Reborn in Type-Moon, My Sister is Aoko Aozaki

Chapter 34: Volume 1: Chapter 034: Where's the Sword? It's Gone!

Deep within the palace of Orkney.

After finishing the letter in her hand, which was signed by Agravain, Morgan fell silent for a moment. In the next instant, as if unable to suppress her emotions any longer, she shot to her feet in a rage, tearing the letter to shreds. Her beautiful face was a mask of fury.

"—Another rebellious son!"

Morgan simply couldn't understand it. What was so good about that Arthur? Not only did she have an obedient and loyal "younger brother" by her side, but she had also "bewitched" her own sons, one after another, to her cause. Furthermore, her two sons truly infuriated her, betraying her so easily.

At this thought, Morgan subconsciously glanced at the girl and boy of similar age standing by a palace pillar. Her anger flared up, and she snapped, "Gareth, don't think I don't know what you're secretly up to! Give up on that foolish idea of becoming a knight at once! Otherwise, next time, I'll throw away all the armor and swords you've hidden!"

"And you, Gaheris! Watch your sister! Don't let her do such stupid things again!"

"Y-yes, Mother!" x2

The girl and boy trembled reflexively and quickly lowered their heads, agreeing profusely. Seeing this, Morgan finally felt some of her anger vent. With a pout, she lost the mood to remain in the main hall and strode towards her bedchamber.

"This is the third humiliation... You just wait, Arthur. This isn't over between us!"

A curse-like mutter escaped her red lips. Morgan suddenly stopped, as if a brilliant idea had struck her. A faint smile lifted the corners of her mouth.

—However, this matter will require some careful planning.

***

*[After Agravain became a member of your party, the efficiency of your army increased at a visible rate.]*

*[You had thought that this boy, sent by Morgan as an assassin, would be a combat-oriented powerhouse like his brother Gawain. You never expected his talents in administration to be even more outstanding.]*

*[Your sworn sister and Merlin were both astonished by Agravain's abilities. In private, Merlin couldn't help but laugh, saying he wished Morgan would send a few more talents like him over, which would make dealing with Vortigern much easier.]*

*[Thus, quite naturally, your sworn sister assigned Agravain the duties of a secretary, specifically responsible for managing the army's logistical resources, organizing frontline intelligence, and formulating some tactics.]*

*[However, perhaps because you had pinned him to the ground during his "assassination" attempt, you always felt that Agravain was somewhat ill at ease when interacting with you. This troubled you slightly. After all, as partners in the same camp, you hoped to have a good relationship with him.]*

*[Yet, when Merlin learned of this, he couldn't help but chuckle and tell you:]*

*["I don't think that person dislikes you; he's simply never met anyone like you before. After all, his disposition is... well, a bit, hmm, solitary."]*

*["It's like how people are always careful when handling fragile items. He probably realizes his own perspective is a little different from an ordinary person's, so he's deliberately keeping his distance to avoid influencing you."]*

*[You nodded with a vague understanding. Although you couldn't fully comprehend Merlin's words, it was a relief. At least there was no conflict between you and Agravain.]*

*[At the same time, in the period following this small interlude, the war front grew tense.]*

*[To dampen the morale of Vortigern's army, your sworn sister Artoria decided to attack one of their key strongholds, hoping to recapture it.]*

*[After some discussion, the final recommendation from Agravain and Merlin was for you and Gawain to lead a portion of the army to raid their supply base, while your sworn sister Artoria launched a frontal assault from the other side.]*

*[Though your sworn sister Artoria was somewhat worried, she didn't seem to be concerned for your safety. Instead, with a tone of regret and anxiety, as if she "wouldn't be able to see you for a few days," she told you to "leave early and return soon."]*

*[You promised your sworn sister that you would complete the mission and return safely, then set out in advance with Gawain and a detachment of the army.]*

*[During the march, you would occasionally overhear some private whispers from the soldiers below.]*

*[They discussed your swordsmanship and strength, which didn't match your age. They discussed how your body and appearance hadn't changed at all since the war against Vortigern began. They discussed your stunning looks...]*

*[You paid no mind to this, nor did you reprimand the soldiers.]*

*[Although about a year had passed since your sworn sister ascended the throne and began to assemble an army to fight Vortiggen, your body, just like hers, had not grown at all.]*

*[You felt neither anxiety nor strangeness about this, because in your view, this was all just a dream, and anything could happen in a dream.]*

*[As for your appearance... considering that it might cause some problems on the battlefield if things continued this way, you began to wonder if you should add a mask under your hood to cover your face.]*

*[However, these were all trivial matters... At the designated time and place, you and Gawain successfully launched your raid.]*

*[Coordinating with the army attacking from the front, you successfully captured the stronghold.]*

*[You and Gawain high-fived to celebrate, but Gawain's spirits seemed particularly high. He couldn't help but offer to be in charge of dinner tonight to properly reward the soldiers of the special operations unit.]*

*[Hearing this, you subconsciously recalled the mashed potatoes he had made before and hastily shook your head, saying it would be better to celebrate together after rejoining the main army. Only then did you manage to dissuade him.]*

*[And so, with a sigh of relief, you and Gawain returned to the main army's camp. But to your surprise, your sworn sister Artoria and Merlin didn't seem as joyous as you had expected. They appeared quite anxious, and for some reason, your sworn brother Kay kept sighing with a look of "disappointment in someone who fails to meet expectations," wanting to speak but holding back.]*

*[Although you were very confused, you didn't ask directly in front of everyone. Instead, you first celebrated the victory of the battle with the others.]*

*[It wasn't until nightfall that your sworn sister Artoria called you into her private tent. With Merlin by her side, they stammered and told you:]*

*[—The Sword in the Stone is gone.]*
