RISE OF EROS

CHAPTER 792

The battles between the northern elves and the beastmen against Esternet and Lismat had caused a stir across the continent. While not all countries were affected, the battle was so large and bloody that everyone knew about it.

At first, like almost all similar events, everyone blamed the Purgatory organization. It wasn't difficult to pin the blame on them, as Esternet and Lismat's attack followed this organization's modus operandi.

Excessive use of forbidden magic and the presence of malevolent and vicious creatures. It was strange, but somehow these two fallen angels had adopted a strategy similar to Luza's. They had experimented on beastmen and corrupted them to the point of turning them into monstrosities that sought only to kill.

Many elves and beastmen died in these battles, but they still emerged victorious. At the cost of many lives, they had defeated the beastmen army of these two fallen angels, and most importantly, they had prevented them from reaching their objective, which was the divine bodies in their possession.

The most curious thing was that while the elves knew what their enemy was after, the beastmen were a little more ignorant in this regard. The beastmen's council of elders had already suppressed this information.

Among the beastmen, only these elders knew that the beastmen possessed a divine body, so the beastmen actually fought without knowing for sure what they were defending.

They didn't understand the reason why the fallen angel who attacked them demanded a divine body, but since the council of elders had great power and they were the ones refusing to comply with the enemy's demands, the beastmen fought.

Obviously, the beastmen weren't stupid. While they didn't know that their race possessed a divine body, after this attack, it was clear that the elders were hiding something. No one dared to confront or question the elders, as they had been their protectors for centuries, not to mention that there was no one more powerful than them in their entire race.

This was because they had received the benefits of the divine body. Although they couldn't assimilate it like Crhono, like the liquid spirits of Rios and even Zaros in Cannes, their power had increased with their mere presence.

Absorbing the divinity of a god even after their death wasn't easy; the perfect example was these angels who fell into disgrace after trying. However, absorbing the remaining energy, which leaks out, was a benefit enough.

Even so, the most prominent leaders of the beastmen ethnic groups had to ask this time. Many of their relatives had died in this battle, so they had to get an answer from the elders.

The council elders didn't refuse to tell them. Hiding this information wasn't feasible, and doing so would only cause a rift in their relationships. No matter how strong they were and how much prestige they held, hiding it would cause problems.

Gathering in the cave where the divine body was, the elders told the beastmen leaders everything that was happening. They didn't lie and told them their reasons for hiding this information and even their plans for Crhono.

Ironically, the beastmen leaders didn't oppose the elders' arrangements. Many see the beastmen as brutes who only care about fighting, but in reality, they are the most disinterested in power.

Make no mistake, it's not that they don't want to become stronger; it's just that, for the beastmen, the power earned through their own efforts and fortune was their source of pride, so using the divine body for that purpose wasn't honorable in their beliefs.

It was precisely this mentality that kept everything peaceful and free of arguments or enmity. It also had to be admitted that the leaders were sharp-minded and understood the bigger picture.

They understood that they were at a crucial moment and were in danger, so they chose what benefited everyone rather than themselves. The elders couldn't be more proud of them for thinking this way.

Confidentially, while this discussion was taking place, Crhono visited them. Interrupting the meeting, Crhono was a little worried because, upon learning what had happened, he thought the council elders might back down on the arrangements they had made.

He was surprised to see that, like the elders, the beastmen leaders were sensible and favored the greater good. With all the respect he could offer, he thanked them for their sacrifice.

For the beastmen, it wasn't really a sacrifice, as they had never relied on the divine body for strength, but they still accepted Crhono's words of gratitude. It must be understood that for a race like the beastmen, power is synonymous with pride and admiration, so the words of the most powerful warrior on the continent were no small feat.

Because of his commitment to the cause, Crhono decided to tell them everything that had happened to the angels. He told them how they had also been attacked and the reasons for the attack.

He also told them who the enemies were and how they had been created. Everyone was astonished to learn this, as they had never expected that the most caring and selfless race known would fall victim to the lust for power.

Crhono didn't even hide from them that he had taken the divine body of the angels with the intention of furthering their plan. Although Andrew wasn't yet capable of absorbing their divinity, Crhono wanted him to absorb it first, before the divine body held by Zaros, as they had planned.

While they discussed all these matters, Andrew enjoyed his wives in Comers. News of the attacks on the elves, beastmen, and angels had yet to reach the city. While this city could boast of being the place with the most information on the continent, not everything was instantaneous.

Some events took longer due to the distance, and this was the case with the fallen angel attacks. Furthermore, due to the time difference, it was normal that they didn't know about it yet, as it was still nighttime here. In the spacious room, Andrew rolled around in the sheets with his wives.

With such a large harem, Andrew had to admit it was hard to keep up, but he wasn't a candidate for the god Eros for nothing. He certainly had to put in some effort, but he still fulfilled his duties as a husband.

Despite that, Andrew had to admit it wasn't as fun as it used to be. Many might think that being surrounded by beautiful women all willing to do whatever he wanted would be heaven, but it all depends.

Having so many willing women indeed fueled Andrew's ego, and the way he managed to satisfy them was also a feat, but the problem was that he couldn't take care of them all. Before Vaelyra, Helga, and Layla joined, Andrew could still somewhat manage the night's affairs, but now there were too many.

Make no mistake, it's not that he doesn't like it, but he resents having to leave them unattended. Andrew couldn't divide himself, so he could only focus on a couple or three of girls at a time, but now there were nine, so there were always five or six girls waiting their turn.

Andrew wasn't bothered by it, as he was always on the move, but he didn't like leaving them idle; he felt the passion was dying this way. Helena, who is the most perceptive in these situations, also noticed it.

After the wild night, as they lay in bed cuddled, sharing a quiet moment, this topic came up. Helena took control and immediately proposed using the rotation system again. They had adopted it a while back to allow Andrew to rest and not overexert himself.

Back then, it was because Andrew was weak and couldn't keep up, but now it was a matter of numbers. All the girls agreed to the proposal. From that day on, they would take turns spending the night with Andrew, and during the day, Andrew could visit whomever he wanted.

Furthermore, they would rotate among themselves so they wouldn't always be in the same groups. While all this was established in Andrew's presence, he didn't say a single word about this arrangement.

While he thought it was a good idea, this was something for their wives to determine; he wouldn't interfere with their arrangements. With that settled, they talked for a few more minutes about irrelevant topics until sleep overtook them.

The next morning, everyone woke up a little late, so they missed breakfast, but that didn't bother them. It wasn't unusual for them to happen; in fact, it had become normal for them to wake up at lunchtime.

What did surprise them was that they received news of the attacks on the northern elves and the beastmen. The information from the angels was still unknown, as the angels had isolated themselves, and few knew their territory.

This surprised Andrew and the others. Biacko was the one who broke the news, as Crhono had told him. Crhono didn't come in person because, knowing that the fallen god is sealed nearby, he didn't want to risk carrying something like a divine body that could destabilize the seal.

He preferred to return to the dragon territory and passed the message on to Biacko. Not only did he report the fallen angels, the attacks, and the recovery of the angels' divine body, but he also passed on the message that when Andrew was ready to absorb it, he would notify him.

Meanwhile, Crhono would store the divine body in the dragons' territory. This only added more pressure to Andrew. Before, he thought about how he would obtain the divine bodies he needed, but now, it seemed that had been the easy part.

They already had practically all of them; only the divine body in the elves' possession was out of reach, but that's a discussion for later. Now, Andrew had to focus on releasing his divine seals.
