Reborn as Raven in Dc... But as a Futa?

Chapter 91: SILVER CHARIOT!

The world is a Jojo reference. Even the chapter name is!

High above Metropolis, nestled among the drifting clouds, Arthur Curry reappeared. The wind tore at his frame, tugging violently at his hair and armor as the vast city below slowly grew larger beneath him. For a brief moment, the view was magnificent. From the heights of the atmosphere, the skyscrapers looked like neatly stacked blocks, glimmering beneath the sun like steel teeth.

"Damn, what a view." Arthur smiled, for a moment, he appreciated the beauty before him.

"Even the clouds look… the clouds!"

Then realization struck.

"Wait a minute... I'm falling!" Arthur yelled, eyes wide as the illusion of calm shattered.

The air screamed past him, whistling as gravity seized him with merciless force. His arms flailed before he regained some semblance of control, flattening his body in a free-fall pose. Wind burned against his cheeks, and his heart pounded not from fear—but irritation.

"DAMN IT!" he cursed, teeth gritting.

Instinctively, he reached out with his mind, searching for the sea. It was always there, always whispering at the edge of his consciousness. The ever-present cradle of his strength. But this time... something felt off. The water responded—barely. A muted echo. A distant hum. Not enough.

He considered using it anyway. But with the ocean stretching beneath every landmass, stirring its wrath just to save himself might create a catastrophic tsunami. No. He wouldn't risk that. Not for this.

He turned his head mid-fall. And there—glorious, sunlit and inviting—was the beach. Just beyond the sprawling edges of Metropolis.

Arthur let out a weary sigh, grimacing. "Ahh... I'm about to cause public panic now."

He stretched a hand toward the direction of the waves. He could feel them. The tides pushing and pulling in rhythm. But when he reached for dominion over them, he felt a wall. A curtain he couldn't breach.

"Damn it, Raven!" he growled. Even with Poseidon's Trident at his beck and call, the region of the ocean under her control remained inaccessible. A terrifying testament to how much territory she'd claimed. Bad memories of his encounters with Raven plagued his thoughts, making him stop his efforts for trying but he shook it off. His heroic heart was back. And if he couldn't command the seas now he had an idea in mind an idea that might piss a particular person off or make them happy in the end.

The city pavement rushed toward him with unforgiving speed. Their meeting would be set if nothing was done.

"IN THE NAME OF POSEIDON, YIELD!!" Arthur roared, desperation tinging his voice.

The ocean trembled in response. A seaquake rolled beneath the beach, causing murmurs of panic as beachgoers looked around in confusion. The water churned unnaturally, frothing with power.

"COME TO ME!" Arthur demanded.

But the sea didn't move. Instead—something else did.

A mighty crash erupted from the depths. Water exploded skyward, not in chaos—but in majesty.

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

Time itself seemed to stop.

People removed their sunglasses just to be sure of what was happening. Volleyballs hit the sand untouched, as the player stopped what they were doing to look up in awe. A hotdog remained incomplete, the MUSTARD bottle still poised by the hotdog retailer. Couples paused mid-caress. A lust filled teenager who was rubbing the back of a milf with sun screen consensually but was hoping to get lucky also looked up, his awe suppressed his raging lust. Beach flashers ceased their perversions. Every soul along the shore turned toward the divine spectacle, unable to look away.

Across the nearby roads, every single vehicle halted at the same instant. There were no screeches, no crashes. Just synchronized stillness—as if the universe itself pressed pause. This was actually a miracle as everyone's perception of time near the beach was greatly heightened.

A woman clutched her chest and fell to her knees, crying tears of pure spiritual joy.

"I knew it," she whispered. "I knew he was real. I worshipped him... and they said I was just religious."

Her son leaned close, eyes wide. "Mom... is that—?"

A glittering silver chariot, polished blue under the sunlight, surged forth from the foamy veil of Poseidon's realm. It was pulled by four colossal stallions, forged from translucent water, their hooves crashing on liquid and air alike. Their eyes glowed like the deep sea trenches, bodies rippling with divine magic.

"Yes," she said, trembling. "That's him... That's the power of the Sea King."

All along the beach, spontaneous worship erupted.

"ALL HAIL POSEIDON, GOD OF THE SEAS!" the woman cried.

"ALL HAIL POSEIDON!" her son repeated.

One voice became ten. Then fifty. Then hundreds. Their chants reverberated through the sand, the waves, the skies. For a solid minute, the world seemed transformed into a temple.

Surfers, tourists, vendors, criminals, lovers—everyone—shared in the awe.

A surfer in shorts with sun-kissed abs turned to his equally sunbaked buddy. "Duuuude... was everything just... in slow motion? I am not high, right? Wrong question, Theo, let me rephrase. How… high am I?"

"You're not high, man," the friend said, blinking. "Or maybe you are. But we all saw it."

By the time the miracle faded and their perception of time resumed, the chariot had vanished into the sky, streaking like a comet.

Arthur laughed joyfully, gripping the reins. "WHOOOOOOOO! YEAAAHHHHHH!"

He was already states away from Metropolis, his heart surging with adrenaline and a renewed sense of destiny as the chariot rode across all fifty states of freedom.

CIA Headquarters, Washington D.C.

A massive screen showed replayed footage of the beach incident. Silence loomed heavy in the control room.

"So... the gods are involved now," the CIA Director said calmly, hands folded behind his back.

"Good," his assistant murmured beside him.

Meanwhile, Above Metropolis

"Damn it! He already left!" Blue Beetle hovered down beside Robin, who stood on the edge of a rooftop, peering toward the sky.

"Well, pursue him! You can fly, damnit!" Robin snapped.

Blue Beetle held out his hands together in frustration in front of his lips as if he were praying. "Dude, I can't move that fast! Did you see him leave? Lex's satellites pinged something falling into Metropolis airspace, then the beach incident—then poof! Gone! You know what… just tell me what you saw since you got to the roof first after the miracle on the beach."

Robin exhaled slowly. "I saw... light."

"Exactly!" Blue Beetle now pointed his joined hands dramatically at Robin. "Now, stay with me, Robin. Do I move at light speed, Robin?"

Robin blinked, then shrugged. Truthfully, he had always assumed Beetle could, given his otherworldly tech. But now? He had doubts. And speaking any further would make him lose aura points.

"But I can," a calm voice said behind them.

The two boys spun around. Nothing. Empty rooftop.

"That... that wasn't Lex's voice, was it?" Robin asked cautiously.

A shadow passed overhead. A man with blazing red eyes descended gracefully, cape fluttering behind him.

It was Red Star.

"That was Lex," Red Star confirmed, landing with a thud. His voice was thick with a Russian accent, but his tone was precise.

"Wait, then that would mean…" Blue Beetle said, stepping back slightly.

"He has achieved light speed," Red Star replied cryptically, looking skyward. "And I think we're about to learn a lot more... whether we want to or not, we have to."

"If he has done so, then that means he's a superpowered person now. A normal human body can't withstand lightspeed." Blue Beetle added.

"I guess he has been working on something. It would seem that he was the most serious and most prepared out of all of us." Red star said, sighing as he rubbed his chin in contemplation.

"Hahahaha. I expected nothing less from that slime bag. It seems I have underestimated you once more, Lex Luthor." Robin laughed with his head raised to the sky and folded arms.

"I underestimated you for the last time."
