Chapter 295: Amber Jacobs
It sounded like a whole day had passed, but it had to be remembered that I had just began my exploits in Detroit in the late hours of the morning.
By the time I left Quintell Abulak, it was past 2 and by the time the fallen knight returned, the sun was gone from it's peak and wishing goodbyes.
Denise Harther my POA with an ass that stood at the top with that of Martha and Nina was set to return the day after tomorrow, that day being Friday and with today just being Wednesday, I discussed with Catherine which club I should attend.
"Sir a man of you standings should not be seen in such places."
"What do u mean, Many billionaires go to clubs."
"Yes sir, but not your type. You kind of investments distinguish from other billionaires, especially give your association with google, you have a reputation to maintain.
All it takes is one accident and your name will be soiled."
To be more specific, Catherine was trying to dissuade me from going to the club, in fact the women was trying to dissuade me from leaving the house entirely.
Only god knows what Denise told her.
"What if I go to a high end club, a real luxurious one, somewhere I can make connections with other billionaires."
Catherine's lips thinned and I chuckled as I had an idea, a mischievous grin on my face.
"Alright, I'll stay home, but you have to suck my dick and give me a magnificent ride."
"I'm married" The woman lifted her left hand to show me ring.
"That sucks, I don't need to see underneath to know you have a great body."
"Thank you."
"Catherine, I'm bored, get me...."
Out of nowhere my phone suddenly began ringing and pausing in my speech, I picked up the call.
"Hello Marcus" A soft alluring voice flowed, familiarity and excitement embedded in it.
Thrown off by the greeting, I took the phone away from my ears and looked at the number on my screen reading and finding it totally foreign.
"Hello. Do you I know you."
"No yet. I'm Amber Jacobs, Laura Jacobs daughter, one of the shareholders at Ford Motors."
Amber's tone was confident, full of surety that I would know her, at least her mother.
My forehead creased in thought and then an unbelievable thought crossed my mind.
"Is your mother blond."
"Yes."
"Old?"
"She prefers the term matured."
"Haughty attitude with head raised like a peacock."
"Considering I'm her daughter it wouldn't hurt for you to use more polite terms."
I went silent foe some second not thinking of Amber's words but of the possibility that what I was thinking might actually be true, finding myself unable to conceive.
"Hello, Marcus, are you still there" Amber's soothing voice flowed.
"Yes. and I'm wondering why you of all people are calling me, you know I'm not on good terms with your mother right."
"Yeah, is that suppose to bother me."
"What do you want."
"Sky Murthag is throwing a party on his new Yacht tonight, you want to come."
"No"
"You don't know who Sky Murthag is do you.
"Enlighten me."
"He's touted the richest billionaire under 30 and most interestingly is engaged to one of the daughter's from the main line of the Midaford family"
"And I should be interested because?"
"Because by now at least with Mrs Harther by your side you should understand you need friends.
She can't be the only one socializing, there is only so much a POA can do."
"I'm bad at socializing" I didn't bother to hide.
"That's why you have me."Amber proudly said.
"Why are you trying to help me."
"My mother is not too bright and she easily let's herself be a puppet. Where she saw a chance to make an enemy, I see a chance to make a friend."
"It's rare to see a woman who doesn't want to smite her mother's enemies"
"If you are calling me rare, then thank you for the compliment."
"I am. But I still want more. If you know the full story then you'll know your mother heavily slighted me.
Preying on me when I was weak."
"When you were weak ehh, I like that statement.
So tell me Mr. Lawson, now that you're strong, what do you want."
"I would imagine that your body does not do your voice a disservice."
"Hahaha" Amber let out a beautiful laugh.
"It doesn't at all, but Mr. Lawson I'm engaged."
"Then why am I the one being invited."
"I can't conduct business with just one individual. I need multiple customers"
"When does the party begin?"
"9pm"
"Come pick me up by 10:30"
"Okay, I'll see you then." Amber sweetly said and then the call was ended.
"Look at that, I got a date" I focused on Catherine who was standing some distance away from me.
"Who is the lucky girl."
Thinking of the call I had just gotten, I uncrossed my leg in thought, mulling on what lay in store for me aboard Sly Murthag's yacht and then I focused on Catherine.
"Her name is Amber Jacobs, she's the daughter of an enemy.
I've been invited to a party on Yacht.
Can I trust you to get me the best of clothes."
"Sir, I think a bit more thought should be given to this"
"I wasn't making a request Catherine."
My next words had Catherine stiffen and though reluctant, she nodded and exited leaving me to my thoughts.
If Sky Murthag really was something of the richest billionaire beneath the age of 30, then it meant I was going to interact with the future shakers of the United States and perhaps even the world.
A strange feeling went though me and then I shrugged. As much as I had agreed to the meeting resonating with Denise's teachings, thinking of what I could gain from the people at the party filled me with a bit of weakness.
Sometime later my outfit was brought to me, and I invited a critical eye to appraise my looks.
"We just nearly got ambushed, I believed the last thing we want to be doing is going to gathering filled with the younglings of our opponents ."
"Are you saying all the people of Detroit are our enemies."
"No, but…"
"Don't think too much about this, whatever trap they set, I would be ready to overturn.
Now how do I like."
