William was waiting for her to do so. He knew the only path in front of her to change this hopeless situation lay in fixing the portal. And so, he waited for her to move away from her guards and then attacked her.

"Tsk! If we were on the higher realm, this battle would have gone differently," Lingerie gritted her teeth, while defending against William's attacks.

"Can't deny it," William evilly smirked, before dashing again and landing a few hits over her, "but you are in my turf now, and you have to play by my rules."

Lingerie was in a more hopeless position right now. She wanted to slip away from William, and yet she found herself getting bombarded with a barrage of attacks from him, slowly moving away from her guards.

She had no control over the flow of this battle. She was caught off guard from the very start. She tried to resist and escape, but every single time she tried she suffered a wound or a couple.

Luckily for her, William's attacks weren't that strong to begin with. He was attacking her without storing any attack on his tails, which made her feel a little relieved for a reason.

"You are trying to buy time? For what?" After ten minutes, William could easily tell what she was trying to do. She wasn't desperately fighting him, instead it felt like she was meticulously calculating every strike, every move, slowly bidding time. And that alarmed him for the reason behind such weird behaviour.

"It's too late now," and yet as he spoke, the portal suddenly started to shine, "even if you managed to get me unguarded, you don't have what it takes to kill me…"

"Who?" Just as the portal flashed, William could tell what she was aiming for. Even if she failed to fix the portal, the portal is still working. After enough time passed, it was time for another batch of masters to cross over.

William knew he had the upper hand till these masters would arrive. He'd find himself in the middle of a swarm of hostile masters. Even if they weren't strong enough to threaten him, they were enough to give Lingerie a chance to escape and even fix the portal.

Just when Lingerie saw a glimpse of hope in front of her, William smashed it without any hesitation.

"Hey, what are you doing? Let me down! I'll kill you…"

"Shut up!" William dashed forward, and instead of attacking, he simply carried her body on his arm, and dashed with all his might away from here.

Seeing what happened took her by surprise. Lingerie found herself moving fast, away from the portal and her guards. This infused her with great fear, as she knew the moment she was cut off her incoming reinforcements, she was done for!

"I'll kill you!" she was hanged almost upside down, yet her hands were free. She tried to hit William with everything she got, and yet William instantly shifted into his monster form, while defending himself using his tails.

"Are you an octopus or what?! Let me down, you freak!"

Just as the direct attacks didn't work, she shifted and started to use a wider form of attacks. She knew this type of attack wasn't enough to kill or even threaten William, but it was enough to delay him or even let her free.

"I said… Shut the hell up!" but unlike what she expected, William still got tricks up his sleeves. The moment she started to use such wide ranged attacks, he threw her in the air, before grabbing her body midair using one of his tails, before throwing her away like she was a tossed ball.

As she found herself free in midair, she thought she was gonna escape. But when she prepared herself to land on the ground, then escape, she found her body getting wrapped again with another tail, before getting thrown in the air.

"I'll kill you no matter what!" her screams echoed in the vast battlefield, while everyone watched this weird scene playing in front of them.

It was clear to William's masters that he was pushing Lingerie away from the direction of the portal. And without the need for anyone to give the order, all of William's side broke their fights and started to retreat.

They knew a new gush of enemies was coming. Even if they managed to deal a strong blow to their enemies, there were still too many of them on the entire battlefield. Not to mention they were scattered, not in any strong position to fend off the upcoming wave of enemies from the portal.

Yet as they retreated back to where the bulk of their allies were, the experienced masters made sure to do it in an organised way. That left little room for their enemies to hunt them down, letting them retreat with the least number of losses.

"Tsk! That lad is indeed outrageous!" Seeing what William was doing to Lingerie made Fang evilly smirk. It was clear that Lingerie was trying everything in her power to stop William, but the latter ignored everything she threw on his face and kept toying with her.

"He is dangerous," unlike Fang, Sloth was feeling totally the opposite, "I can't let him near our princess…"

"What a fool," Fang muttered when he heard what Sloth said, giving him a glaring look from the latter, one that he didn't care about, "let's make sure that poisonous lady won't escape."

Just as everyone was retreating, Fang and Sloth led the high-end masters on their side to go closer to William. Their intention was clear to William the moment he spotted them, and Lingerie felt more threatening as she spotted the incoming masters using her spirit sense.

Yet just before the two sides would meet, the portal shined brighter, and the entire world shook before a new wave of enemies appeared.

"Interesting…" William was surprised to see that only a few thousand masters came from the other side, "it seems you messed up the portal, can't thank you enough for that!"
