed to grasp every detail of what they are supposed to do.
After that, they immediately slipped into their tasks as they read the plans in detail.
Sam and Trike are left alone in the room.
"That is quite a plan. I never thought that I would hear the words, change the physical muscle density, change the bone marrow so casually. Any time I heard those words, I am sure I ended up laughing out loud. No doubt about it.
The way you put those tasks as well… they would have been brushed away if they were even uttered anywhere else."
"I don't know what kind of people you are hanging out with, but you need to change your social circle. If you are surrounded by people who can only laugh and brush off your insane ideas, then your imagination will never reach a point where you would dare try them.
You would be limited by the thoughts and ideas projected by the idiots around you."
"Is that your philosophy for growth?"
"No, that is philosophy I offer up as unsolicited advice. That doesn't apply to me."
"Why?"
"Because no matter how brilliant the people around me are, I already consider them all as idiots. Brilliant ones, but idiots still. So, this won't apply to me."
