Rebirth in Journey to the West: Sun Wukong

"I wonder who exactly is the mysterious owner of this palace, able to fit such a vast space inside a small palace with Mount Sumeru in a Mustard Seed!"

Just like Sun Wukong and his companions, Kun Yang the Holy King and his group were extremely curious and impressed by the identity of the palace's owner. Even with their Domain Emperor Realm perspective, seeing such a spectacle left them shocked, making it unimaginable to guess what heights the owner reached in their lifetime.

Such a powerful figure could also be erased by history, leaving only this empty palace behind, truly sorrowful, truly lamentable!

Upon hearing this, Chang Geng the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King felt a strong urgency, stopping their complaints to follow Kun Yang the Holy King swiftly past three massive stone slabs, reaching the stone bridge leading to the fourth huge slab.

"Hmm? There seem to be signs of battle here!"

Kun Yang the Holy King halted, gazing at the edge of the stone bridge, squinting slightly, and crouching down.

The stone bridge was extremely sturdy; even when Sun Wukong had previously battled crab-bodied fish-tailed monsters from the Lava Sea on the bridge, it remained undamaged but left some marks, which Kun Yang the Holy King noticed.

"Indeed, these are signs of battle. Could Sun Wukong have had a confrontation here?"

Chang Geng the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King examined the area Kun Yang the Holy King pointed out, exchanging glances and speculating.

"The palace is empty; whom could they have fought? Unless..."

Kun Yang the Holy King's gaze shifted beyond to the Lava Sea, where suddenly a powerful force erupted, causing the entire Lava Sea to boil.

"Not good, there's something in the lava!"

Kun Yang the Holy King's face changed drastically, retreating swiftly, but Chang Geng the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King were less fortunate. Reacting a bit slower, they were struck by two fire columns emerging from the Lava Sea and nearly fell right off the stone bridge into the Lava Sea.

"What is that?"

Shouting chaotically, Chang Geng the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King frantically slapped away the fiery sparks on their bodies, covered in scorched markings; anger fuming within them almost erupted externally!

Since entering the palace, they've faced constant setbacks, nearly losing their lives to formations prohibitions and restrains in a corridor, barely escaping, then nearly choosing a deadly path.

Now, upon navigating the right path to the Lava Sea, thinking they could finally relax, they were attacked again, causing their anger to peak.

"Roar~!"

"Roar~!"

Two furious roars resonated, as two identical crab-bodied, fish-tailed monsters rushed out from the Lava Sea, one being the same monster repelled by Luo Bai, its sword scar yet healing, though not bleeding anymore, the injury remained clear, with sections still exposing white bones.

"What kind of monster is this?"

Chang Geng the Holy King widened his eyes as the two crab-bodied, fish-tailed monsters unleashed an onslaught against them, countless fire columns from the Lava Sea charging massively towards them.

"Be careful, the lava's temperature is extremely high. Don't get it on you, or you'll suffer injuries!"

Chang Geng the Holy King shouted, dodging quickly, wielding a large sword to launch an attack at the injured crab-bodied, fish-tailed monster.

"Is that even necessary to say?"

Kun Yang the Holy King's face darkened. Though he hadn't been hit by fire columns from the Lava Sea, seeing Chang Geng the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King's earlier frantic actions made it clear the lava contained incredible heat; being struck by the fire columns would be unbearable even for them!

Dodging the fire column attacks, Kun Yang the Holy King and Ge Long the Holy King also attacked the crab-bodied, fish-tailed monsters. Throughout their journey, they'd accumulated much frustration, longing for an outlet. These two monsters appearing here to assault them was the perfect opportunity to vent their anger.

"Damn it, even furless beasts dare to seek trouble with me! Do you truly think this Holy King is made of clay? I'll definitely chop you into pieces and make crab head soup today!"

Ge Long the Holy King wielded a hammer ferociously, shouting angrily while attacking.

"Ge Long, these monsters have crab heads, with only fish tails and no fish heads..."

Chang Geng the Holy King softly reminded, drawing a fierce glare from Ge Long the Holy King.

"Then make crab head soup, make fish tail stew!"

"But what nonsense is that, Chang Geng! Can't you just focus on defeating these monsters instead of babbling?"

Chang Geng the Holy King shut his mouth, realizing Ge Long the Holy King was on the verge of bursting; it was wise not to provoke him now, better to concentrate on handling the crab-bodied, fish-tailed monsters!

Joining forces, the two crab-bodied, fish-tailed monsters soon couldn't withstand them.

Despite holding some geographic advantage, one monster was previously injured by Luo Bai. It quickly received significant focus from Kun Yang the Holy King and his team; seven or eight out of ten attacks targeted it, worsened its injuries rapidly, and a fierce sword strike from Kun Yang the Holy King sliced it in half, separating crab body and fish tail.
