Reborn as a Saiyan in marvel

Chapter 68: Domination Part 2

Just as Barda finished her report, the ground trembled.

It wasn't just a mere shake, it was a warning, a deep, guttural resonance that rippled through the very fabric of the battlefield.

Both women instinctively turned toward the Fortress of Solitude, a terrible sense of dread creeping into their chests like a poisoned claw sinking into their souls.

Then—

"WHOOSH!"

A searing red beam of concentrated destruction tore through the entrance of the Fortress, sending shards of crystalline Sunstone flying in all directions. The ice-laden battlefield was bathed in blood-red light, the sheer heat melting the frost as the fortress doors were obliterated in an instant.

As the smoke and dust settled, the horrifying sight was revealed.

A vast expanse of crystal and carnage stretched before them, the once-sacred Kryptonian refuge now a slaughterhouse, littered with the mutilated corpses of countless Parademons. Their bodies were shredded, scorched, broken beyond recognition, a testament to the sheer fury of the one who had awakened.

And at the center of it all, floating amidst the carnage, was him.

Superman.

His black suit shimmered under the sun's light, the silver emblem on his chest glinting like a symbol of vengeance itself. But what drew the eye, what unsettled even the battle-hardened warriors before him, was the deep crimson glow in his eyes, a light that burned with pure, undiluted hatred.

In his grip was a lifeless body—

Cyborg.

Victor Stone's form hung limply, his cybernetic components flickering weakly, his once-unstoppable strength now forever silenced. He had fought, bled, and died to hold off the Parademons long enough for Superman to awaken. And now, his sacrifice was engraved into history, his body cradled in the arms of his fallen comrade.

Superman's gaze lifted and found them.

Barda and Myrina felt their blood run cold.

That look.

That look was death itself.

A low hum filled the air—

Then, "WENG!"

A massive Boom-Tube roared to life beside the two women, its swirling energy illuminating the battlefield with its chaotic, twisting glow. From within its depths, a titan emerged—Darkseid.

The Lord of Apokolips stepped forward, his colossal form exuding an aura of absolute dominance, his presence warping the air around him like gravity itself bowed in reverence.

His lips curled into a calm, knowing smirk as his crimson gaze met the burning hatred of the Kryptonian.

"Ah… the Kryptonian awakens," Darkseid mused, his deep, commanding voice filled with condescending amusement. "I imagine he must have been… too much for you two to handle."

Barda and Myrina opened their mouths to respond—

But before a single word could leave their lips—

"DARKSEID!"

Superman's roar shattered the heavens.

The very air ignited as twin beams of raw, apocalyptic heat vision erupted from his eyes, searing toward Darkseid with murderous intent.

"WHOOSH!"

The searing energy rushed forward like an unstoppable force, its brightness blinding, the sheer heat vaporizing the air itself in its wake.

Darkseid's smirk never wavered.

With a mere tilt of his head, his own eyes flared open—

"BOOM!"

Twin Omega Beams, blood-red, ancient, inevitable, launched from his gaze, meeting Superman's attack head-on.

"RUMBLE!"

The sky tore apart as the two beams collided, the impact generating a maelstrom of power that sent shockwaves rippling through the landscape. A vacuum bubble formed between the two attacks, sucking in debris, ice, and even sound itself, creating a moment of eerie silence before—

"CRACK!"

The ground beneath them split apart, the Fortress shuddering, its crystalline walls fracturing under the sheer force of the battle.

Slowly, inevitably, Darkseid's Omega Beams began pushing back Superman's laser vision, inching toward the Kryptonian with unstoppable dominance.

However—

"DIEEE!"

Superman's roar reverberated across the land, his power doubling, his laser beams expanding in size and density until they were no longer just energy attacks, they were the wrath of a fallen god incarnate.

For the first time in the battle, Darkseid's expression shifted.

Impressive.

The Omega Beams halted, then began to retract, pushed back by the Kryptonian's sheer, unrestrained rage.

For a moment, it seemed as though—

"Enough."

Darkseid's smirk returned, and with absolute ease, he applied more power to his Omega Beams.

The moment he did—

"SHHHHRRKK!"

The Omega Beams sliced through Superman's attack like a blade through paper, twisting and arcing through the air before spearing directly into his chest.

"BOOOOOM!"

Superman's body lurched back, the impact splitting the very atmosphere, his black suit tearing, the energy searing into his flesh with the force of a thousand collapsing suns.

The ground beneath him cratered violently, the blast launching him hundreds of feet back, his body smashing into the ruined ice and rubble, carving a deep trench through the battlefield before finally coming to a stop.

Smoke rose from his form, his breath ragged, his fists clenched into the frozen ground.

Darkseid exhaled slowly, lowering his gaze to the fallen Kryptonian.

"A good show, Kryptonian," he said, stepping forward, his voice a deep, amused rumble. "But simple rage is not enough to defeat me."

His footsteps echoed as he advanced, each step carrying the weight of inevitability.

Superman, still on one knee, his chest smoldering from the impact, glared up at the tyrant.

And though his body trembled, though his wounds burned—

His eyes still burned with hatred.

Superman launched himself forward, the very air screaming in protest as his body became a living missile of rage.

"BOOM!"

The two titanic forces collided, their shoulders slamming together with enough force to send shockwaves tearing across the battlefield. The ground beneath them fractured violently, jagged cracks spreading outward as though the planet itself was shuddering from their clash.

For a fleeting moment, their glowing eyes met—

Blazing hatred against unwavering dominance.

Darkseid's lips curled into a smirk.

Then, without warning—

"WHAM!"

A brutal spinning backhand cracked across Superman's cheek with sickening force, his head snapping to the side as a spray of blood erupted from his mouth. The impact alone sent a shockwave rippling through his body, his bones groaning under the sheer power of the blow.

But even as his vision blurred for a split second, even as pain lanced through his jaw, Superman did not falter.

With a furious snarl, he retaliated.

"KRACK!"

His fist slammed into Darkseid's gut, a devastating blow that sent a deep tremor through the tyrant's body.

Darkseid grunted, his smirk faltering as small gouts of molten, lava-like blood spewed from his mouth, sizzling as they hit the frozen ground below.

The earth itself trembled, the sheer force of their exchange tearing apart the ice, creating violent ruptures that split across the battlefield like a shattered mirror.

Then came the struggle.

Darkseid lunged forward, his massive hands clamping around Superman's wrists, the two locked in a brutal test of strength, muscles flexing, power surging between them like two tectonic plates about to rupture reality itself.

For a moment, they stood deadlocked, neither willing to yield.

Then, Darkseid's dominance prevailed.

Slowly, inexorably, he forced Superman down, pushing him onto one knee, grinding him into the cracking ice as his sheer godly strength reigned supreme.

The Kryptonian's teeth gritted, his entire body shaking from the pressure.

Darkseid's crimson gaze burned brighter, the unstoppable Omega energy swirling behind his eyes, the charged blast seconds away from being unleashed directly into Superman's face.

This was it.

The end of the Last Son of Krypton.

But then—

"CRACK!"

A devastating kick exploded from Superman's coiled legs, striking Darkseid with such ferocity that the tyrant was ripped from his stance, sent tumbling across the ice.

His colossal form crashed and skidded, carving a deep trench into the battlefield before finally coming to a sliding stop, lying in a prone position for the first time.

Superman didn't give him a chance to recover.

With a furious boom, he launched himself into the air, his body flaring like a golden comet, then—

"BOOOOM!"

He slammed down onto Darkseid's midsection, his boots driving into the tyrant's core with the impact of a meteor strike.

Darkseid's red eyes widened, his mouth opening in a rare expression of genuine pain—

"HYAK!"

A larger spray of molten, lava-like blood erupted from his mouth, splattering across the battlefield, burning through ice and stone like acid.

But Superman was far from finished.

His fists clenched, the steam billowing from his skin, and then—

He unleashed hell.

"BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!"

A relentless barrage of lightning-fast punches rained down, each strike carrying enough force to shatter mountains, each impact sending deep cracks racing across the landscape.

The very Arctic began to break apart.

Massive fragments of icebergs sheared off from the mainland, tumbling into the frigid ocean, swallowed by the endless abyss below.

And then, the final blow.

"BOOM!"

Superman's last strike drove Darkseid downward, his massive frame smashing through the ice, plunging deep into the abyssal waters below.

For a moment, nothing but silence.

Superman hovered over the new gaping wound in the battlefield, his chest heaving, his fists trembling from the sheer force he had unleashed.

Steam rose from his bloodied knuckles, the residual heat of his rage scorching the freezing air around him.

He winced, for the first time acknowledging the pain coursing through his battered body.

But it wasn't over.

It would never be that easy.

"WENG!"

A Boom Tube roared to life behind him, its swirling vortex illuminating the battlefield in ominous red light.

Superman's eyes widened—

Too late.

"WHOOSH!"

A single Omega Beam ripped through the portal, a searing lance of ancient, cosmic destruction, striking Superman directly in the back.

"GRAAAAHHH!"

His body arched violently, his vision flaring white as the sheer force of the beam speared through him, the pain beyond mortal comprehension.

Then—

A massive figure emerged from the Boom Tube.

Darkseid.

Dripping with boiling water, his charred flesh steaming, his red eyes smoldering with something far worse than amusement—

Inevitable wrath.

His lips curled into a slow, ominous smirk, his towering form casting a shadow over the battlefield.

Superman gritted his teeth, his body trembling but suddenly– "RUMBLE!"

The air trembled, not just from the battle, not just from the destruction, but from something greater.

Both combatants, Superman and Darkseid, their bodies bruised, their power simmering beneath their skin like caged supernovas, instinctively looked upward.

And there—

A figure descended.

A lone warrior, wreathed in golden and crimson energy, his aura flaring outward like a flower made of living flames. The sheer heat and pressure of his presence sent ripples through the battlefield, distorting the very air around him, as though reality itself was struggling to contain his unimaginable might.

The battlefield fell into silence for a fleeting moment.

Then—

Superman's eyes blazed.

Not just with heat vision, not just with power, but with absolute, undiluted rage.

Darkseid saw this, and unlike the Kryptonian, he did not rage.

He laughed.

A deep, guttural chuckle rumbled from within his chest, growing louder and louder until—

"HAHAHAHA!"

The very air boomed with his laughter, his voice laced with mockery and amusement, as though he had just uncovered the greatest joke in the cosmos.

"And here I thought you hated me," Darkseid sneered, his crimson eyes gleaming with malicious delight. "But now I see the error in my ways. Hahahaha!"

His words were carefully chosen, calculated to provoke the Kryptonian further.

And yet—

Despite the clear provocation, despite the sheer disdain dripping from every syllable—

Superman's eyes never left the new opponent.

His gaze was locked solely on the golden warrior before him, the seething hatred within him redirected, repurposed, completely fixated on this new arrival.

Darkseid's amusement faltered for a brief moment.

His smirk remained, but his mind reeled with consideration.

This was... unexpected.

Superman's unrelenting focus forced the Tyrant of Apokolips to reassess the newcomer, to reevaluate the magnitude of the threat now standing before them.

Then—

"BOOM!"

The earth splintered violently as William landed, the force of his arrival sending deep fractures tearing through the already broken landscape. The ice beneath them shuddered from the sheer impact, massive chunks breaking away and tumbling into the frozen abyss below.

And there he stood—

Opposite both Superman and Darkseid.

Both warlords stared at him, their expressions vastly different.

Superman's face was twisted in fury, his entire body tense, every fiber of his being itching to strike, his hatred now redirected, redefined, rebranded entirely for William.

Darkseid, in contrast, exuded curiosity, his glowing red gaze analyzing, dissecting, the gears of his mind already calculating, already formulating the next step.

But then—

Superman moved.

"I'LL KILL YOU, BASTARD!"

With an earth-shattering roar, Superman lunged forward, his body a blur of unstoppable force, his fist rocketing toward William's face, seeking to annihilate him in one strike.

But William—

William didn't flinch.

He saw it coming.

"WHOOSH!"

With minimal effort, William simply tilted his head to the right, allowing the devastating punch to miss entirely, the sheer force of the blow splitting the ice behind him in a thunderous rupture.

Before Superman could recover—

William struck.

In a fluid, predatory motion, he reached out, grabbing the back of Superman's head mid-momentum, his grip absolute, his power undeniable.

And then—

"BANG!"

With an explosive impact, he drove Superman's face into the frozen ground, cratering the earth beneath them, sending a shockwave tearing outward that obliterated the weakened ice for miles.

The battlefield shuddered, and for the first time in a long time, Darkseid's stone-like features shifted into something akin to surprise.

For the first time, William had his attention.

Darkseid's lips curled, his expression a mixture of intrigue and anticipation.

"Interesting," he mused, his voice carrying a rare note of genuine amusement.

Then, with absolute confidence, he took a single step forward.

This battle had just become far more entertaining.
