The demons surged forward like a living tide, their grotesque forms illuminated by the pale moonlight as they closed in on the lone figure standing at the center of the field. Their yellow eyes burned with hunger, and their snarling mouths dripped with anticipation, eager to devour the human before them. Yet, just as Mori was about to react, his system suddenly flashed a notification before his eyes.

Quest: [Instinct]

- Kill all [352 Demons] while taking less than [60 direct attacks]

- Restriction: Cannot Unseal Your Power

- Reward: [System Upgrade], 200,000 MCoins

Mori's thoughts ground to a halt for a split second.

"Fuck," was all he could think as he processed the situation.

Although he possessed overwhelming power, he had always been able to end fights in mere seconds. His absurd physical strength and inhuman speed allowed him to bulldoze through enemies without ever needing to refine his defensive skills. His raw force was enough to overpower nearly anything in his path. But that, in itself, had become a flaw—one he could no longer ignore.

"I guess this is as good a time as any to learn how to properly dodge," he muttered under his breath. His eyes glinted with excitement as he skimmed the last part of the notification. "And another system upgrade? Hell yeah."

However, his moment of reflection had cost him.

A group of stronger demons had already leaped toward him, their monstrous limbs stretched forward with terrifying force. Mori barely had time to register the attacks—one demon thrust a spear-like arm toward his head from the left, another aimed a devastating punch at his right leg, a third slashed at his liver with razor-sharp claws, and the last one launched a brutal strike toward his calf.

Instinct took over.

Mori moved on pure reflex, his body reacting before his mind could catch up. He managed to snatch the spear-like arm in his left hand and intercept the claw with his right, stopping two attacks mid-air. However, the other two strikes connected before he could react, slamming into his body with considerable force. Though his skin was incredibly tough—far beyond human limits—the impact still sent a jolt of pain through his nerves. He gritted his teeth, exhaling sharply.

"Shit… 58 hits left," he thought as he flung the two demons away, their bodies crashing into the others with bone-shattering force. "I need to hurry."

Without wasting another moment, he called upon his system.

"SYSTEM! BUY TEMPORARY DIVINE LIMBS!"

A ding echoed in his mind.

(-5,000 MCoins deducted.)

Almost instantly, Mori's hands and feet were enveloped in a radiant golden glow. Divine energy crackled around his limbs like flickering flames, enhancing his striking power against demons.

His gaze snapped back to the battlefield just in time to see another group of demons lunging at him. Without hesitation, he executed a Recoilless Front Kick, his foot colliding with the nearest demon's torso. The force of the blow didn't just send the creature flying—it obliterated it completely, reducing its body to dust. The shockwave alone tore through five other demons behind it, their bodies disintegrating under the sheer pressure of his attack.

Mori landed lightly on the ground, before he could move he suddenly saw more Demon's attacking him. He could see and feel them coming from all sides with his 360° vision—five punches from the right, two slashes from the left. His muscles tensed as he analyzed the angles.

Dodge left. Pivot right. Counter.

His movements became sharper, his reactions faster. He avoided two punches and a claw strike, simultaneously countering with brutal efficiency. Each motion was amateur yet fluid, as if his body was starting to move on its own, adapting to the rhythm of battle yet the other 3 punches and Claw strike hit his body, earning a grunt from him.

Another set of demons rushed in—two more punches, four claw swipes. Mori twisted his torso, narrowly evading three claws and one punch while retaliating with a crushing blow to their skulls.

As the battle raged on, Mori's awareness heightened. His senses sharpened to an unnatural degree, his mind processing everything around him at an accelerated pace. Time itself seemed to slow.

But it wasn't just slow motion—it was something far beyond that.

This was Bullet Time, a Subnatural State of being.

In Slow Motion, a fighter moves at normal speed while perceiving everything around them as slowed down, allowing them to react accordingly. But Bullet Time was different. It wasn't just about perception—it altered his entire state of being. His enemies, his own vision, his nerves, even his own movements—all of it slowed down as if the world itself had shifted into another plane of time.

Yet despite this advantage, he wasn't dodging everything. He was still getting hit. The demons were too numerous, their attacks too relentless. But something was changing.

With each strike that made contact with his body, his instincts sharpened. His muscles memorized the movements, his reflexes adjusted to the patterns. He wasn't just dodging randomly anymore—he was predicting. Calculating.

Anticipate. Adjust. React.

Attack. Dodge. Attack. Dodge. Attack. Dodge.

It became an endless cycle. Every attack thrown his way was met with a dodge, a parry, eventually he entered an epiphany like state, using his arms to preform a "redirected strike". His arms and legs moved like extensions of his will, guiding each attack into another. It was a principle Mori Dan had learned from Daewi Han—the ability to use an opponent's own power against them.

"The ultimate sense of control," Mori murmured under his breath, "is when you can fully utilize your body to redirect attacks effortlessly."

Daewi had tried to teach this concept to the original Mori Jin before, emphasizing the idea of using minimal energy for maximum efficiency. Mori had never fully grasped it—until now.

As his stamina drained, his movements became even more fluid. Every dodge, every counter, every step was executed with the least amount of energy possible. His body became a machine of perfect efficiency, moving precisely when and where it needed to with his entire body, Arms, Legs, Fingers, Toes, every body part was functioning with the least amount of energy possible while preforming with maximum efficiency.

The demons began to falter.

One by one, they fell. Their overwhelming numbers became meaningless as Mori danced through their ranks, cutting them down without wasting a single movement. Sweat dripped from his brow, his breathing heavy, but his focus remained unshaken.

And then—silence.

The last demon crumbled to dust.

Mori stood alone in the center of the battlefield, his chest rising and falling with exhaustion. His entire body was drenched in sweat, his muscles screaming in protest, but he had done it.

A notification flashed before his eyes.

[Quest Completed]

- Obtained 200,000 MCoins

- [System Update will last for 5 days. During this time, only basic functions such as Inventory and MCoins acquisition will be available. Shop will be temporarily closed.]

Mori exhaled deeply.

"Guess my mental endurance isn't as strong as my physical endurance," he muttered to himself. He took a few steps back, then collapsed onto the ground, staring up at the night sky. His vision blurred slightly from exhaustion, and his body ached all over, but a small smile tugged at his lips.

That was the hardest fight he had in a long time.

And it was fun.

As his eyelids grew heavier, the last thought that crossed his mind before drifting into sleep was simple.

"I should get a Godly physique or Yeoui soon..."
