Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 134: Start of Music Festival

The day of the festival had finally arrived.

Streets were completely filled with people coming from all over the Kings region, filling the double-path concrete road meant for four cars to go through.

It was good that they planned for this.

Michael instructed Kong and the other engineers to renovate and adjust the roads to accommodate the large number of vehicles entering in and out of their nation.

Most of the people that arrived here took the Reborn taxi bus, so the traffic wasn't that congested around the streets of their nation. But for those who were able to afford their own automobile, there was a designated underground parking space where they could leave their vehicle.

The main stage area, located at the center of the nation, was closed off to vehicles and could only be accessed by walking.

This had two purposes: one, it would prevent traffic at the busiest place in the nation. And two, it would also force people to explore everything that the Nation of Reborn had to offer.

It worked. Each person walking the streets of the nation center had their heads up, looking at the strange and unique buildings lined up in blocks.

If anyone from Michael's previous world saw this, then they would recognize the style and architecture and attribute it to the cities from modern Earth.

"Woah… I can't believe such a beautiful place is hiding in the desert."

"Look at that! That's a Reborn mall! Let's see what we can buy!"

"Fried chicken? What kind of food is that restaurant serving? I want to try it. But I also want to try that round thing called pizza…"

Wherever they looked, they would find all sorts of unique services or products that could only be found in this place.

The nation center was tightly packed with commercial buildings that were designed for the guests to spend as much money as possible even before the festival started.

And if people were overwhelmed, then there would always be a Rebornian nearby ready to assist them with whatever they needed.

"Excuse me, do you know where to find good food to eat? My kids are getting hungry," a confused father approached one of the Lamias as he pointed at his two children.

The Lamia smiled and gave the man a map of the whole nation. "There is a good Burger place just past this street," she said. "But, I suggest that you visit The Rebornian Hotel right here. It has lodging, a restaurant, and a pool for your kids to enjoy."

She pointed the human family to the tall and wide building just on the other side of the street. It looked expensive just from one look alone, especially since the front doors and windows were made out of pure glass!

"Miss? What's a pool?" one of the kids asked.

"It's kind of like a beach but indoors," the Lamia replied.

"Cool! I want to swim! Mom, Dad, can we go there?!" the kids clamored to their parents.

The mother and father looked at each other, and it was clear from their expression that they were incredibly curious to see this hotel as well.

"Honey, I think we should buy a room for ourselves," the mother said to the father. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

With his wife and kids begging for him to do it, the man had no other choice.

"Miss, where can we park our car while we stay in the hotel?"

The Lamia smiled. "Customers of the inn can have their automobiles parked for them by one of their attendants. This is called a valet service. Oh, and purchasing a room with them gives you a complimentary ticket to the baseball game later today."

"Baseball?"

At midday, the stadium erupted in cheers and shouts as the baseball game took off.

Not a lot of people even knew there was a stadium just on the outskirts of the nation, much less that there was a game called baseball taking place there.

However, they were quickly curious as they heard the raucous cheering from the stadium echoing all over the nation. They began to ask around and the Rebornians quickly explained the basics of the game.

A lot of people were interested and immediately bought a ticket for the next game.

The festival hadn't even started yet, but the tourists were already enjoying themselves in the Nation of Reborn. Gold coins kept pouring in as every single guest explored the amenities they offered, and some even decided to book a room for an entire week to fully enjoy their experience.

Many contemplated moving here entirely. After all, the convenient lifestyle here was much more advanced than castles meant for royalty.

For example, as people began filling up the rooms of the inns and hotels in the nation, they began to discover the wonders of electricity.

With just a flick of a switch, light would suddenly appear at the top of their room. And with a single push of a button, cold air would blow out of the strange box compartment near the window. Not only that, but they had a magical box that could keep their beer and water as cold as ice!

Electricity became such a buzz among the guests that people began to knock on the gates of his house to beg him to have electricity available in their houses.

Lolo had to appease them and promise that electricity would be available in the Kings region soon.

Michael had already been planning on creating a new power plant. It would be located nearer the northern part of the Kings region so that it could supply electricity to Kingsbridge City and the rest of the territories there.

This would also leave a possibility for the Queens region to be connected with electricity. But, of course, he still had to gain widespread recognition from their locals.

"Boss? Are you busy?" Lolo said, knocking on Michael's door.

"Come in," Michael replied. "Is there something wrong with the festival?"

"No, sir. Everything's going fine. I came here for a different reason. Some guests are asking to meet with you personally."

Michael stopped walking and looked at Lolo. "I'm guessing there's something special with these guests if you're coming to see me."

"Yes, Boss. They say that they're from the Queens region."
