Chapter 5: First Life and Death Encounter!
"You are currently standing inside a spatial zone. The reason you don't feel a threat is because you are ignorant. The other reason is the fact that you're not strong enough. But that is not important; better pray you don't end up meeting others." The voice didn't wait to strike him with facts.
Indeed! With the current level of cultivation that Wu Shuang possessed, it was impossible to even detect the spatial fluctuations that existed in this place.
It was also the reason he dared to act the way he did without thinking about the consequences. The other most important reason for all of this was the lack of knowledge. It was just that even as his master's voice sounded, she had no intention of informing him about these issues.
It was justified on her part because Wu Shuang was not even able to understand. It would be like talking to a stone; as such, she only mentioned the topic without dwelling deeply on it.
"By the way, master, what did you mean by I should pray I don't end up meeting others?" He just remembered this important piece of information.
"That group that attacked you earlier didn't let you go. They just thought you might meet once you stepped into the spatial zone. Unless you are in the process of spatial transference, others in the spatial zone can locate you." The voice sounded in his mind.
It was from his master, but it made him feel as though she was trying to scare the soul out of his body.
"Are you serious? But I have never learned any combat techniques!" He was indeed alert. He was indeed in the True Martial realm and stronger than before because he had formed a Martial Body, but that was not enough.
Based on what he understood about the True Martial realm, he had to completely pass through the vein opening stage to practice combat skills and even showcase the might of this realm.
The soul in his body at the moment had a sneer as it thought of something, 'Hehe! You are concerned about some tricks from this group of second-level experts; don't you know what those extreme realm old fellows from your Wu clan have done to your blood? Well, let's not mention it at the moment; you are still incapable of doing anything about it.'
The soul in Wu Shuang's body was always indifferent and would willingly give guidance when it concerned cultivation knowledge but ignored him when it came to other issues unless he was in a good mood. It was not shocking that she knew something about what the Wu clan had done to their descendants. No wonder she didn't have any good opinion of them at all and even wanted Wu Shuang to leave this region fast.
Even though he felt uneasy, he had been exposed to this kind of situation since he was about nine and was used to it. At that moment, he composed himself and looked around vigilantly.
Thanks to this vigilance, he felt a sense of crisis enveloping him and quickly retreated, only to see a familiar attack land where he had been, but that was not all. On the side of his eye, he could vaguely see some shadows approaching.
"Trouble!" He was lamenting, but his grip on the sword he had picked up became higher. He couldn't unsheathe this sword, though; after various attempts, he had already given up. But even so, it was of some use as he was holding it as though it was some rod.
"There he is!"
"He dared to enter the spatial zone, clearly not taking us seriously."
The other side also became serious when the two yells that were inciting trouble reached them.
"Encircle this brat! Make sure that he pays for what he did to the young mistress." The sound was like an order, and Wu Shuang realized he had gotten in some trouble as this group wasn't made up of weaklings. He could feel the pressure that matched the second stage of the ability stage. He had no idea how far they had gone at this stage, but he didn't care.
Before he set out on this journey, his cheap master's soul had already informed him of the dangers as well as the benefits of venturing out. He was not going to back out of a fight, especially with those in the same realm.
He rushed towards them and decided to take initiative before anything else; after all, they were not here for the honor of the corpse; he could see how they looked at the sword he was holding. The greed in their eyes couldn't be concealed in the slightest, and thus only fighting was what was left.
Without even unsheathing the sword, he moved it along his arm, and before the guy dressed in a green robe could react, he was struck heavily on the head. He collapsed on the ground, unknown whether dead or alive. But the rest that had witnessed all of this angrily attacked too; they didn't expect he was so bold that he attacked them.
"Bold!"
"Presumptuous!"
"How dare you!"
When he heard all of these shouts, he ignored them and retained an expressionless face, but deep in his head, he was thinking differently.
"Are they mentally retarded? Master! Is this how practitioners usually act after they seek trouble with other people?" He was able to transmit information to the soul of his master.
When she heard what he had just asked, she felt that the things Wu Shuang was talking about were a little abnormal, but after thinking about it again, it seemed to make sense. The only problem was that she initially didn't see any problem with it.
When she was thinking about what to respond with, he had already vanished from the place and appeared before another one. He struck out with the sword as a spear, and it struck the chest of another second-realm expert heavily.
boom!
He felt his heartbeat pause for a moment, but Wu Shuang didn't stop, and his elbow followed, sticking the man heavily on the back of his head.
Ta!
The sound was intense, and anyone might swear they heard something cracking. The intense atmosphere seemed to have activated something, and a strong force swept by, and the resulting outcome was being knocked backward. As Wu Shuang retreated, he looked at cracks that were spreading along his martial body.
"Oh! No! It seems that a third realm expert was about to interfere in your fight, and this has triggered spatial transference. You are indeed lucky; otherwise, not even your bones would have been left behind." The voice in his head sounded like a spectator to all this.
"Master! Why does it always appear that when danger approaches me, you are watching a show instead of offering some survival tips? He indeed complained, but he got the same answer.
"Hehe! I already told you..." She had just started to reply when he cut her off.
'It is your life and your dao. Once I interfere, it will undoubtedly become difficult for you to move beyond a certain realm in the future. Besides. if you die, it can just show that the two of us don't have much faith to begin with.' After quoting her, he looked at the rapidly fading light before saying, "I have heard you say this so many times, I can practically repeat it myself."
Wu Shuang kept moving around and failed to locate an exit point, and just as he was about to start lamenting, he felt a flash of white light before his eyes; at the same time, a strange force seemed to vibrate across his body, making him extremely uncomfortable.
It became difficult to open his eyes in a short time, but he could hear the sound of birds, as well as insects. Something had changed, and he wasn't just unsteady after the strange state stopped, but he fell on his knees.
When he was in a state of confusion, he heard the sound of his master, and she seemed somewhat unhappy. "Barbarian Domain! Unfilial Disciple, are you perhaps those people cursed with bad luck?"
He didn't know what she was implying, but even so, he still complained too, "Unreliable master! Can't you see that your lovely disciple has collapsed on the ground?"
"Hehe! Who do you think you are? You are just my registered disciple. Even if you were to become an official disciple, you have to depend on yourself."
"Huh! registered disciple? What is that?" He had never heard of this, and listening to it the first time, he couldn't help but ask.
"Cough! Cough! It just means that after you withstood the process of forging a martial body, you barely qualify as a registered disciple. It is also for this reason that I can teach you some combat techniques!" She replied without even blushing.
"Huh! Master, that is not what you told me before." He couldn't help but complain slightly.
"Master was doing it for your good; after all, it doesn't matter how good your comprehension is; as someone in the mortal realm, the best you can achieve is taking a combat technique to the entry stage. Only when the veins in the body are unlocked and one has access to the Dantian can one be able to utilize the full might of combat techniques. It is even more beneficial, but things are different for those below this stage. Attempting to even perform entry-level combat techniques will result in internal injuries limiting future progress." She defended herself.
"Master! Stop lying. Doesn't Disciple know you best? You were doing it for your convenience, in case I can't even form a martial body and you are left behind to clean trash from our lineage, right?" Wu Shuang spoke as he looked into the distance, and didn't wait for confirmation as he knew it.
"You just mentioned Barbarian Domain; is there something I should be aware of?" He changed the topic casually as he focused on his survival.
