Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

Chapter 1661: Aquarina's Other Idea

-----

Agua looked at everyone while feeling slightly overwhelmed by their fascination over her powers, but she couldn't really blame them, a power such as hers had never seen before, even less as a natural part of a Physique and not some high-level magic spell or something.

She wasn't even a pure-blooded elf, but the descendant of an ancient lineage of half desert elves and half amazonian humans, by no means she should have developed such a power based in her ancestors or bloodlines, and yet her physique simply put everyone in awe.

"Agua, do you have a Spirit Heart?" Wondered Aquarina. "I've heard that not everyone is born with one usually, especially Half-Elves. But I know they can be developed if you have Elven Bloodline, as long as you can somehow tap into the Bloodline's Powers and Awaken them… My girlfriend Sylphy did that, she was born without one but developed a Spirit Heart after many years of training."

"A Spirit Heart? Oh, you mean the Aqua Heart?" Wondered Agualinda. "Oh yes, I do have it!"

"Aqua Heart?" Silvia asked.

"Spiritual Hearts develop differently in our tribe after our years of absorbing the essence of the Oasis and adapting to this spirit energy rich atmosphere," explained Aguarapida, the chief. "As Aquarina said, Spirit Hearts are not always a thing. For example, I was born without one. And I've been unable to obtain one, but there are a few of our shamans that possess them. we call them Aqua Hearts due to their blue color, whose brightness can be seen even beneath the skin sometimes. Those born with Aqua Hearts always offer their Aqua Hearts to the Spirit before dying. Although we have long lives, we usually die from old age, if we don't die in a tragic incident against a wild beast for example. This heart is offered to the Oasis, which feeds it with more life and energy."

"Y-You do such a thing?!" Aquarina asked. "That's kind of weird, you're offering your…"

"I know it might sound strange to outsiders, but don't we all die at the end? Our bodies, once we are dead, have no purpose. They slowly decay, and our bodies go back to nature, filling it with nutrients and mana," the chief explained. "By offering our Aqua Hearts to the Oasis and our Guardian, we assure that the power we take from the Oasis as we grow, goes back where it originated, creating a slow cycle that has boosted the growth of this jungle, and made the overall landscape even greener after many years."

"Yeah, I do remember that Svana told me that the Jungle here was much smaller thousands of years ago…" Nepheline nodded. "So I suppose your Aqua Hearts diverge from Spiritual Hearts in some ways?"

"You could say so," Nodded the chief. "Unlike other Spirit Hearts from our ancestors, they're born immediately tied to the Water Element. And boost our Water Elemental Magic, the stronger it grows, the stronger our Magic becomes. At the same time, it can become a house for Water Spirits. Only those born with Aqua Hearts are chosen by Water Spirits, direct servants of the Great Oasis Spirit, and our strongest magicians… I was honestly surprised my daughter had yet to obtain the friendship of one, seeing as she was born with an Aqua Heart. But thankfully, that is resolved now."

"Interesting, it's fascinating how your tribe diverges even from the Everstonians," nodded Shade. "This world is truly full of wonders, even now, we constantly evolve, tribes are being made and then separated by both traditions and unique powers they develop… Hah, I apologize if I sound strange. I am just a researcher at heart, even if I don't seem to be that way based by looks."

"Oh no, it's alright, we appreciate your kind words, Hero Shade," the chief smiled gently. "Agua, that's enough for now, you should rest for the moment and slowly understand your abilities better. Perhaps once you go hunting with your friends after those Giant Fire Ants."

"Yes mother," nodded Agualinda, she was a very obedient girl, she went back to normal and started to gently play with floating spheres of water that emerged from the palms of her hands.

It was still amazing what she could do, and some of the tests they had done included cutting one of her arms made of water and then letting her return to normal. The result was that she didn't lose her normal arm, which would appear instantly through flowing water.

This probably meant one thing, as long as she turned parts of her body into water, those parts would never be severed fully and can always recover and regenerate.

However, for her torso and head, that wasn't the case for now, she would have to train harder and perhaps rank up her Physique before being able to turn fully into pure Spiritual Water.

At that point, Aquarina imagined Agua could outright become a Water Spirit itself, instead of actually having to fuse with one or something.

"It's pretty crazy when you think about it," explained Justicio. "Agua now has the potential to turn into a Spirit?! That's insane…"

"Well, I mean, Sylphy can turn Souls into Spirits! She had done it before," Aquarina explained. "But they're usually the fragments of powerful souls, from dead people or creatures. But what Agua has the potential to do goes a bit further, she has the potential to truly transform into one even with her physical body, that's crazy."

"How does her body even work though? Turning flesh, bones, and blood into pure water without making it look gory… I don't get it," muttered Silvia.

"I mean, isn't that how magic usually works? Her magical powers probably let her transmute her physical body in a way," explained Aquarina. "Anyway, how do you feel so far, Agua?"

"I'm fine, Aquarina. Thank you again for this… It's truly an incredible blessing, and I'll use this power well," nodded Agua.

"Well said! Alright Silvia, it's finally your turn! Bring Khepri along, she's becoming part of your physique," Aquarina smiled.

"M-Me?!" Khepri panicked. "Is that even possible though?!"

"I have an idea how…" Aquarina smiled.
