Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer

Chapter 181: Death

Zenith watched in horrified shock as Christopher vanished into the thick, billowing smoke.

"What is he doing?!!" Tony's yell was a desperate cry cutting through the battlefield's chaos.

"Shit!! Land now!!" Zenith commanded Lazarus, but the immense golden dragon ignored her completely, banking away from the battle and flying them back toward the safety of the wall.

Enraged, she screamed at him, "You!! Aren't you worried about your master?!"

Lazarus's voice rumbled in her mind, a deep, resonant tone. "My master knows what he is doing. Now, shut up."

Zenith was utterly dumbfounded, her mind reeling from the audacity of the beast's response.

__

Meanwhile, Christopher landed on the scorched earth, his gaze piercing through the smoky haze:

"You're a bit troublesome," he said, his eyes fixed on the massive silhouette before him.

The huge horse took a step forward, its glowing red eyes locked onto Christopher.

"Why are you attacking Cordelia?" Christopher demanded, his voice ringing with authority.

"Attack?! I'm searching for something precious!" the horse countered, lowering its great head slightly.

"Something precious?! Couldn't you have asked for it?! Why did you have to attack and kill?!" Christopher yelled, his frustration mounting.

The horse raised its head, its gaze sweeping over the smokey surroundings.

"With all the guns and weapons pointed at me, what did you expect me to do?!" it retorted, its red eyes glowing brighter.

"I'm speaking with you because you're currently the strongest one here. So you must be the leader, right?!"

"I am not the leader. I am here to help them," Christopher clarified, his gaze unwavering.

"Tell me what you are looking for, and I can help you. If you choose to continue fighting, I have three sky-stage beasts ready at my command. Do you really think being a sky-stage beast makes you immortal?!"

The horse fell silent, its mind calculating the odds. Fighting three sky-stage beasts at once was a battle it would surely lose. A faint voice echoed in its thoughts:

'I sense two powerful life force energies right above me. My skill locked their ability to fly, but those two could still fly. He might be telling the truth. But should I tell him my mission?' The horse stared at Christopher, a war of caution and desperation raging within it.

"Why should I trust you?" it finally asked.

"Because you want to live," Christopher replied simply. He rubbed the ring on his finger, and two bright lights shot out, coalescing into the powerful forms of Lucas and Grim.

"This?!" The horse was stunned, staring at the two sky-stage beasts with utter disbelief.

"What do you say now?" Christopher asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"You... are you the supreme tamer?! The one who fought the war two months ago?!" the horse blurted out, a sudden realization dawning in its eyes.

Christopher was momentarily stunned, but he still nodded his head.

In that instant, the horse's fierce life force energy subsided. It went down on all four knees, bowing its massive head before Christopher.

"Master... I have finally found you."

Christopher was utterly confused, and even Lucas and Grim looked stunned.

"Master? When did I become your master?" he asked.

The horse looked up at him, tears welling in its eyes. "During the war two months ago, I was injured along with countless other beasts. I was stuck in my non-combat form. You saved me and took me out of the battle. I was so scared back then, so I made it difficult for you." The horse's head lowered sadly.

"Master had to use a temporal taming bond so I would listen... all to keep me safe. Then, all of a sudden, the bond broke. I rushed back to the battle after I was healed but saw nothing but bodies."

Tears streamed down its face as it continued its story.

"I thought Master had left me forever. Then a month ago, I sensed your powers. With my sky-stage strength, I rushed over to meet you, to show you I am not the weak elite-stage beast anymore. I want to help you and be beside you forever!"

Christopher just stood there, completely lost in thought:

'I saved so many beasts back then, even the Ant was saved by me during that time. I don't remember most things from my past self, and when I woke up, I only had the urge for revenge and strength. If not for Tiamat, I wouldn't have even remembered when I saved that Ant. But... I thought this little guy was dead?'

He stared at the huge horse before him, a flicker of recognition in his eyes. "Little horse... are you little horse?"

"Yes! I finally found you, Master!!"

"So you came all the way to find me?"

The horse nodded enthusiastically.

Christopher exhaled, the tension in his shoulders finally easing. He walked toward the horse.

"When I saved you, I was in a desperate battle. So I had to use a temporal taming bond on all the beasts there. Most of you guys didn't survive, but I am happy you did." He placed his hand on the horse's head, a gentle warmth flowing between them.

"You grew into such a powerful beast." He smiled.

"Thank you."

He looked up at the horse, his gaze full of warmth. "What do you say about forming a permanent bond with me?"

"Really?! Master, you will?!" The horse's voice was filled with excitement and hope.

Christopher smiled. "Yes. Will you?"

The horse quickly nodded its head, its immense body trembling with joy.

Christopher nodded back, and with his hand still on the horse's head, he activated his life force energy. A golden light flew out from the horse's head and entered his own, forging a bond that would last a lifetime.

___

SWHOOSH! SWHOOSH!! SWHOOSH!!!

Lazarus landed on the ground with a thunderous impact, and the soldiers quickly dismounted.

Zenith glared at the golden dragon before turning her attention to the smoke, which was finally beginning to disperse. All the soldiers immediately drew their guns and pointed them at the fading haze.

"Wait!! My elder brother is still in there!!!" Katherine yelled, rushing toward them on her Lion.

"Lower your guns," Philip ordered, jumping down from Tony's black dragon.

The soldiers looked at one another and, though reluctantly, lowered their weapons, their guards still high.

Everyone stood perfectly still, their eyes riveted to the scene as the smoke finally cleared, revealing...

".....???!!!!"

".....!!!"

The entire field was stunned. Christopher was sitting on the horse's back, a serene expression on his face. The two-horned horse stood perfectly still, looking completely harmless.

".....?!!!"

"Are we seeing things?!" Tony asked his twin sister, Tory.

"I thought I was the only one," Tory said, her voice a whisper of disbelief.

"Did... did brother tame that beast?" Adonis asked in shock.

"It looks like it," Chloe answered, her eyes wide.

"Does that mean..." Philip turned to Zenith, and the unspoken words hung in the air between them.

'He now has four sky-stage beasts?!' The thought exploded in their minds, leaving them all speechless.

__

High above the sky, five figures stood in the air, watching the scene unfold below.

"That's my son," Amara said with a proud smile.

"The master is incredible," Sunny said in awe, while Phoenix and the other two beast kings, Garrett and Ragnarok, nodded in agreement.

"What about your fifth king?" Amara asked.

"Xing had something important to do, so she couldn't make it," Phoenix answered.

Amara nodded and looked toward the horizon, where a massive cloud of dust and smoke was moving rapidly toward Cordelia.

"The monster tide," she said, her smile fading.

The four beast kings looked at the monstrous horde rushing toward them and then turned to Amara.

"Should we?" Sunny began, ready to spring into action.

"No. We are here to spectate," Amara stopped them, a small, knowing smile returning to her face.

____

BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!!

The horse, turned around with Christopher still on its back.

"I saw them when I was coming here, but I was in a rush, so I didn't act," the horse explained, its voice now much calmer.

"No worries. Their cores will increase my powers, and not only that, my other friends need to get stronger too," Christopher said.

"Other friends?"

"Come out, all of you!" Christopher commanded, raising his hand above his head.

BOOOM!!!

"....?!!"

Everyone below watched in shock as more than thirty lights flew out from Christopher's ring, taking the forms of countless beasts before him. Lucas, Grim, and Reaper took the lead, their powerful auras radiating across the battlefield.

Christopher stood on the horse's back and summoned his life force sword.

"Do you have a name?" he asked the beast.

"No, Master."

"Okay. From now onwards, you will be known as Death." He pointed his sword at the approaching horde of monsters.

"Attack!! Leave no one alive!!!"

"...?!"

Zenith, Philip, Advika, Tony, and the rest stood in stunned silence as Christopher shot forward with his beasts, charging toward the sea of monsters.

"Air locked!" he yelled, and all the flying monsters suddenly plummeted to the ground as Christopher's army of beasts began their bloodbath.

"What are you waiting for?!" Lazarus roared, spreading his immense wings and shooting into the air to join the attack.

"Yes!! Attack!!" Advika yelled, summoning Hellfire and rushing forward, with the others following close behind her.

_____

[In the city.]

The commander dusted off his hands, a satisfied smirk on his face as he watched the van driving away.

'It is done,' he thought.

'I will gain enough life force stones to get stronger!' he thought to himself.

"I am impressed."

He looked to his right and saw a figure walking toward him. It was Leon.

"Mr. Leon--"

"Extinction... that's my name," the young man corrected, his eyes fixed on the van in the distance. "Is everything set?"

"Yes," the general nodded.

BOOOOOOM!!!

"...?!!"

Both men were stunned as the trucks suddenly exploded, body parts scattering across the road.

"What happened?!?" they yelled in shock.

WHOOSH!!

Due to his enhanced speed and agility, Extinction quickly grabbed the general and used him as a shield.

BAM!!

A sniper bullet burst through the general's head, the projectile narrowly missing Extinction's ear.

"This?!"

Extinction threw the lifeless body to the ground and looked up in shock. In the distance, two figures stood with a sniper rifle and an RPG launcher.

"Christopher?" he said, dumbfounded. "Two Christophers?" he repeated, only to see more clones rushing toward him.

"Not happening!!" he shouted, quickly smashing a smoke bomb on the ground. By the time the smoke cleared, he was gone.

The clones came to a stop, looking around with confused expressions.

_____

Back on the battlefield, Christopher leaped off Death, severing the head of a monster as he landed on his feet. He raised an eyebrow, a grim look on his face.

"Leon... he is still alive and has gotten stronger. At least, the traitor is dead," he muttered to himself before cutting off another monster's head.

"Come on!! Leave no monster alive!!" he yelled, his voice a battle cry echoing across the field.

_____

[Golden Organization's hidden base.]

Extinction bowed before Darkness, his voice dark with shame.

"Master... the plan failed."

"Not exactly," Darkness replied, its body concealed in a shroud of dark energy.

"Go and rest. In a week, we attack Cordelia with our full force. Cordelia will fall."

Extinction stared at Darkness for a moment before bowing again and walking away, a burning rage in his eyes.

"Christopher, here I come," he said through gritted teeth.
