'Well, talk about curious...' I was walking straight into the compound with the head of the clan itself. I could hear the people whispering about who I was and why I was even in here to begin with. It didn't come off as something arrogant, but rather, one of caution and to an extent, fear...

'It looks like I had the wrong impression of the clan so far.'

[Perhaps, host...]

'Yeah, perhaps.' We took a few more twists and turns through the village; Just before we finally went towards a relatively secluded compound in their section of the village. It wasn't big, nor was it small. It looked as if it was made for that purpose, to be ordinary.

"Follow me inside." Fugaku said, taking off his shoes...

I did so as well, and followed him inside.

[Do you wish for me to scan the the texts while you go through them?]

'Yeah, just in case something goes wrong with my memory in the future. Getting amnesia isn't totally out of the equation. So it's best you hold a back up for me to learn everything again.' Better to be prepared right? It's what made Fugaku lose the fight against me, at least somewhat.

As I stepped inside, I saw Fugaku taking his time to sit down...

"To your right; You will see all my clan's ninjutsu scrolls. Dozen's upon dozens of our clan's attacks are fire style oriented, and even fewer are of lightning in nature. To your left are... No, it's pointless to talk about them."

"I'll be the one to determine that... What are the one's to the left for?"

Fugaku sighed, "They are our Clan's genjutsu; tailored only for those who wield the Sharingan. Rather, how it's done in detail..."

Hmm, so that's what those are. Then I'd definitely take a look at them as well, after all; I'm practically an Uchiha now, or will be by tomorrow... Though, it's going to be a pain explain this to my mother. I'll just tell her I've been training all night.

I picked up the first scroll, seeing a jutsu I wasn't aware of before. Then quickly placed it back... Onto the next one. This time, it looked familiar to the one I've learned when I patrolled the clan recently, so I put it back.

After that, I've seen some interesting Jutsu's that I didn't recognize from Canon, like the Fire Style: Phoenix Wing Slash, and the Fire Style: Crimson Cyclone. They sounded quite interesting, and that was only the two I've seen so far too...

'N.E.O, are you scanning these like I've asked you to?'

[Affirmative, everything you have read so far has been scanned and archived for later use.]

'Good.' I continued perusing the entire shelf of scrolls he had, going through each one with a few flips and placing them back neatly where they had belonged...

"Have you already memorized those scrolls you've picked up and read so far?" Fugaku asked me.

I continued reading through the remaining scrolls, "Yes... I have a pretty great memory." I continued scrolling, finishing the fire related scrolls. Towards a section to themselves, were seven more scrolls... They even seemed old, and they were relatively un-kept at that.

'I'm guessing these ones were left on-hold because they weren't fire based in nature... Which means, they were the lightning style scrolls Fugaku was talking about. Still, I haven't really seen them being used in canon, apart from Sasuke doing so; but I could understand why since he excelled in lightning natured jutsus...'

I went through the first two, Raiton: Raikō Taka Setsudan, and another being Raiton: Arashi Kiba Rendan...

'Hah~ I can already see why they weren't even toughed... Black lightning? Something only done with nature chakra. Both of these jutsus required some level of sage arts to be used. I can understand why there were left behind then. Having the talent for becoming a sage is very rare in this world.

Despite Naruto himself being a prodigy in this regard, even he took a while to master it, and that was only due to his teacher stopping him from becoming a toad himself. It's something I plan to look at in the future when I get the time...

I quickly read through all seven scrolls, and these Justus could likely be A to S-rank in nature, if I were to give them a general rank, they'd likely be S-rank, at least more so than A-rank due to their nature of being lightning based. In fact, I even saw one called Raiton: Susanoo no Gekirin.

Specifically tailored for the Susanoo itself. Most don't even reach this level in their lifetimes. Much less the strength to actually use the skill comfortable. I thought I would be disappointed at first, but I'm glad I was wrong. All these jutsus were all relatively powerful in their own right, especially the lightning style jutsus.

Now...

For the Genjutsus.

Towards the left of the room were five scrolls; each with a number on them, from one to five.

I sat down, opening the first scroll, and not to my surprise, the scroll tells you that you need the first Tomoe to even start, real encouraging of them to say that. It's literally saying the reader should come back when they have even reached this level. I'd get it soon enough, so I wasn't paying much attention to all that.

Containing, the scroll immediately spoke about how to manipulate and use genjutsu with the Sharingan. saying that while all Uchiha possess the ability to cast Genjutsu, true mastery comes from understanding how to layer illusions seamlessly, making them indistinguishable from reality. It detailed how the Sharingan's innate hypnotic eye functions—not just by forcing illusions upon the target, but by guiding their perception into believing what the user desires...

The basics of the basics so far.

The first technique listed was the Veil—a basic but effective Genjutsu that disrupted the enemy's depth perception and balance, making even simple movements feel disjointed. It was considered the foundation for all Uchiha illusions, designed to force an opponent into a defensive stance without them even realizing why...

I skimmed further, noting the next section emphasized eye contact. The scroll explained that a single glance from a Sharingan wielder wasn't just about catching someone in Genjutsu—it was about planting the seed of doubt. Once a target questioned their reality, even the simplest illusion could take root and grow.

The second Genjutsu detailed was Whispering Shade, a technique that made the target believe they were hearing soft, unintelligible voices—just barely beyond comprehension. A slow, creeping paranoia would settle in, making them second-guess every sound, every movement around them. A subtle but dangerous technique for wearing down an opponent's mental state before striking.

I moved on. The third technique, Eclipsing Gaze, was what finally caught my full attention. Unlike the others, this wasn't just an illusion—In a sense, it was like a layered reality distortion. The user could make the target experience short, fragmented visions of the future, but in randomized order. Sometimes real, sometimes not. In battle, this meant forcing an enemy to hesitate, unsure if what they were seeing was truly happening or just another fabricated glimpse of what might come next... However, it's taxing on the user since it requires high chakra and control for proper usage. even at this level...

And this was just the first-level scroll? What about the second, third, fourth and even fifth level?

Alright, time to move on...

"I've never thought I'd see the day someone would read all our clan's scrolls within half an hour..." Fugaku commented.

"Like I said, I have a pretty great memory."

[Host... We can take the time now to go through the metamorphosis, rather than later.]

'I agree, but for now, I want to see this place a little more. It, bothers me for some reason...'

I've been thinking about this for a little while now, but seeing this section of the village, peaks my interest. Plus, it's not adding up as to why Itachi would murder his entire clan. They do not seem like the arrogant people they were portrayed to be in canon...

The official story was that Fugaku led a coup to overthrow the village, and Itachi, the ever-loyal shinobi, slaughtered his clan to protect Konoha. But standing here, actually seeing this place—that doesn't even make sense...

The Uchiha weren't a group of reckless insurgents... If anything, they were disciplined, pragmatic, and were relatively cool headed strategic people. They were warriors, yes, but they weren't fools by any means. The idea of them launching an all-or-nothing coup against a village full of shinobi, including the Hokage, the ANBU, and potentially the other clans?

That wasn't a plan. That was a suicide mission. In fact, that's totally implausible.

Fugaku wasn't stupid. If he really pushed for a coup, then it's clear it wasn't to take over Konoha—it was likely to secure his clan's survival.

I let out a slow breath, running through what I remembered of the timeline in my head...

During when the Nine-Tails attack had happened. The Uchiha were blamed for it. Which meant they were practically isolated, forced into a section of the village where their influence was practically cut off. The clan had no real political power, and probably had no seat in major decisions. And worst of all? They were probably being watched.

The ANBU likely didn't even guard the Uchiha. They more so monitored them. At some point, Fugaku must have realized something: The Uchiha had no future in Konoha.

At least, not as things were right now.

The village would never trust them again, no matter how much they swore loyalty. Their children would grow up under constant suspicion, their influence would continue to shrink, and eventually, they would become nothing more than a token clan—stripped of everything that once made them great.

It's clear that this so-called coup wasn't about power.

It was about survival.

It wasn't a first move—it was a last resort.

Fugaku must have tried to negotiate first. He had to have. The Uchiha weren't dumb enough to go straight to rebellion without attempting diplomacy. But the higher-ups—Danzo, the elders, even the Hokage himself—likely strung them along, delaying, stalling, feeding them empty reassurances while tightening the noose...

At some point, the Uchiha realized: If they didn't act, they would be erased.

And of course, Danzo? He didn't just want them gone—he needed them gone. The Sharingan was too powerful. The Uchiha were too unpredictable. And with the village already on edge, all he had to do was frame them as a threat—one that needed to be handled before they turned against Konoha.

Itachi at this point was just a tool. A pawn in a larger game. And if I remembered correctly, he knew that; at least, eventually he did.

I clenched my fists, exhaling sharply. It was so obvious now... The Uchiha weren't traitors. They were just people backed into a corner with no way out.

And the worst part? They never even got the chance to fight back...

[Host... Your brain is releasing several chemicals, revealing signs of anger and distress... What are you thinking about?]

'Ah~ It's nothing N.E.O... I'll be leaving soon.'

The more I thought about the Uchiha downfall, the less sense it makes... These people don't have to die. They can live, at least the innocent can... And, I think I have just the way to do it.
