Chapter 3: 3 Bad Luck
In the Human World, life star no1, 'Earth', In a peaceful corner of Busan, Korea, a modern villa stood as a testament to the duo's influence.
The original bodies of 'Gyulas' and 'Odos', a stunningly handsome Korean young man and a breathtakingly beautiful Korean lady, wore a simple black and white hoodies and payjama, sat on their sofa, leisurely watching a drama.
The man's chiseled features and strong jawline were accentuated by his sleek, raven-black hair, perfectly styled to frame his heart-shaped face.
His piercing brown eyes sparkled with amusement as he watched the drama, his full lips curled into a subtle smile.
The woman, on the other hand, was a vision of elegance. Her long, silky black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her delicate features were highlighted by her smooth, porcelain-like skin. Her bright, expressive brown eyes shone with warmth.
Together, they exuded an aura of refinement and sophistication, their Korean features blending seamlessly with their luxurious surroundings.
Gyulas and Odos received a notification from their avatars, after checking the details they, they exchange knowing glances.
Gyulas chuckled, "A rare occurrence, indeed. So many coincidences can't be mere chance. We need to keep a close eye on him."
Odos nodded in agreement. "If this is truly something the verse has prepared, we must ensure it unfolds accordingly."
Gyulas turned to Odos, curiosity sparking in his eyes. "How long has it been since the Origin Will last chose a thousand beings and granted them maximum power?"
Odos pondered for a moment before responding, "A million years, to be exact."
Gyulas's smile grew wider. "This makes sense. Let's watch over him and guide him. Perhaps one day, he'll become a Transcendent."
Every million years, the Origin Will bestowed maximum power upon the Origin-Verse. A thousand beings from various life stars received this power, striving for transcendence. However, only one or two ever achieved it. Most either perished or plateaued at a certain stage.
Odos activated a screen displaying Damious's image. Together, they began to observe him closely.
----------------------------------
Somewhere, In the Dragon World, Damious stood awestruck, gazing out at the breathtaking landscape unfolding before him.
The plain stretched out in every direction, a vast expanse of unbroken green that seemed to meet the horizon at a perfect line. The ground was smooth and even, punctuated by occasional small ponds that glimmered like shards of glass in the sunlight, their calm surfaces reflecting the brilliant blue of the sky above.
But what truly caught Damious's attention were the caves. Towering above the plain, they seemed to defy gravity, their entrances yawning open like giant mouths in the earth.
He checked his profile window and panic set in as he realized his predicament. "Why am I a weak wyvern in a world where dragons reign supreme? I need to find shelter, fast, or I'll become a dragon's next meal!"
Fear drove Damious to frantically search for a hiding spot, but every crevice and cave seemed exposed and vulnerable.
He panicked even more "Shit! why can't there be a small and covered cave!"
In the Dragon World, wyverns were the preferred prey of dragons, their natural predator. It was a brutal, ancient hierarchy, with wyverns at the bottom. Damious's reincarnation as a weak wyvern made him an easy target.
"Finally! found it" Just as he spotted a potential hiding spot, the ground shook beneath him.
THUDDD!
The sound sent Damious's heart racing, and he knew he was out of time. A dragon had found him. He hurriedly tried to go in the gap but to no avail.
A massive, battle-scarred dragon descended upon Damious, its eyes blazing with fury.
Tharros, a fearsome red dragon from the esteemed Origin Power Dragon Clan, ruled the skies with an iron fist.
For centuries, he had been the undisputed king of these small regions, and he would not tolerate any invaders - especially a lowly wyvern like Damious.
Damious shouted in agony, "What the fuck! Why am I being attacked as soon as I reincarnated? At least give me some time to manage my senses. This is unfair, this is too unfair!" But his words were lost in translation.
As a lowly wyvern, he could only roar in a language Tharros couldn't understand.
Tharros sneered, "You rat! Just now you invaded my lair, ate my precious fruit, and now you're shouting back at me!?"
Damious tried to explain, but his words were again lost in a meaningless roar. "What the hell are you saying! It's not me, it's this worthless wyvern that stole it. Not me, I'm just reborn in his body!"
Hearing his constant roars, Tharros's thought he was saying he didn't ate it. Then his expression turned incredulous. "You think you can deceive me, wyvern? I can smell the stench of my stolen fruit on your breath!"
Damious realized that Tharros was beyond reason. The dragon's fury was all-consuming, driven by a primal urge to protect his territory.
Enraged, Tharros attacked Damious with his huge claws. Damious, still disoriented and weak, tried to defend himself, but Tharros was too powerful.
The dragon's claws tore into Damious's scales, ripping them apart like paper.
Damious screamed in agony as Tharros's flames engulfed him, scorching his flesh and searing his lungs.
Despite the overwhelming pain, Damious refused to give up. He summoned every last ounce of strength, flailing his wings in a desperate bid to escape.
But Tharros was relentless, pinning Damious to the ground with his claws. As the flames consumed him, Damious felt his life force ebbing away.
With a final, defeated cry, Damious's vision faded to black, his body reduced to a smoldering, charred husk.
The scene faded, and Gyulas and Odos reappeared, watching Damious's reincarnation with great interest.
They exchanged a knowing glance, their faces twisted into disappointment.
"Ah, Tharros is indeed a formidable foe," Gyulas said, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Odos nodded, her voice dripping with complicated emotions. "Yes, Damious's struggles are so... Anyway I feel bad for him we can't even observe anything special this time."
Gyulas chuckled, also displeased by Damious's misfortunes. "Let's see what will be his next reincarnation. I wish he can last for at least some days before dying."
Odos nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Yes, I also think so. This time, he doesn't even have time to catch his breath."
As they continued to watch, the scene shifted again, and Damious was reincarnated into a new beast.
