Reincarnated into World of Nine Heavens and Ten Earths

Chapter 16: Chapter-15: Journey To The Xuantian Monastery!

For the past three months, Long Chen had been reveling in a much-needed period of tranquility, spending precious moments with his parents, friends, and his beloved. These serene days were filled with laughter, warmth, and the simple joys of family life. This serene interlude was a welcome respite from the relentless challenges he had faced. Amidst the warmth of familial bonds and the camaraderie of close friends, Long Chen found solace and strength. These moments were not only emotionally fulfilling but also vital for his spiritual well-being.

However, Long Chen knew that peace could be fleeting, especially in this world of his so, he continued his rigorous training regimen to solidify his foundation and consolidate the immense gains he had achieved from the Infinite Trial as well as the breakthrough from the Qi Condensing Realm to the Blood Condensation Realm was a monumental leap along with the additional force of prowess he gained from the Heavenly Punishment or the so-called Thunder Tribulation making Long Chen determined to ensure his newfound power was stable and under his complete control.

During this period, Long Chen's efforts were not solely focused on physical and spiritual training. From the profound depths of his memories, he discovered the Alioth Star Pill, a potent elixir linked to the Alioth Star, Second Star among the Nine Stars of Nine Star Hegemon Body Art as well as to memories integrated within him about pills originating from the memories of past life of his dear and beloved wife, the Pill Sovereign Xin Ran. This connection to his past was more than a mere recollection; it was a bridge to the vast reservoir of knowledge and power as well as an undisputable relation of love and closeness.

Long Chen's current form was a stronger, truer version, albeit tampered, of the legendary Nine Star Hegemon Art. Through this practice, Long Chen managed to condense his killing intent into a dense, dark aura that enveloped his body. This aura served a dual purpose: it amplified his killing power against his enemies while ingraining fear within the souls of those weak and incapable and simultaneously protecting his mind from the corrosive effects of his own murderous desires. This delicate balance allowed Long Chen to retain his humanity, unlike the typical nine-star heirs who were often driven to isolation and emotional detachment due to them getting chosen when they embarked on righteous path as betrayals they had suffered. In contrast, Long Chen's journey was marked by love, loyalty, and a profound sense of duty from his close ones, and due to his uniqueness as being the reincarnation of Shen Long and with the merged memories his past life's wife, Pill Sovereign Xin Ran.

His friends and lovers also devoted themselves to consolidating their realms and stabilizing their spiritual prowess. Each of them was at the peak of the Blood Condensation Realm waiting for the right time to breakthrough to the Tendon Transformation Realm while Long Chen barely reached the 5th-Heaventhstage of Blood Condensation Realm.

Long Chen's journey was one marked by careful preparation and profound determination. Before embarking on their next adventure, he sought the assistance of Elder Xie. Long Chen requested that Elder Xie conceal the Spirit Roots, spirit blood, and Ancient Runes within himself, his friends, and his lovers. This was a crucial step to ensure their safety and anonymity as they ventured into unknown territories. Elder Xie, understanding, meticulously performed the concealment, using his vast knowledge and experience to cloak their true potential from prying eyes.

After completing this task, Elder Xie took residence within a Spirit Stone mine. This location provided him with a continuous source of energy, allowing him to function efficiently and support designated individuals within the Empire. His presence in the mine also facilitated the maintenance of a large barrier, a protective measure that concealed the cultivation and spiritual strength of the people within the alliance of the Phoenix Cry Empire and the neighboring empires of Su Prefecture. This barrier was to remain in place until Long Chen signaled the appropriate time to lift it, ensuring a period of peace and stability for their homeland.

Three months passed in this state of heightened preparation and consolidation. During this time, Long Chen and his friends made sure that everything was in order for their families, close associates, and the civilians of the Phoenix Cry Empire. With a sense of duty fulfilled and a resolve to seek new horizons, Long Chen and his companions set forth on an ambitious journey. Their destination was the Xuantian Monastery, a renowned institution located tens of thousands of miles away within the Su Prefecture. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, filled with the promise of adventure and discovery.

As they traveled, they encountered various elders from different sects, both righteous and corrupt, who had gathered at the border of a vast mountain region. These elders were there to fend off an ongoing beast tide and recruit new talents for their respective sects. Initially, many of these elders showed interest in Long Chen's group, impressed by their potential and unity. However, their interest waned when Long Chen expressed his intention to join the Xuantian Monastery.

Elder Tu Fang of the Xuantian Monastery, upon hearing this, rejected Long Chen and his companions. He cited that they lacked Spirit Roots and that their Dantian were silent, effectively deeming them unfit for cultivation. This revelation led the other sect elders to lose interest and leave the area, taking with them the children they had chosen as new disciples. Despite Elder Tu Fang's complaints about their lack of concern for protecting the nearby cities and villages from the beast tide, the other elders did not return.

Amidst this departure, only two elders remained. One of them was a strikingly beautiful woman who introduced herself as Elder Hua Yu from the Divine Skywood Palace. She recognized the wood element talent in Xiao Hua and Chu Yao and offered to take them to the Divine Skywood Palace to further their cultivation journey. This proposal created a bittersweet moment among the four close friends—Xiao Hua, Chu Yao, Meng Qi, and Lu Fang'er. The sisters shared an emotional farewell, knowing that their paths were diverging, at least temporarily. Xiao Hua and Chu Yao hugged Long Chen dearly, understanding that they would be apart from their loved one for an uncertain period.

Elder Tu Fang and Elder Hua Yu were filled with anxiety. They were aware that defending against the beast tide and protecting the civilians would be nearly impossible with just the two of them. Their apprehension peaked when they noticed a crack forming on the formation disk, which was generating a barrier around the forest and mountain area to fend off the beast tide. However, their anxiety transformed into astonishment when Song Ming effortlessly dispatched a Rank-3 beast, his dual blades radiating a lethal combination of killing intent and Blade intent.

To their further amazement, Long Chen's friends and lovers began to decimate the beasts with single strikes, even those that exceeded their cultivation realms. The true spectacle, however, was during the latter half of the battle. While Long Chen's companions stood by without fighting, Long Chen and the wild-looking Wilde dominated the entire battlefield. Wilde, despite his untamed appearance, exhibited fighting prowess equivalent to the Early Stage of the Meridian Forming Realm. Long Chen, on the other hand, demonstrated power on par with an Early Xiantian Realm Expert.

With just one man and one saber, Long Chen, allowing Wilde to rest, finished off the Beast Tide almost instantaneously. The pinnacle of their display was Long Chen's defeat of a Rank-4 Beast, the fallen Griffin. This stunning victory ensured the safety of the villages, cities, and civilians from the Beast Tide.

As the battle concluded, Elder Tu Fang, though still a bit nervous, approached Long Chen. Recognizing the incredible potential and strength of Long Chen and his group, he extended an invitation to join the Xuantian Monastery. Long Chen and his companions formally accepted the invitation, expressing their eagerness to rise through the ranks by participating in the upcoming entrance trial, which was scheduled to occur in about three months.

After a brief farewell to Elder Tu Fang and a heartfelt, temporary, farewell to Chu Yao and Xiao Hua, Long Chen and his group set off towards the Xuantian Monastery. A few days into their journey, Grandmaster Yun Qi joined them, providing invaluable aid as they made their way to their destination. Grandmaster Yun Qi informed them that after escorting them to the Xuantian Monastery, he would proceed to the Su Prefecture's main Huayun Pavilion.

As they neared the Xuantian Monastery, Long Chen and Grandmaster Yun Qi sensed an intense, dense flame energy emanating from nearby. Upon investigation, they discovered the source to be an Earth Flame. Grandmaster Yun Qi, who had recently obtained an Earth Flame seed and successfully awakened it during Long Chen's seclusion, offered Long Chen the opportunity to refine it. Long Chen expressed his desire to personally refine the Earth Flame, leading to a collaborative effort between him and Grandmaster Yun Qi.

Utilizing the Nirvana Scripture, they controlled the flame energy surrounding the cave where the newborn Earth Fire resided. With a specialized technique from Grandmaster Yun Qi, they created an array that masked the aura of the flame energy, restricting it to a specific distance outside the cave. This precaution ensured that no one below the Sea Expansion Realm, not even Flame Cultivators, could interfere with the Earth Fire.

With their task completed, Grandmaster Yun Qi sent Long Chen and his group ahead to the Xuantian Monastery. He then made his way to the Huayun Pavilion in the Su Prefecture to procure a substantial quantity of medicinal and cultivation ingredients. Before parting, he handed Long Chen an amount of resources sufficient to support their needs.

During their journey, Long Chen and his companions experienced various challenges and opportunities for growth. The path to the Xuantian Monastery was fraught with dangers, but it also provided numerous chances to hone their skills and deepen their bond. Each encounter with wild beasts, treacherous terrains, and natural obstacles served as a test of their resilience and unity. All of them had their understanding and power increased. Even Little Snow had broken through to become a Rank-3 Beast while Long Chen had broken through to 7th-Heaventhstage of Blood Condensation Realm and his friends continuously tempered their Soul and body with Meng Qi and Lu Fang'er getting two Rank-4 beasts under Spirit Beast Contract.

Long Chen and his group had just been about to step onto the bridge when an unexpected gale force struck him at the back of his head. A contemptuous voice boomed, "Fuck off." Long Chen's killing intent surged at the attacker, an arrogant looking person with a face filled with disdain but lusting for the two girls. Just as the person was sneering at them with evil intentions, Shi Feng disappeared from his position and appeared in front of the person, destroying his whip and coldly saying, "Don't be too arrogant. You are nothing but a weakling." As his voice dripped with killing intent and a forceful tone, the person and the Eagle beast both felt paralyzed with fear.

"You were riding a flying beast that has nothing to do with the bridge! Brat, you better not let me catch you, or else!" Long Chen's voice was commanding and dangerous, filled with murderous intent that shook the souls of both the arrogant fool and his pet beast. The fear that the arrogant little fool felt was unlike anything he had ever experienced, as if his soul was being destroyed. Both the fool and the eagle flew off, their radiance of arrogance now dimmed and lifeless.

Suddenly, the sky darkened as another huge figure flew over. This time, the person atop the flying beast didn't attack. Long Chen looked up to see a brightly colored bird, its multicolored feathers magnificent. The rider glanced down, and Long Chen's heart skipped a beat. The rider was a stunningly beautiful maiden who appeared to be around sixteen. Her white robes fluttered gracefully over her slender body. Her black hair cascaded like a waterfall, framing her crescent eyebrows and starry eyes. She looked like a fairy, untouched by the mundane world. But her beauty was as cold as ice, making her seem unapproachable. She was none other than one of his to-be-wives, the icy cold beauty: Ye Zhiqiu.

Seeing her, Long Chen's eyes filled with warmth. Meng Qi, Lu Fang'er, Song Ming, Su Heng, Yu Yong, Shi Feng, Che Feng, and the others noticed his expression. They stared at him, sighed, and said, "Hah… Pervert." Hearing this, Long Chen snapped back to reality and tried to explain, but to no avail—no one listened.

The maiden was momentarily surprised by their aura. After a brief, indifferent glance at Long Chen, she flew off. Meanwhile, the others continued calling him a pervert, which he actually seemed to be. Wait… what!?

"Hey brats, get out of the way. If you don't want to die, move for this master. And if you do wish to die, how about leaving the two beauties for me?" Long Chen and his comrades were moving slowly, enjoying the scenery, when a sudden shout caught their attention. A youth riding a huge bull was charging directly towards them, disregarding Long Chen and his group entirely. Long Chen sighed. His face remained calm, but the others stopped making noise. Just as the brat was about to try to crush him, a large bird carrying a young veiled maiden came into sight. She pulled Meng Qi and Lu Fang'er aside, angrily saying, "Don't you have any regard for the girls? How da—" Her words were cut off as an enormous force and suffocating pressure pressed down, not only on the youth rampaging towards Long Chen but also on multiple others who were eyeing Long Chen's lovers.

The suffocating pressure was overwhelming, and the youth on the bull felt as if he had been struck by a mountain. He tumbled off his bull, landing on the ground with a thud. His arrogant demeanor vanished, replaced by sheer terror. The veiled maiden, who had intervened, looked around in shock. Long Chen stood there, his aura radiating power and dominance.

Long Chen's gaze locked onto the youth, his eyes cold and merciless. "You dare threaten us? You dare lay your filthy eyes on my beloved ones?" His voice was low and filled with menace, sending shivers down everyone's spine. The youth could only stammer, his bravado completely shattered.

"Pl-please, forgive me! I didn't know who you were! I didn't mean any harm!" The youth's voice quivered with fear.

Long Chen sneered. "Ignorance is no excuse for your arrogance. Learn your place." With a swift motion, he dismissed the youth and turned his attention back to his friends and lovers.

The atmosphere was thick with tension, and all eyes were fixated on Long Chen. He stood at the center of the force, radiating a terrifying aura that made everyone around him shiver in fear. His voice boomed, filled with unrestrained fury, "Nobody fucking says a word about or looks at my fiancés, you pieces of shit. This is the last warning." The venom in his words sent chills down the spines of those who dared to cross him.

Turning to Meng Qi and Lu Fang'er, Long Chen's demeanor softened slightly as he addressed the lady, "Thank you for helping, my lady," with a warm smile that touched her heart.

The veiled maiden nodded. "It was the right thing to do. No one should be treated like that, especially not by scum like him."

Long Chen approached the veiled maiden, his expression softening. "I once again Thank you for intervening. Your actions are appreciated."

Long Chen continued, his voice now gentle but firm, "Fang'er and Qi'er, both of you, head ahead with Tang Wan'er." Meng Qi and Lu Fang'er nodded obediently while the lady who was Tang Wan'er fell in shock as to how Long Chen knew her name. Long Chen's expression grew serious once more as he declared, "No longer need to keep yourselves concealed. Our original goal has been achieved. Remember, nobody is allowed to fucking insult us because that would be an insult to our family." As his words echoed, the auras of Shi Feng and the others soared, revealing their true strength as the 'Favored.' They moved with such speed that they became invisible to the onlookers.

In an instant, they passed through the bridge, leaving the crowd in awe. Long Chen, however, chose to step onto the water, defying their expectations. To their utter disbelief, he walked on water effortlessly, a feat far beyond their capabilities. Long Chen sighed, and with each step, a deep hole formed in the lake, showcasing his immense power. In the blink of an eye, he stood at the other end of the bridge, facing his friends and the other registrants. His eyes, cold and emotionless, pierced through the crowd, scaring the wit out of them.

Meng Qi and Lu Fang'er flew in the Eagle along with Tang Wan'er and a girl beside her as the two glanced back at Long Chen with their eyes filled with admiration.
