"Disobedience?" Skeptical, Iceheart narrowed her eyes, and her expression showed how doubtful she was at his reason.

"Of course, you disobeyed my order and hence the punishment." Xu Feng remained unfazed by her reaction.

And he continued, "Or did you expect me to tell you to lower your knees and give me some gwak gwak 3000 crap? Stop thinking too highly of yourself, you narcissistic icy woman!"

"N-Narcissistic?" Astounded, Iceheart never believed herself to be narcissistic. She was merely distant to strangers she didn't know, especially when she couldn't even count how many strangers came to her, asking for her numbers.

"Seriously, your type doesn't work anymore. It's cringe and annoying." Xu Feng flatly warned her.

"I legit don't care if you're a beauty or ice cold in personality. But no matter what you are, my commands and instructions are final in this raid. If you can't comprehend that, then please take you and your narcissism back to your base city." He added, giving her an ultimatum.

The last thing he needed on his team was someone with a hero complex who thought they were the only ones who could be the hero to save the day.

Filled with anguish and fury, Iceheart coldly rebuked, "One, I never think of myself as beautiful. Second, who the hell wants to do whatever that gwak gwak 3000 is for you? And lastly, I'm not narcissistic!"

"Oh, I see, then why did you disobey my command and act on your own, you attention-seeking freak." Xu Feng crossed his arms and demanded an answer.

"What choice?" Iceheart gnashed her teeth, feeling this man was extremely hateful. It appeared that his treatment of Emberwolf and Soulstrider wasn't mainly because they were his enemies, but that was simply his real self taking over.

He had been acting generously and easygoing as a facade to conceal his hideous and despicable personality.

"Obedience or disobedience. Choose your pick." Xu Feng declared, his tone extremely solemn.

"Haven't I been obedient by standing here throughout the battle already?" Iceheart argued, unbeknownst to her, that she had been subdued by him already.

"Yes, now you are getting reprimanded harshly." Xu Feng nodded and continued in a very low tone, "Your earlier impulsive action nearly got us a team wipe."

"How did I get us into a potential team wipeout situation?" Iceheart pursed her lips, wondering if he was trying to falsely accuse her again.

To her surprise, and everyone else who was busy resting, they noticed the sludges that were killed had started to disintegrate their blob form. However, it didn't disappear completely. But rather left a burning trail that ignited everything nearby.

The floors were ignited and left with extreme marks. What made it unbelievable was that the floors continued to ignite, burning very bright and strong.

"Vortex Viper, try to use Frostbolt and shoot at the ignited floors." Xu Feng commanded.

Without hesitation, Veronica stood up and wielded her staff, casting Frostbolt directly at the ignited floors.

Upon impact, the collision made a sizzling sound, almost as if it were a cooling effect of the fire mixed with ice. White gasses puffed up the air and covered the scene temporarily.

By the time the white gasses disappeared, everyone's eyes widened in surprise. Disbelief filled their faces as they just witnessed something impossible.

"How is the floor still igniting so intensely despite getting blasted by the Frostbolt?" Ardent Lance pointed at the floor and asked in a dazed tone.

Even the mysterious DeathLingers who had been resting on the side, tilted his head in confusion at the development.

"The ignition melted the frost instead of the opposite." He spoke for the first time, giving his input on the bizarre situation.

"Can I try to extinguish the flame?" He then stood up, turned to Xu Feng, and asked for permission, a far cry from Iceheart's action earlier.

"Give it your best shot," Xu Feng gestured his hand, allowing him to test.

Without further ado, DeathLingers quickly unleashed a barrage of cold daggers at the ignited floors and clenched his fist.

Moments later, the daggers detonate in a massive explosion of ice and cold.

"Glacial Burst eh." Xu Feng mused at the assassin's skill as he recognized the move with a glance.

Glacial Burst was a skill that detonated an object or item, typically daggers for assassins that caused a massive explosion of ice and cold.

It dealt heavy damage and slowed all enemies caught in the blast for 5 seconds. Additionally, frozen shards would be sent flying out, capable of piercing nearby enemies, and dealing additional damage over time.

Such an offensive AOE attack should have extinguished the ignited floors, but the result remained unchanged.

"The ignition could not be cleansed through normal usage," DeathLingers reported his finding, deducing that it required a special method.

"Let me try it!" Iceheart lifted up her sleeves, wanting to give it a test herself. It wasn't that she didn't believe DeathLingers' judgment, but testing it again wouldn't do any harm either.

"Ahem," Suddenly, Xu Feng cleared his throat, reminding Iceheart about something.
