Refining the Dao into Godhood: A Tale of the Jie Sect

The first to see the significance was Taiching Laozi, he smirked slightly, the Taiji Diagram flew out directly, several streaks of Yin Yang Qi merged into the Creation Furnace that Xuanqing was evolving: "Quite courageous! Yet merely at Taiyi Realm, you dare to refine the Dao of a Saint, let this poor Daoist lend you a helping hand then! As for if you can succeed... that depends on your destiny!"

The Saint's Eye sharp like a torch, able to penetrate all things, he saw at a glance that Xuanqing seemed to have an understanding, preparing to fuse the origins of the three major Divine Thunders with the power of creation.

However, Xuanqing's grasp on the Creation Skill was not deep, and his Cultivation was only at the Taiyi Realm, wanting to refine the Thunder Skills derived from the Dao of the Heavenly Dao Saints was somewhat strenuous, let alone that Thunder Skill being extremely firm and yang, carrying immense Heavenly might, not something that could be subdued by common methods.

Thus, it caused such a commotion!

The Taiji Diagram evolved the Yin Yang Qi, the void as if forming a world on its own, combined with the Creation Furnace, it immediately became a Divine Furnace capable of refining ten thousand laws.

Xuanqing also sensed this sudden change, but at this moment he could not be distracted, only able to express his gratitude to Taiching Laozi in his heart.

"Dao begets One, One begets Two, Two begets Three, Three begets all things!" Xuanqing had an epiphany: "The Master's Dao, just like Taiji gives rise to Two Forms, Two Forms to Four Symbols, Four Symbols to Eight Diagrams, Eight Diagrams perform Infinite Phenomena! It's just a pity, the Innate Eight Diagrams are not yet perfected, wishing to refine the Great Dao of The Three Pure Ones, still lacks some heat!"

"Taiching Divine Thunder", "Yuqing Divine Thunder", "Upper Pure Divine Thunder" are all derivations of the Saint's Dao, although they are not the core of the Saint's Dao, but also not just anything that can refine them.

However, Xuanqing is no ordinary man.

In his heart, thunder exploded, as if a voice told him: "If there's no path ahead, then be the one to forge it! There is nothing that can stop your thoughts!"

This is the manifestation of one's true heart!

Instantly, Xuanqing no longer hesitated, one hand pointing to heaven, one hand pointing to earth, borrowing the vast power of Heaven and Earth, he drew forth Heavenly Thunder, merging it into the Creation Furnace.

Taiching Laozi's brows slightly wrinkled, seeming a little puzzled, the three kinds of Divine Thunder were already hard to suppress, why would Xuanqing still actively draw the Power of Heavenly Thunder.

"Zhen is Thunder!"

Following Xuanqing's loud shout, Taiji generates Two Forms, Two Forms perform Four Symbols, Four Symbols then evolve toward the Eight Diagrams, thunderous roars echoed in the void.

Before his traversal, he had read "The Book of Changes", knew that Zhen Diagram is the beginning of the Innate Eight Diagrams, therefore he drew down the Heavenly Thunder, attempting to evolve the Innate Eight Diagrams.

It describes the Innate Eight Diagrams in this sentence: The Emperor emerges from Zhen, aligns with Xun, meets with Li, dedicates in Kun, negotiates in Dui, battles in Qian, toils in Kan, accomplishes in Gen!

This "Emperor" does not refer to the monarch, but to the sun, which is the "Yang" in Two Forms!

"Xun is Wind!"

He cultivated into the Innate Wind and Thunder Dao Body, naturally close to Wind and Thunder, it can be said that calling forth the Power of Wind and Thunder is effortless, and immediately he drew out a sliver of the essence of Bifeng.

"Li is Fire!"

Wind and Thunder intertwined, immediately welcoming a Heavenly Fire, this is also a Dao that Xuanqing mastered.

Regarding the remaining five kinds of trigrams in the Innate Eight Diagrams, although he had not comprehended the corresponding Daos, but by relying on the already evolved three trigrams, wanting to create something out of nothing, drawing them out from between heaven and earth, was not impossible.

After all, at the Heavenly Immortal Realm, one can move the Power of Heaven and Earth, merging with a part of the void.

Furthermore...

What about him, a Taiyi Golden Immortal?

"Kun is Earth!"

"Dui is Lake!"

"Qian is Heaven!"

"Kan is Water!"

"Gen is Mountain!"

At that instant, the Innate Eight Diagrams materialized in the void, positioning Heaven and Earth, connecting mountains to marshes, the clash of thunder and wind, water and fire not opposing each other, endless Dao mysteries emerging with the vast purple Qi, each occupying a position and commencing the evolution of Infinite Phenomena.

The Eight Diagrams harmonized; in the blink of an eye, they were imprinted upon the Creation Furnace. The eight paths of Heaven, Earth, Wind, Thunder, Water, Fire, Mountain, and Marsh pervaded within, taking Yin Yang as the base and the Four Symbols as the foundation, beginning to refine the three Divine Thunders.

Yet, this was not the conclusion!

Favored by fortune, Xuanqing seized a sliver of opportunity, and spoke out once more: "Innate as the root, Acquired as the foundation, this is the base of all things in Heaven and Earth!"

Thereupon, he reversed the performance of the Innate Eight Diagrams, expounded the way of the Acquired, and Acquired Eight Diagrams likewise emerged as expected.

Afterward, the Innate Eight Diagrams and the Acquired Eight Diagrams merged into one, deducing the myriad wonders of the universe, as if to thoroughly comprehend the principles of Creation, even drawing sidelong glances from the consciousness of the Heavenly Dao.

"The weak follow the Dao's utility, the contrary incite the Dao's motion, all things under the heavens arise from existence, existence stems from nonexistence!"

Bolstered by the Innate Eight Diagrams, the Creation Furnace grew even more formidable, an overwhelming Heavenly might surged wave after wave, in an instant, fusing the three types of Divine Thunders into one entity.

The eight powers of Heaven and Earth, at times converging, at times dispersing, ultimately returning to nothingness, as if the Great Dao thunderously declared, expounding on the supreme truth that all beings arise from existence and return to nonexistence.

"The way of Taiyi!"

In Taiching Laozi's eyes, a burst of brilliant light erupted.

He began with Taiji, performed Yin Yang, elucidated the Four Symbols, following a path of deducing myriad laws.

In contrast, Xuanqing took an opposite approach, exhausting the variations of all things, first using the Four Symbols to deduce the Innate Eight Diagrams, then using both Innate and Acquired Eight Diagrams to elucidate the myriad phenomena.

Then, myriad phenomena returned to unity, transforming into nothingness, and from the void emerged the Taiyi Spiritual Light, aligning perfectly with the ultimate path of the Tongtian Sect Master and the pioneering way of Yuanshi Tianzun.

"With the inception of the One, myriad entities renew, with the conclusion of the One, a cycle then begins anew!"

"How marvelous!"

Yuanshi Tianzun and the Tongtian Sect Master were also astonished, seemingly incredulous that a Taiyi Golden Immortal could deduce such profound universal truths.

Xuanqing benefited greatly; he immediately bowed to Taiching Laozi in gratitude: "Thank you for your assistance, Great-Uncle Master! Your disciple will keep this in mind, please accept my bow!"

Without Taiching Laozi's aid with the Tai Chi Diagram, relying merely on his superficial Creation Power, he would've hardly been capable of merging the essences of the three Divine Thunders.

Of course, gratitude was due!

Seeing this, Taiching Laozi barely stirred his fingertips, unleashing a breeze, stopping Xuanqing from further salutations: "This is all your own creation; I merely went with the flow and not deserving of such a grand gesture!"

In fact, in watching Xuanqing expound the Dao, he, too, gained considerable benefit, for his understanding of the myriad ways of Heaven and Earth was the exact opposite of his own, like looking into a mirror.

A perfect opportunity to verify one's own Dao!

All of a sudden, the void roared, countless auspicious vapors condensed, a vast Merit Golden Cloud appeared over Kunlun Mountain, then promptly descended into Xuanqing's spiritual platform.

Jealous glances immediately came from the surrounding disciples.

"The Merit of the Heavenly Dao!"

As disciples of a Saint, they naturally understood the benefits of Merit and also recognized the difficulty of obtaining it.

However, they were utterly baffled as to why, merely by hearing the three Saints discuss the Great Dao, Xuanqing would attract such hefty Heavenly Dao Merit?

With Merit infusing his body, Xuanqing felt his spiritual platform become clear and bright, as if receiving the Heavenly Dao's favor, his comprehension improved considerably, and his Dao Fruit even emitted golden celestial radiance and divine auras.

"This…"

Xuanqing, realizing later, began to panic, it seemed as if he had seized the Merit that belonged to Fu Xi and Ji Chang—the Innate and Acquired Eight Diagrams should have been brought forth by them.

Nevertheless, on second thought, as a Jie Sect disciple who seizes the slightest opportunity and fortune, what was so wrong about seizing some Merit from them?
