Rise of the Rejected Deity from Chaos

Chapter 194: Finally, the Hero is Known

Seiya tore off one of the commander's arm, splattering blood around and onto the floor. The assistant and Beni's eyes widened with raw shock—fear settling within them just a minute later.

Only now was the assistant seeing Seiya for who he truly is, and it didn't only came with shell-shock, but fear for how brutal and ruthless he is.

Not a scream escaped the commander from having one of his arms torn off, but the shock was etched vividly on his features.

He didn't believe Seiya could go deeper with his brutality. No, he was just astonished that Seiya would be so brutal to him. A bit hypocritical, considering he was overtaken by anger a moment ago and was determined to kill Seiya.

Seiya casually let drop the commander's severed arm onto the floor with a thud like it was some piece of garbage.

"One more," Seiya said, reaching out his hand to tear off the other arm, while still holding down the commander.

Seiya's clothes had been covered with red from the commander's blood, and as he pressed the commander down with sheer strength, the commander couldn't break free no matter how hard he tried. Seiya's raw strength was just too much for his to compare with.

Unable to bear it any longer, Beni fell to his knees on the floor, crying and trembling bitterly.

Fueled by desperation, the commander's assistant tore his gaze from the commander, snapping it toward Beni who trembled with so much fear on the floor.

"What are you doing?!" He yelled, his face etched clearly with a mixture of anger, frustration and helplessness.

"Go get help! Do you want us all to die here?!" He shouted with desperation, sweating all over.

He had always looked down on Seiya. Hated him for personal reasons, and never saw him as anything more than a child without any privilege except the one they're being forced to give him—getting adopted by the commander.

However, after seeing a little of what he could do, only now has realization dawned on him. The young boy hadn't even used any ability—neither one of a demon's or an awakened. He was doing all this with just his pure strength, nothing more.

"Get help! Call someone!" He yelled to Beni helplessly, but Beni was far too traumatized to even budge.

Only an earnest cry was able to escape him as he trembled and cried on the floor.

"Please," Beni cried. "Please stop, stop."

"This idiot," the assistant cursed under his breath.

Hearing his plea, Seiya's hand that was twisting the commander's remaining arm, halted.

"Please stop all this," Beni continued in desperate tears. "He isn't the killer, he wasn't the one who killed her, it wasn't him." He revealed, weeping bitterly.

Amid this helplessness, the comamnder and his assistant were still shocked by Beni's revelation. They had both concluded Seiya was the accomplice as the evident pointed to him—there was not a single doubt he couldn't be him.

The revelation rose a simple question in their minds. If Seiya isn't the killer, why then had Beni relapsed in his presence?

Was he merely lying to cover up for Seiya and have him not kill them?

Whatever the truth may be, whatever the situation may be, the outcome laid in no one other than Seiya's hands.

They were sure that Seiya hadn't shown all that he could, but the little he'd shown had proven to them that they were no match for him.

Besides, what kind of speed is that? Or was it teleportation? The commander wondered.

"It wasn't him who killed her, so please," Beni repeated, his tears not dying down any moment. "Please don't kill them," he pleaded to Seiya.

"Like you had shown me mercy before….please spare them." Beni lowered himself forward and onto the ground, begging in a bowing position.

Like you had shown me mercy? The commander echoed within him, sweat soaking his form from the stiff, painful position Seiya had him pressed.

Seiya's gaze remained resting on the comamnder's back, but his focus was on Beni who was begging desperately to spare the commander and his assistant.

His intention wasn't to kill them from the start, and he still wasn't going to kill them. After all, he still needed to process his ID. He had merely lost his cool due to his hunger, and couldn't control himself when they blatantly accused him of something he didn't do.

Seeing the mess he had created by the few seconds he had lost his calm, Seiya exhaled softly. He released the commander, stepping back.

The commander's chest rose and fell, a deep sigh of relief escaping him. Same with the assistant.

Ast the commander rose from the table, pains shot through his entire body, some parts cracking with a loud sound as he straightened up.

He knew he had the young boy—Beni—and his stars to thank else Seiya could've really killed them if he wanted to.

With one hand severed, and the other twisted, the commander was as good as helpless. Crouching down, he pressed a button on the telephone resting on his desk with his chin—putting a call directly to one of the receptionists.

"Call someone in for me, I need help," he said as soon as the call was answered.

Silence fell over the room, the tension thick as everyone remained in their position. Seiya remained behind the commander who didn't turn, while the assistant remained on his knees with his broken arms, and Beni still had his face buried to the ground in his pleading position.

After a moment, a gentle knock came on the door and the commander quickly asked the person to come in.

A matured looking man, pale with curly brown hair, and clad in a captain attire, pushed open the door, making his way in.

As soon as he entered and saw the commotion—blood everywhere, the commander with a severed arm and the other broken; the assistant's arms hanging at odd angles, the young boy on the floor with his head buried and lastly; the young boy looking fine with blood stains all over him, standing behind the commander—the man instantly drew his sword that was sheathed by his side—getting into a fighting stance.

His bloodlust was directed straight at Seiya, knowing him to be the perpetrator to the chaos that had transpired in the offcie. After all, he was the only one looking fine.

However, before the man could process things further, the commander's voice cut through the tension.

"Put back your sword," he said. But the man was too unsettled by the situation to even listen. The commander's face turned cold, the air around him dark and stern as he glared at the man who refused to obey his words.

Seeing the commander's coldness, the man reluctantly sheathed his sword, bowing slightly in apology. But he couldn't help his gaze that flickered between Seiya and back.

"Get me a healer before it's too late to re-attach my arm," the commander ordered and the man bowed, turning to leave.

To Seiya, the commander turned, a tense big smile on his face. "Why don't you go take a bath first to wash off all the blood? I'll have them prepare your meal," he said softly, his expression warm but tensed.

Without hesitation, Seiya responded, "mn," before leaving the office.

After he left, the commander walked over to Beni. "It's okay now, you can rise," he said gently.

Slowly, Beni raised his head, peeking around to see if Seiya was still around.

"He's gone, so it's fine." The commander assured.

Seeing how broken the boy was, the commander knew he couldn't push him any further.

"I'll have someone come take you to the doctor," he said.

Beni simply nodded, rising to his feet, still trembling softly.

"But just answer me these," the commander pressed. "Was your teammate killed by a demon?"

Hesitating, Beni nodded softly.

"Then, was he the one who killed her?" The commander continued, referring to Seiya.

To this, Beni shook his head.

So he wasn't merely covering up for him? Was he really not the killer?

"Ok then, one last question. Was he the one who saved the villagers?"

At this question, the assistant's ears perked up. Even the commander's heart pounded softly, anticipating the answer.

"Y-yes," Beni replied.
