Rebirth as a Time Dragon

Chapter 519: Chapter 519: The Lord of the Nine Hells Takes Action

"Then, become me, and return with a new face."

Facing the sun-like eyes of the divine spirit.

The Dawnlord took a deep breath, his resolute gaze unwavering.

He had failed too many times and had even been mockingly called the Great Evil God of Dawn. Despite maintaining a bright and sunny disposition on the surface, deep down, the Dawnlord found it hard to accept such a title. After all, he was a god of order and being labeled an evil god was deeply unsettling.

Becoming Amanator would grant the Dawnlord far greater power than he currently possessed.

However, every power comes at a cost.

This power demanded the sacrifice of a significant part of the Dawnlord's self, merging with Amanator's divine spirit.

Initially, the Dawnlord had hesitated, but now he was determined.

"Amanator is me, and Lathander is also me."

"I am the Lord of a Billion Lights, and I am the Eternal Sun!"

With a hum, the Dawnlord, his face resolute, transformed into a golden dawn and merged with the Astral floating island formed from Amanator's corpse.

Instantly, strands of light began to emanate from the island's surface. In the vast, silvery void of the Astral Plane, the island's form silently shifted, gradually taking on the appearance of the godly spirit as seen by the Dawnlord.

.

Unbeknownst to Garon, events were unfolding with the Dawnlord in the Astral Plane.

Even if he were aware, Garon would have little reaction.

After all, he had no personal grudge against the Dawnlord and had never antagonized the original sole Sun God, Amanator.

Moreover, times had changed; the authority over the sun had been divided.

Even if Amanator were resurrected, he could only control the domains now belonging to the Dawnlord. He would find it challenging to regain the full might of his prime, remaining strong but never reclaiming his position as the pinnacle deity of the multiverse.

The God of Light and the God of Sun and Fire would certainly not relinquish their domains.

These two were not to be trifled with either.

Nevertheless, the resurrection of Amanator was occurring in secrecy, unknown to them all.

Returning to the matter at hand.

Garon had decided not to repair the ravaged prime material world himself.

He needed some time to rest and recover.

Though he appeared fine on the surface, Garon was profoundly exhausted. His reserves of temporal power were nearly depleted, and his physical strength, magical energy, and mental stamina were all heavily drained. The Primeval Sun God was indeed a formidable adversary, even among pseudo-high divine powers.

Successfully sealing it had taken a significant toll on Garon.

In his current state, dealing with another pseudo-medium divine power Savage God like Alkalune would be challenging, making rest a pressing need.

The best place for rest was undoubtedly the Heroic Domain of Dragon Court, where the Pantheon stood tall.

With a slight tremor of his wings, the river of time around Garon rippled with tiny waves. At the same time, his body became ethereal, departing from the devastated prime material world.

Garon left the prime material world and returned to the Heroic Domain, entering the Eternal Hall of Heroes within Dragon Court.

In his dragon lair, Yuna, who had returned from the Elemental Plane of Air, turned her head.

She gazed at the silver dragon, sensing his weakened state, and a hint of concern appeared on her faceplate.

"Garon, you don't seem to be in great shape."

In front of his familiar companion, the silver dragon lifted his head slightly, showing a hint of pride, his tail gently swaying as he said, "These injuries are nothing. Yuna, guess which Savage God I sealed?"

Yuna blinked, tilting her head in thought, and then said, "I don't know much about Savage Gods."

Garon smiled slightly and said, "Just guess from the ones you do know."

Since Yuna had been hurt by the Primeval Sun God before, her first thought was of him.

Watching Garon's expression, Yuna suddenly realized and exclaimed, "Did you seal the Primeval Sun God?"

Garon nodded and lifted his head higher.

Although he maintained an appearance of calm and depth among the gods' praises, deep down, Garon felt a bit of pride. Sealing the Primeval Sun God with his pseudo-medium divine power, defeating a pseudo-high divine power, was no small feat. This was something he could openly share with his companion.

"Smart."

As he spoke, Garon flipped his dragon claw, producing the temporal amber.

Inside the temporal amber, a small space, fixed in the Corridor of Time, showed the Primeval Sun God endlessly repeating its actions, like a performance.

Yuna squeezed closer, stretching her neck to peer into the temporal amber, her face full of curiosity.

Upon seeing the scene inside, Yuna's eyes lit up. She turned to her mighty partner and couldn't help but say, "Wow, you really captured that ugly creature. You're amazing, Garon."

The silver dragon wagged his tail, his eyes narrowing slightly in a pleased smile as he modestly said, "Nothing special."

"How can you say that? You're incredible, don't be so humble."

Yuna, noticing Garon's apparent enjoyment of the praise, exaggerated her admiration, saying with a playful grin, "You truly deserve the title of Lord of Dragon Court, the Eternal and Time Dragon, the Dragon God of Time, the Lord of Heroes, and the dream dragon of countless female dragons, the great Garon Aurelian."

"I really admire you."

Her over-the-top flattery made Garon blush slightly.

After some playful banter with Garon, Yuna looked eager and said, "Garon, once you're fully recovered, I want to go to the prime material world and teach a Savage God a lesson too. Let's see who's better."

Hearing this, Garon nodded and said, "Sure."

Garon wouldn't overprotect his companion. Yuna, as his partner, was no delicate flower. In the prime material world, she could handle Savage Gods below the pseudo-high divine power level without much trouble.

Besides, what dragon willingly lives under someone else's protection? Not even their own mate.

In the dragon society, the status of male and female dragons is truly equal.

Garon then prepared to rest.

But just before he settled down, his gaze shifted slightly, and he took out the temporal amber he had just put away.

Inside the temporal amber.

Within the small chunk of the prime material world, now part of the Corridor of Time, the Primeval Sun God once again shouted, "Garon Aurelian, mark my words, you will be buried in my darkness."

There was a subtle change in its words.

Though very similar, Garon keenly noticed the difference.

Moreover, the Primeval Sun God, while still in the cycle, occasionally showed expressions of doubt, and its actions were no longer entirely consistent, becoming varied.

"What's happening?"

Garon quickly analyzed the anomaly.

Glancing around the dragon's lair, Garon's eyes narrowed.

Garon had now left the prime material world and returned to the Heroic Domain, an outer plane.

Here, the Primeval Sun God could unleash its full primeval might.

Even though a small part of the prime material world was sealed within the temporal amber, it wasn't the complete world, allowing the Primeval Sun God to gradually regain awareness and realize its entrapment in the endless cycle of the Corridor of Time.

When that happened, facing a fully restored pseudo-high divine power Primeval Sun God, Garon would be unable to keep it sealed with his current strength.

After a moment of thought, Garon, carrying the temporal amber, returned to the prime material world.

.

The Metallic World.

Under a sky formed by a metallic curtain, the silver dragon leapt from the river of time, hovering high above.

Below was a forest of steel formed by clusters of metal pillars.

The thickest pillar connected the sky and the earth, covered in orderly mechanical engravings. A faint blue light flickered like veins, interspersed with various magical runes.

With a hum, amid faint mechanical sounds.

The armor on the central mechanical pillar cracked open, and a pulsating metallic cube emerged as if it were breathing.

"Master, the metallic world welcomes your arrival."

The metallic cube, imbued with the will of the Mechanical Grandmaster, pulsed slightly as it spoke.

Garon nodded lightly and immediately produced the temporal amber containing the Primeval Sun God, saying, "I will place this temporal amber here. It seals a Savage God. Guard it well."

Considering the Primeval Sun God as his trophy, Garon was unwilling to let other deities interfere. He decided to leave the Primeval Sun God in the Metallic World for now and reclaim it as a prized possession once he ascended to pseudo-high divine power.

Garon had marked the temporal amber with his seal.

If anything unusual occurred, he would sense it immediately and could arrive in an instant. For now, leaving it in a prime material world guarded by the Mechanical Grandmaster was secure.

Savage Gods invade prime material worlds primarily to disrupt and undermine the sources of divine power, targeting areas rich in divine faith.

The denser the atmosphere of divine worship, the more the Savage Gods covet it.

Thus, the metallic world, filled with metal creations and devoid of faith, was safe. Attacking it offered little benefit, so no Savage Gods had specifically targeted it.

"Rest assured."

The Mechanical Grandmaster responded concisely.

Garon nodded and asked, "How's your battle going?"

A significant portion of the Mechanical Grandmaster's consciousness was placed in the Mechanical Dragon God it created. With the large-scale invasion of the prime material world by Savage Gods

, the Mechanical Dragon God, as part of the Dragon God pantheon, was actively engaging in battle against a pseudo-weak divine power Savage God.

"The battle continues. I estimate a seventy-six percent chance of capturing the target."

The Mechanical Grandmaster replied.

It was keenly interested in Savage Gods and actively sought to capture them as research subjects.

Garon then inquired about the Mechanical Grandmaster's activities related to the Blood War in the Abyss.

After listening to the Mechanical Grandmaster's responses, Garon pondered.

"The demon lords and princes in the Abyss are engulfed in war, and most of the Blood War forces from the Endless Plains have been recalled. The devil forces have taken control of large areas of the Endless Plains."

During the demon lords' war for kingship.

The devils of the Nine Hells, seizing the opportunity, established numerous military bases in the vacated Endless Plains. The landscape was now dotted with devil fortresses and strongholds, heavily fortified.

Originally, the Blood War between demons and devils was not confined to the Abyss.

It included battlefields in the Hells of Baator, the Howling Abyss, the Fields of Asphodel, and other lower planes.

However, the devils, under the strict hierarchy of the Nine Hells, had changed their Blood War strategy. Consolidating their forces from other lower planes, they flooded into the Endless Plains while the demon lords were preoccupied with their internal struggles.

The Eight Dukes of Hell had all descended into the Abyss.

Several devil archdukes, including Duke Bael, had also established fortresses in the Endless Plains, continually infusing it with the essence of Hell, transforming the land.

In the current first layer of the Abyss, devils roamed unchecked.

"Lord of the Nine Hells... is he also aiming to influence the Abyssal war for kingship?"

Garon mused silently.

Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Hells, is a deeply enigmatic devil king residing in the deepest layer, Nessus. He is the undisputed ruler of the Nine Hells.

Unlike the independent, fragmented rule of demon lords.

The devil society is rigidly hierarchical, with upper devils having absolute control over lower devils. All devils, including the archdukes from the first to the eighth layers, the generals, and the devil princes, follow the will of the Lord of the Nine Hells.

Even though every devil harbors ambitions to replace the Lord of the Nine Hells, with countless schemes and plots to achieve this.

Until they succeed, they all obey his commands.

This hierarchical and orderly system enables the devils of the Nine Hells to hold their own against the demons.

However, if a demon king were to rise and unify the Abyss... the devils would be the first to face the demon king's wrath.

Crucially, given the current state of the war for kingship in the Abyss, with demon lords and princes driven mad with ambition, it seemed inevitable that a demon king would emerge.

Now, the Lord of the Nine Hells, sensing the threat, had taken preemptive action by consolidating forces and advancing into the Endless Plains.

The already tumultuous waters of the Abyss had become even more unfathomable, with undercurrents surging.

Venturing into it unprepared could lead to one's downfall.

"A chaotic Abyss with devils also intervening."

"The war between gods and Savage Gods nearing total conflict in the prime material world."

"..."

"This truly is an era of chaos."

Garon shook his head, sighing.

He wondered how different it would have been to be born in an era of peace, where he could ascend to pseudo-high divine power peacefully and roam freely across the endless alternate timelines.

As it stands, Garon was now caught in the whirlpool of chaos.

One could argue that he had contributed to its creation; the recent turmoil in the multiverse began with the War of Glory between dragons and elves, a conflict that was initiated for Garon's sake.

"Forget the Abyss for now; it's better to focus on the Savage Gods."

The chaos in the Abyss was something the gods welcomed.

If not for the resurgence of the Savage Gods, the gods would already be trying to influence the ongoing wars in the Abyss.

Likewise, the demon lords rejoiced at the gods' conflict with the Savage Gods, celebrating each deity's fall.

For now, neither side intended to meddle in the other's battlefield.

After temporarily placing the temporal amber in the Metallic World, Garon left and returned to the Eternal Hall of Heroes.

In his lair, the silver dragon spread his wings over the heaps of treasure.

Garon took out many of his collected temporal ambers, placing them among the piles of treasure.

These ambers, containing divine saints, cosmic beasts from the prime material world, monstrous beings from alternate timelines, rare artifacts, and bizarre Savage Gods, were all extraordinary and unique treasures.

Resting upon his hoard of gold, silver, and priceless temporal ambers, Garon slept peacefully and contentedly.

At the same time, the river of time's flow and the life energy within the Heroic Domain intertwined, continuously pouring into the silver dragon, restoring his strength and enhancing his physique.

After intense battles, Garon's body often grew more efficiently and rapidly.

Experiencing combat is undoubtedly a faster path to growth than perpetual sleep.

Of course, the premise is that the battles are evenly matched, life-and-death struggles fought without reserve.

While Garon recuperated through sleep, the battles between the Savage Gods and deities in the prime material world raged on, growing ever more fierce.

The prime material plane, housing countless worlds, was being increasingly devastated by the relentless onslaught of divine and primal powers. The planar fabric grew unstable, gradually spiraling out of control.
