Chapter 2436: Weak points



Sam's aura changed.

In his eyes, all the arrows that came at him suddenly became slow. Everything and everyone, including Imari's shooting became slower. They appeared normal in his eyes.

Because at that moment, his brain was working at that speed.

Since the barrage of the energy arrows came at him, his brain was in a constant state of rapid calculation. He was figuring the movement, velocity, the stability of their energy concentration, everything there is no about the arrows, he absorbed.

And he did it, while blocking and deflecting them.

If not for the recoil style, Sam is sure that he would have been hurt badly. The void style, ripple style and even repel style will only have limited effect on this. He was glad that he picked up the recoil style from white.

With an explosive sound, the arrow was sent down and he was sent up.

He spun to the side, dodged and finally hit the third one.

He hit it exactly at the stem of the arrow, at its exact center and it didn't explode like the previous ones and he wasn't sent too far away.

The arrow deflected smoothly. It didn't pack the same punch at all. It went down and came in the way of another arrow, Imari just shot. Both arrows, collided, but didn't explode. They deflected in two different directions, hitting two different arrows. Now, four arrows moved in four different directions, continuing the chain reaction.

Imari was stunned as within the same fraction of second that she shot, the arrows that should have kept Sam busy, suddenly collided against each other, created an open path.

Sam's body glowed with the golden light. The aura of the golden sun crow intensified. The bloodline attack was triggered.

*BOOM*

The flames spewed out of his mouth and they turned into a raging inferno. Imari lost all her senses. Her eyes were enveloped by the golden flames and she couldn't sense anything other than that heat.

Even her spiritual sense is locked. She kicked the air and flew back, at the fastest speed possible. At the same, she pulled the bowstring and conjured an arrow. This one appeared different than the ones she shot before.

Four strands of energy expanded from her arm and intertwined to become a single arrow. And when he shot it, the arrow spun rapidly. When it travelled a couple of meters, the intertwined for arrows, opened up and separated, moving in four diagonal directions.

However, they were still connected with energy threads, created a net of swords.

The four arrows, moved in curves and attacked the incoming inferno from four sides, while the energy net contained it.

*BOOM*

The four arrows that curved, met at the center of the inferno and closed the net as they exploded.

The central explosion sent the fire away.

Imari heaved a sigh and was about to nock another arrow, getting ready to attack Sam. However, a golden flash came from the middle of the explosion. Before she knew it, she saw the giant flaming golden staff zooming into her eyes.

*BOOM*

She flew away like a meteor, with a tail of golden flames. Her whole body felt like it was just dipped in a volcano.

She wanted to stabilize herself, she repositioned her body and was about decelerate, but...

*BOOM*

Another hit, this time on her back, a few inches below her nape. A wave of shock went through her body. The fire elemental energy seeped into it and sent a sharp burning sensation throughout her spine.

Her body froze, she couldn't even reposition herself. At the same time, a few golden flaming strands appeared in her glowing hands and the bow.

She couldn't get a hold of herself, she couldn't control her body being sent flying. She couldn't control the trajectory or the speed. That's why, when she saw another golden flash coming in front of her, bringing Sam along with his staff, the only reaction she could give was widening her eyes.

*BOOM*

Sam's face didn't have a smile, and he didn't have any hint of playfulness he displayed a few minutes before. He was dead serious. He didn't hold back and combined the physical and spiritual energy prowess into the attack of his staff.

His fusion body appeared condensed and taut as he swung the staff again.

He didn't aim for any obvious vital spot. Instead the staff landed a few inches below her armpit on her right torso.

Imari's eyes widened like saucers. She lost her breath. Fire elemental energy with void style seeped into her body and exploded.

*BOOM*

Her torso tore open. The condensed energy on her left hand cracked and broke like an egg shell.

She lost her flight and was about to fall off. Sam switched to light fusion, appeared in her path of descent, changed back to fire element and delivered a spinning blow aimed at her stomach.

She flew into the sky with the golden tail of flames her bow collapsed and she lost consciousness. Her body is streaked with fire elemental energy, ravaging inside. Sam stood there as he watched her flying high, and then falling down.

He panted heavily.

Even though it felt just like three blows without any special moves behind, Sam put all of his energy into it. The last one in particular, he charged a lot of energy with ripple style.

As he waited there, the fire elemental energy spread wildly, invading her meridian network, starting from her stomach. Even if she wanted to gather her energy and stabilize herself, she

couldn't.

The blow he landed on her spine, made her upper body movement ineffective. Her archery technique, draws spiritual energy in a way, that it follows the muscle movement of an archer. Which means, the back muscles.

The spinal blow, disrupted that network and made her useless for a moment.

Then, he hit her on the torso, from the front. The hit was diagonally upwards, targeting her heart. That was critical to her movement technique.

To facilitate uniform speed and movement all over her body, she uses the heart to circulate the energy following the blood flow. That also helped with her recovery, usually. But now it

was gone.

The third and final blow was on the open meridian, a glaring flaw of her usual cultivation

technique.

That meridian point in her stomach was one of the nexus points. Sam hit there with the ripple style. The fire elemental energy that should disperse in the ripple fashion, found the usual pathways that are connected to that nexus.

The fire energy spread through her body and is ravaging her. Every muscle and bone is torn

and wrecked.

Sam based all of this on his understanding of her cultivation technique. Information. The information that she voluntarily gave during her practice in the hub. He took advantage of it. Some warm up, some set up, a distraction and finally three decisive blows that landed after

taking that small gap.

It was a decisive battle.

That's why, Sam gave it his all and won.

Imari fell down rapidly, Sam followed her descent and landed the final blow on her back.

*BOOM*

She fell on the ground, with her body mangled completely. Leaving a huge crater. He didn't care whether she is alive or dead. What he wanted from this is the victory.

He turned to look at the other battles and a smirk appeared on his face.

The beasts are handling themselves well. Usually, beasts are always stronger when it comes to dealing with people at the same level. And some candidates are indeed same level as Sam and

the beasts.

Yanwu, Sky, and Raiju are handling people at the peak of second grade. Of course, they are not handling them alone. They don't have the same level of information and technique that Sam

has.

Compared to him, their attacks are limited. However, to use that information to the fullest,

Sam had already made preparations.

The solution was simple.

Shadow mice.

At Yanwu's front, he activated light fusion and moved at the top speed. He didn't even get hit

one time. The other party was able to time the speed, but wasn't able to land one, because of Yanwu's unpredictable movement.

And whenever he wanted to use some high level move to create an area level damage and stop Yanwu, things went sideways. A shadow mouse, comes out of nowhere and attacked him.

The opponent despite putting pressure on Yanwu, was only able to do just that. Put pressure. Nothing more, nothing less.

Meanwhile, Yanwu on the other hand... had full freedom when attacking because of the shadow mouse's help.
