The moment they felt that presence, that ever-growing, evolving power, they gasped.

"Aquarina! It’s her! She’s coming!"

"Really?! So fast!"

But they didn’t stop there, suddenly falling to their knees in utter disbelief!

"That presence… She’s… wait… wait a second! No way?!"

"It can’t… be! Or is it?! Aquarina has…?!"

Shade and Nepheline glanced at one another, in utter disbelief.

"Those are traces of…"

"Divinity!"

As they awaited their daughter’s arrival, putting their hope in her success, Aquarina underwent a sudden change, her entire body became even more draconic than before.

Her scales became hard interconnected armor over her entire body made of black steel-like ore, her tail grew incredibly long, resembling a giant blade.

She had no wings, but she didn’t need them, her legs and hands became giant dragon-like claws…

And whatever little skin could be seen below her scales had turned deep black, like black iron itself.

Her eyes became draconic, red and gold in color, with traces of azure resembling stars.

Her black metallic horns grew out of her head, resembling spears that would pierce the heavens.

And her heart crystallized over her chest, creating a powerful core that powered her entire new transformation.

And that voice, the voice of some old man echoing through her mind, of a wise… dragon.

Her roar reverberated, reaching all the way out of the pit and shattering the ground in the surface.

Aquarina swung her fist with all her strength, as a draconic aura surged, shaping into a massive three-headed draconic monstrosity.

Seas, darkness, shadows, stone all merged.

"{Abyssal Adamantine Dragon’s Fist}!"

"ROOOAAARRR!"

And the roar of a mighty dragon echoed, shattering and destroying everything in her path, the boulders, the magic circle, everything!

BOOOMMM!!!

Nepheline and Shade stepped back in disbelief as they saw Aquarina emerge from the pit, reaching high into the night sky, bathed by the moonlight.

"AQUARINA!!!"

Her parents cried in happiness as they saw her, jumping into the skies and then rushing down, landing over the dry steppes.

BAAAM!

At the same time, Pyuku woke up from all the screams and commotion, gasping as he ran towards Aquarina with her parents.

"Aquarinaaaa! You’re back!"

Her impact was like that of a meteor, hitting the ground and shattering it, leaving a massive crater. The intense force of her fall created heat that melted the stone.

Aquarina was right in front of that mess, slowly crawling out of the lava formed by her own impact, her draconic armor protecting her, before falling into pieces and dissipating.

"Hahh… Mom… dad…"

She looked utterly exhausted, malnourished, with her lips dried, and her entire body covered on wounds and countless scars.

Her hands were missing her nails again, and they were covered with so many stars they looked as rough as mountain stone.

Her entire body was a mess… but it exuded such power that… it was hard to believe this was the same Aquarina that came to Everstone at the beginning of the year.

"Aquarina!"

"You did it!"

"Ugh… I’m so hungry… Ahh… I-I need something to eat… and drink… I’m… dying, seriously…!"

She kept asking for help, but her parents couldn’t help but hug her and kiss her, they were so happy and relieved she was back, and even stronger than before.

Shade was already about to go find her due to how worried he was growing, and only Nepheline was there to stop him…

"A-Ah, right! Come with us!"

"I-I can’t walk…"

"I’ll carry you then! Shade, go roast all the meat we’ve gotten so far!"

Shade used his slashing and cutting techniques and quickly dismantled three monsters they had hunted, mostly giant bulls, deer, lions, and rhinos that inhabited these areas.

Using fire magic aplenty, they were roasted, and he quickly made a mix of spices, vegetables, various fruit juices, salt and sugar to caramelize them and make them as delicious and juicy as possible.

And then, as Aquarina was being feed Holy Spring Water which could hydrate her very quickly, due to her two spirits being unsummoned because they were exhausted, Pyuku copied the cooking techniques of others she had seen and learned, and quickly began cooking fried rice, mashed potatoes, and meat stew with the available ingredients. They had been waiting this entire time to give her a huge feast once she came back after all!

"Smells so good…"

Aquarina slowly sat down, as she was feed stew first, then rice, potatoes, and once she felt better, meat, tons of meat.

She ate, and ate, and never stopped eating for at least two hours straight, before passing out with her belly swollen from all the food she ate.

As she slept, her parents and Pyuku healed her, applied balms, creams, and other medicines over her wounded body.

And when Aquarina woke up that morning…

She felt completely different than before.

"I am… Tier 8?"
