Chapter 566: Chapter 566
"Hehehe, hahaha, hahahaha!" Grimmjow burst into laughter, his eyes turning red as he cackled.
"Who? Tell me, who killed him?!" Grimmjow's voice was urgent, his gaze fixed on Gin Ichimaru, desperate to know the truth.
His eagerness wasn't driven by a desire to avenge Nnoitra Gilga; he had no such interest.
It was pure excitement.
He reveled in challenging strong opponents, enjoying the thrill of battle. Whoever could kill Nnoitra must be a formidable foe.
Gin's smile deepened at Grimmjow's outburst.
"A human named Mochizuki Hui," he revealed. "He's already returned to the human world. But this guy is extremely strong. No matter who goes to the real world, don't provoke him. You might get killed."
Gin's words caused Tosen Kaname's eyes to widen abruptly.
Among the Espada, apart from Ulquiorra, all three were instantly intrigued. Grimmjow, in particular, became even more excited.
Every strong individual possessed inherent confidence. To them, the more they heard about someone's extraordinary abilities, the stronger their urge to test those abilities themselves.
"I'm telling the truth," Gin continued, adding fuel to the fire. He held no regard for the Espada, their lives meaningless to him. "Remember, don't provoke Mochizuki Hui."
Ulquiorra, meanwhile, frowned slightly.
He understood the mindset of his fellow Espada all too well. Recalling Hui's terrifying power, a shiver ran down his spine. He spoke with a heavy tone, his voice a warning. "If that human, Hui, wanted to kill me, it would probably only take a second."
His words sent shockwaves through the others, their pupils dilating slightly.
They might doubt Gin's words, but Ulquiorra's carried far more weight.
"Is he really that strong?" Grimmjow asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
"Impossible! You're not weak. Not even Yamamoto could do that!" exclaimed another Espada.
This one, Coyote Starrk, had a mask fragment forming a necklace around his jaw, with brown curly hair, grey-blue eyes, and a stubble beard, giving him the appearance of a middle-aged man.
He had seemed lazy and indifferent, showing little interest in external matters. But inwardly, a coldness had taken root, a desire to kill this Hui upon reaching the human world.
Though he appeared apathetic, Starrk deeply valued his companions and hated loneliness. Yet, Ulquiorra's words had shaken him, extinguishing much of his inner rage.
"It's true... In any case, whoever goes to the human world, absolutely do not provoke Hui," Ulquiorra reiterated his final warning.
Inwardly, however, he remained uneasy. He had already decided to go to the human world, and no matter who accompanied him, he would stop them from engaging Hui.
"Hahaha! Since you say so, Ulquiorra, though I'd love to witness that kind of power firsthand, I'll listen to you and not provoke this Hui." Grimmjow shrugged. He was battle-hungry, but not a brainless fool.
Of course, despite his words, Grimmjow knew that if he had the chance to encounter this Hui, he wouldn't be able to resist testing him.
"Hmm, understood." Coyote Starrk nodded, indicating he wouldn't provoke Hui. However, considering his loyalty to his comrades, this promise might be difficult to keep.
The other Espada also nodded in agreement.
Naturally, no one knew their true inner thoughts. After all, not everyone completely trusted Ulquiorra or believed everything he said was absolute truth.
They had their own ways of handling things. If they went to the human world, their actions would depend on their own choices.
Take, for instance, Barragan Luisenbarn, the most physically imposing and seemingly oldest Espada. Barragan had the appearance of an elderly man, with a crown-like adornment on his head and a massive golden compass at his waist. He wore a long robe-like garment, his attire exuding an imperial aura.
Arrogant and disdainful, he looked down on others, believing himself invincible. He had once ruled Hueco Mundo, considering himself its king and viewing others as mere ants. Therefore, Barragan scoffed inwardly at Gin and Ulquiorra's high praise of Hui, dismissing their words as exaggerations.
If he went to the human world, he would definitely show this Hui what true power meant.
Of course, his belief stemmed from the fact that neither Gin nor Ulquiorra mentioned Hui's victory over Sosuke Aizen.
Had Barragan known about Hui defeating Aizen, who had in turn defeated him, he wouldn't harbor such arrogant thoughts.
Then there was Szayelaporro Granz, another Espada as arrogant and conceited as Barragan.
He, too, didn't believe Hui was truly that powerful. In his mind, Hui wasn't someone to be completely avoided. At worst, if he couldn't win a fight against Hui, he could always run away.
"In that case, let's split up. Gin and I will infiltrate Soul Society. The rest is up to you," Tosen Kaname declared. He was far from at ease.
Although he and Gin were Soul Reapers, making it easier for them to enter Soul Society compared to the Arrancar, their mission was fraught with danger. They were defectors from Soul Society. If discovered, they might never return. Thus, utmost caution was paramount.
After Tosen and Gin departed, the remaining nine Espada exchanged glances. Barragan was the first to speak.
"I'm going to the human world," he declared, his tone brooking no argument. He spoke with the arrogance of one issuing commands, then left without waiting for a response.
"I'll go play in the human world as well," Szayelaporro announced, following Barragan's lead.
Since this wasn't a team mission and Barragan could go to the human world, so could he. Since Gin and Ulquiorra spoke so highly of Hui, he might as well have some fun with this person named Hui.
Both Barragan and Szayelaporro shared the same thought as they departed.
